Being the Court report for the Final Court of Their Royal Majesties James and Elina II.  Court held September 28, AS 37 (2002) at the Coronation of Rurik and Elspeth in the Barony Marche of the Debatable Lands.  Edmund Tregelles, reporting herald with the assistance of THLady Giulietta da Venezia and THLord Cadell Blaidd du.

Alaxandair O Conchobhair was recognized as a Master Bowman.

His Royal Highness Rurik came into the Royal Presence.  He was querried as to what business he had before the Crown.  Before His Highness could state the nature of His need, Lord Charric van der Vliet made a request for the King's Justice.  Lord Charric stated that he had unfinished business with Prince Rurik, and presented Him with a shield, which was a tourney prize His Highness had won several years ago.  After Charrick had withdrawn, His Highness requested the assistance of several officers of the Kingdom, to help on a matter of research.   He then left the assembled Court with these officers in tow.

Gavin Campbell was inducted into the Order of the Golden Alce for his skill with glave.  No scroll was present.

Ludwig von Strassburg was made a Companion of the Golden Alce for excellence in heavy weapons combat.  No scroll was present.

Thorgrim Skullsplitter was inducted into the Order of the Golden Alce for his accomplishments with heavy weapons fighting.  No scroll was present.

Ethan Stewart was inducted into the Order of the Keystone and awarded arms for his service as retainer.  Scroll by Lady Hrefna in heppna Thorgrimsdottir.

His Royal Highness Rurik returned to the Royal Presence and laid His claim to the Throne of AEthelmearc before the assembled Court.  His claim was validated by Baroness Juliana Richenda Trevain, Kingdom Seneschal; Sir Christopher Rawlyns, AEthelmearc Earl Marshal; and Master Edmund Tregelles, Silver Buccle Principal Herald.  Their Majesties accepted His claim and asked for time to complete Their court.

Her Majesty dismissed her guard with thanks and gratitude.

Their Majesties dismissed Their champions, with a request to continue to serve Their Heirs.

Their Majesties dismissed Their Royal Household, with thanks and gratitude.

 Her Majesty expressed Her gratitude at having had the opportunity to serve the Kingdom over the past year.  She then knelt before His Majesty, who removed the Crown of Athelmearc from Her head.

His Majesty James took the Crown from His head and Crowned Rurik the eleventh King of AEthelmearc.

Thus did the Court and the Reign of James and Elina II come to an end.

At a small court done earlier in the day in the Royalty Room, Their Majesties James and Elina II did the following business:

Isabeau Elisabette de l'Isle was inducted into the Order of the Cornelian in abesentia.  No scroll was present.

Donald Harefoot was made a companion of the Order of the Keystone in absentia.   A scroll was present, but this herald did not get to record the name of its creator.

The Court of Their Majesties was closed.
