His Majesty invited the Most Noble Order of the Chivalry into His Presence.  Earlier that day, He had commanded them to give good counsel to a gentle, that he might return before His Majesty in the right frame of mind to answer the question put to him the week before.  The Order having fulfilled His Majesty’s wishes, and being satisfied with their answers, His Majesty summoned THLord Graedwyn mab Teyrnon before Him.  He asked whether Graedwyn would accept the accolade of Knighthood; Graedwyn answered thrice that, if His Majesty would have him, he would be a Knight.  His Majesty then heard the counsel of His Excellency, Master Will Langdon of Greymorne; Sir Maghnus de Cnoc an Iora; Her Excellency, Mistress Genevieve du Vent Argent and Sir Magariki Katsuichi no Koredono.  His Majesty received further words from His Excellency, Leonard the Younger, whose sworn man Graedwyn had been for some thirty-two years, and from Lord Duncan Blackwater, sword brother of Graedwyn’s own House Normandy.  His Majesty being well pleased with all He had heard, he invested Graedwyn with the accoutrements of Knighthood, and had them explained to the populace by Sir Reinhardt von Berchtesgaden; His Excellency, Sir Rurik Longsword; His Excellency, Sir Tristen Sexwulf and Sir Mord Hrutsson; His Majesty Himself asked that Graedwyn never again approach the Throne of Æthelmearc without his sword by his side.  His Majesty then dubbed Graedwyn a Knight of the Society, and received his Oath of Fealty.  Scroll in progress by Lord Gordon of Westover.

His Majesty noted that He had not imposed any taxes upon the populace.  This day, in the twilight of His Reign, he asked that everyone donate one hour of service to the Kingdom, and to imagine all that we, as a Kingdom, can accomplish if everyone pays his or her tax.

The Court of His Majesty was closed.
