Being the Report of the Court of Their Royal Majesties, Malcolm and Tessa, King and Queen of Æthelmearc.  Court held on May 7, AS 40 (2005) at Will’s Revenge in Their Shire of Abhainn Ciach Ghlais.  Giulietta da Venezia, Reporting Herald, with the assistance of Lord Egill the Dane.

Their Majesties invited Brocc Huntington into Their Presence, with a view toward ascertaining whether he had complied with the Royal Directive issued last week.  As Brocc was not present, Their Majesties were frustrated in Their inquiries.  They renewed Their Directive that Brocc should present himself before Them at his earliest convenience.

Aimeric de Miraval was awarded arms for his skill at music, dance, cooking and theatre, as well as for his teaching and writing of articles.  Scroll by THLady George Anne, upon a text by His Excellency, Sir Ogami Akira.

Their Majesties named Halldorr Baldr Fintanson, Lord Lochlainn mac Faolain Bhain and Lord Augusto Giuseppe di San Donato as Members of Her Majesty’s Guard.

Their Majesties invited Lady Rowan l’Crotha and the Compagnie of the Primrose into Their Presence.  They spoke fondly of the young ladies of the Compagnie, and invited them to choose gifts in recognition of the good work they are doing.

Rowan l’Crotha was made a Companion of the Keystone for her good work with the Compagnie of the Primrose as well as for her service as chatelaine and at demonstrations.  Scroll by Lady Isolda filia Georgii.

Alienor Russeal was made a Companion of the Millrind for her generous and helpful nature and for her service to the scribal community, particularly for serving as Editor of “Pigments of the Imagination,” the Æthelmearc scribal newsletter.

Egill the Dane was made a Companion of the Millrind and granted arms for his many years of service as herald and seneschal, and for his courteous and helpful nature.  Scroll by Master Jonathan Blaecstan.

Their Majesties asked Lady Rhenna de An t’Eilean Dubh, sixteenth Jewel of Æthelmearc, to attend Them.  They presented her one of the garnet stones cut by the hand of Master Jean Paul and intended as a remembrance for the Jewels of AEthelmearc.

Their Majesties called Master Charles of Alden before Them, and thanked him for his service as Æthelmearc Thrown Weapons Champion.  They then named Lord Constantine of Clan Black Hart the new Æthelmearc Thrown Weapons Champion, and invested him with the regalia of his new station, including new regalia made by the hand of THLady Meredith the Maskmaker.

Their Majesties called THLord Cétach Fitzgibbon before Them, and thanked him for his service as Æthelmearc Archery Champion.  They then named Lord Tronose Modoc the new Æthelmearc Archery Champion, and invested him with the regalia of his new station, including a new tabard made by the hand of Mistress Aleea Bagah.

Wladyslaw Poznanski was made a Companion of the Cornelian for his exemplary courtesy, particularly when fetching, carrying, and setting up pavilions.  Scroll scrivened by Lady Mea the Bold and limned by Aleyd von Kiel.

Robert MacMahon was made a Companion of the Keystone for his service to others, especially in bearing burdens not his own, and helping wherever he is needed.  Scroll scrivened by Lady Alicia Langland, limning and text by Lady Rowan l’Crotha.

Their Majesties proclaimed that, by mutual agreement of Themselves and Their Majesties of the East, THLady Gwendolyn the Graceful is henceforth an Æthelmearc citizen, entitled to all the rights, privileges, and responsibilities appertaining thereto.

Their Majesties invited the children present into Their Presence, and presented them gifts.

Their Majesties invited those attending their first event into Their Presence, and presented them gifts.

Their Majesties invited those gentles who had not been able to attend Coronation to receive a favor from Her Majesty’s hand.  While favors were distributed, the assembled populace enjoyed several madrigals performed by the ensemble Black Tie.

Their Majesties noted that They wished to recognize the efforts of several gentles toiling in the kitchen; thus, they suspended Their Court, to be reconvened within the hour in the Feast Hall.
