Being the report for the Final Court of Their Royal Majesties Rurik and Elspeth, King and Queen of Æthelmearc.  Court held April 5th, AS 37 (2003) in Their Shire of Hunter's Home at the Coronation of Their Heirs, Christopher and Maurya. Edmund Tregelles, reporting herald, with the assistance of THLady Giulietta da Venezia.

Pleasance de Coignieres was made a Companion of the Sycamore in absentia for her accomplishments in the scribal arts.  Scroll by Lady Una de Saint Luc and THLady Roberta McMorland.

Aibell Suil-uaine was awarded arms for her work as waterbearer extraordinaire, support of the fighting community of the Kingdom, and her pleasant nature. No scroll was present.

Sophie of Davenport was awarded arms for her work in the scribal arts and costuming.   No scroll was present.

Daniel O'Rian the Fletcher was made the principal companion of the Order of Distinction for Youth Arts and Sciences activities (tentatively to be titled the Order of the Silver Sycamore) for his promotion of period games and puppetry.   Scroll by Maitresse Yvianne.

Remus Fletcher was inducted into the Order of the Fleur d'Æthelmearc for his accomplishments in instrumental music.  Scroll by Lord Æryck Blackheart.

Griffin of Hunter's Home was awarded arms for his work as porter, guard, and serving feast, as well as his cooperative demeanor.  No scroll was present.

 Their Majesties called forth the following to award them Sigils: Lord Alric of the Mists, Baroness Angelique Chastellain de Beauvais, Baron Tarquinius Turnbull, Lord Bradawc Turnbull, Lord Connor Morrison, Lord Dun Carin, Dame Catelin Parry, Lord Ludwig von Strassburg, Lord Hrothgar of St. Swithin's Bog (fka Lord Gavin Campbell), Lady Gwyneth McClellan, THLord Valentine Raphael de Peregoy, Lady Illadore de Bedagrayne, and Don Quinn Kerr.  Scrolls by THLady Roberta McMorland.

 Edmund Tregelles, much to his surprise, was brought to the other side of the thrones and granted an augmentation of arms for his work as Principal Herald and dedication to the Kingdom.  Scroll by Lady Mea the Bold and Lady Sophie of Davenport.

Their Majesties called forth Their Champions and dismissed them with thanks, asking that they serve Their Heirs.

Her Majesty summoned Lord Ludwig von Strassburg, Captain of Her Guard; the Highland Guard; and the remainder of the Queen's Guard, and asked them to retire, with Her gratitude for excellent service.

Baron Tarquinius Turnbull and Baroness Angelique Chastellain de Beauvais were dismissed from service as head retainers, with high praise and thanks.

Their Majesties addressed the assembled populace and expressed Their joy at having had the opportunity to serve the Kingdom in the capacity of Sovereign, as well as Their thanks for the support and love shown Them over the past year.

 Their Majesties invited Their Heirs, Christopher and Maurya, Prince and Princess of AEthelmearc into Their presence.

His Majesty spoke of the importance of the continuation of the Sylvan Line, and that the just and proper time had arrived to transfer the Kingdom to Their Highnesses.

With those words, He divested Her Majesty of the crown, as well as Himself.   New crowns were brought forth and displayed before the Court.  He then crowned Christopher of York the Twelfth King of AEthelmearc.

Thus did the Court and Reign of Rurik and Elspeth come to an end.
