Being
the Report of the Court of Their Royal Majesties, Malcolm and Tessa,
King and
Queen of Æthelmearc, with Their Sylvan Highnesses, Robin and
Isabeau, Prince
and Princess of Æthelmearc and Her Majesty, Morwynna, Queen of
Lochac in
attendance. Court held on August 17, AS
40 (2005) at the Great Pennsic War XXXIV in Their Barony-Marche of the
Debatable Lands.

Their Majesties called forth Don Ian Muir, called Keyard, and asked if
there
were gentles who would speak on his behalf.
Their Majesties heard the words of Mistress Rhiannon the
Curious, Her
Grace, Meirwen uerch Owein, His Grace, Sir Morguhn Sheridan, and Her
Excellency, Mistress Sybil Cairnfalcon.
Their Majesties, being pleased with all they had heard, asked to
be
attended by the Companions of the Most Noble Order of the Laurel. Their Majesties asked Don Ian if he would
accept the accolade being offered, whereupon Ian answered in the
affirmative
and returned Their Majesties’ apple to Them.
Their Majesties received Don Ian’s Oath of Fealty, whereupon His
Grace,
Sir Rurik Longsword appeared to deliver the words of Sir Jefferey
Fitzgalen of
the East Kingdom, Don Ian’s knight.
Having been given leave to do so by his knight, Don Ian then
cast off
the red doublet he had worn as a squire.
Their Majesties then created Don Ian Muir, called Keyard, a
Companion of
the Most Noble Order of the Laurel and invested him with the medallion
and
cloak symbolizing his new station, assisted by THLady Dyan of Caledonia. Scroll by Dona Sasha Gray upon a text by Don

Their Majesties summoned His Excellency, Quinn Kerr, into Their
Presence. They asked if there any who
would speak
about Quinn’s nobility, and did hear the words of Her Excellency, Dame
Vivienne
Marie de Beauvais, Her Grace, Mistress Dorinda Courtenay, Master
Brendan
Brisbane, and His Grace, Sir Rurik Longsword.
Being very well pleased with all they had heard, Their Majesties
did ask
His Excellency whether he would accept the accolade being offered; His
Excellency responded in the affirmative.
Their Majesties received Quinn’s Oath of Fealty, created him a
Companion
of the Most Noble Order of the Laurel, and invested him with a
medallion
(presented by Her Grace, Mistress Dorinda Courtenay) and Cloak
appropriate to his
new station, assisted by Lady Brynn Kerr.
His Excellency then resumed his duty to protect and defend his
Baroness
and Barony of St. Swithin’s Bog, taking back his Baronial Coronet and
Chain of
State from His Excellency, Sir Alonzio of the Peacemakers. He relieved His Grace, Sir Rurik Longsword of
the duty of protecting Quinn’s cadets, and took back his spear. Finally, he relieved Don Lodowick of Grays
Inn of the duty of protecting the swordmen of Æthelmearc, and
resumed his White
Scarf. Scroll in form of a rapier
