Being the Report of the Court of Their Royal Majesties, Malcolm and Tessa, King and Queen of Æthelmearc.  Court held on September 24, AS 40 (2005) at the Coronation of Robin and Isabeau in Their Barony of Thescorre.  Giulietta da Venezia, Reporting Herald, with the assistance of His Excellency, Master Fridrikr Tomasson av Knusslig Hamn.

Nivah Catherine Rose of Bannockburn was given a Sigil of Æthelmearc in absentia for her help with gift baskets, marshal tabards, making scroll blanks, and especially for her exceptional job in coordinating and setting up for the Kingdom party at Pennsic.  Scroll limned by Lady Renata the Posh Rot and scrivened by an unknown scribe.

Anlaith ingen Trena was made a Companion of the Keystone in absentia for her service as a scribe and maker of award medallions, as well as for her help with Kingdom projects.  Scroll by Her Excellency, Mistress Arianna of Wynthrope.

Ailleann inghen Proinnsias was given a Sigil of Æthelmearc for her help at events and with Kingdom projects, including running errands and making certain Their Majesties have things They need, such as escarbuncle trim.  Scroll scrivened by THLady George Anne and limned by THLady Keran Roslin.

Bataar Sogdo was given a Sigil of Æthelmearc for his service as Her Majesty’s guard, at events, for his help with Kingdom projects, and particularly for his magical ability to make things appear, disappear, pack and unpack.  Scroll scrivened by Lady Anlaith ingen Trena and limned by THLady Anna Eisenkopf.

Aleea Bagah was given a Sigil of Æthelmearc in absentia for her help during Their Majesties’ Reign, particularly with sewing projects including baldrics, tabards and Her Majesty’s heraldic sideless surcoat for Her Coronation.  Scroll scrivened by THLady George Anne and limned by THLady Keran Roslin.

Fintan na Coilled was given a Sigil of Æthelmearc in absentia for his help with Kingdom projects, particularly the benches for the Royal Encampment at Pennsic.  Scroll by Her Excellency, Mistress Aidan ni Leir.

Graidhne ni Ruaidh was given a Sigil of Æthelmearc for her help with Kingdom projects, creating scrolls, and giving good advice.  Scroll by Lady Anlaith ingen Trena.

Anna Dillon was made a Companion of the Keystone for her service as a youth marshal, and for helping young fighters to make armor.  Scroll to be forthcoming.

His Excellency, Oeric Lestrange, Baron of Delftwood accepted the scroll commemorating Finnoughla McGill’s award of arms (given earlier in the Reign), and graciously agreed to convey it to her later in the day.

Their Majesties called forth the Captain of Her Majesty’s Guard, THLady Anna Eisenkopf, and praised her for the devotion she had shown to Them during Their Reign, fetching and carrying, setting up their accoutrements, delivering thrones, sewing far into the night, handpainting thank you cards, painting tabards, and so much more.  In appreciation of all her efforts, They created Anna a Baroness of Their Court.  Scroll scrivened by Lord Deryk Balthasar Symmonds and limned by Sybella of Dragonsmark of the Middle Kingdom.

Brandubh O’Donnghaile was given a Sigil of Æthelmearc in absentia for his hard work on kingdom projects, including making benches for the Royal Encampment at Pennsic, and putting up and taking down the Kingdom gate.  Scroll scrivened by Her Excellency, Dame Margaret Makafee and limned by THLady Keran Roslin.

Elisabeth Johanna von der Flossenburg was given a Sigil of Æthelmearc for her regular appearance disguised as a pile of clothing with legs, and for ensuring that Their Majesties were dressed appropriately to Their station.  Scroll by Her Excellency, Dame Margaret Makafee.

Illish O’Donovan of Cork was given a Sigil of Æthelmearc for her service during Their Majesties’ Reign, particularly for her help coordinating the Royal Encampment at Pennsic and making new sheetwalls.  Scroll by Lady Anlaith ingen Trena.

Karana Yabokchi was given a Sigil of Æthelmearc for her help at events, especially making certain that Their Majesties had food and drink at Pennsic.  Scroll scrivened by Her Excellency, Dame Margaret Makafee, drawn and limned by Kiaya.

Edmund Dracatorr was made a Companion of the Millrind for his service to the Kingdom in its formative years, including being part of the committee that drafted its first Rules and Laws.  Scroll to be forthcoming.

Quinn Kerr was given a Sigil of Æthelmearc in absentia for his help and service in training the Æthelmearc rapier army.  Scroll to be forthcoming.

Aibell Sull-Uaine, called Suilean, was made a Companion of the Sycamore in absentia for her skill in and dedication to the art of illumination.  Scroll to be forthcoming.

THLord Caleb Reynolds, representative of the Rhydderich Hael Brewers’ Guild, presented Their Majesties a case of ale made especially for Them by the Guild.

Her Majesty announced that it is Her wish to add the following noble hounds to the Sylvan Pack:  Valkyrie (hound of Katla Ulfhethinn and Thorgrim Skullsplitter), Emma (hound of Elina Einarsdottir), Sam (hound of Pavla de la Satu Mare) and Maximus (hound of Esa Baird and Thomas Lestrange).

Their Majesties asked that Maddelena de Angeles attend Them.  They spoke warmly of her service in looking after Their daughter Katherine, the Princess Royal, and of the peace of mind They have knowing that the one most near and dear to Their hearts is safe and in the care of loving hands.  In appreciation of Maddelena’s good heart and generous spirit, they created her a Baroness of Their Court, and granted her arms.  Scroll by Her Excellency, Ekaterina Volkova.

Their Majesties began to close Their Court, only to have His Highness, Robin, step forward to remind Them that one piece of business remained to be done.  His Majesty stated that Robin was His right and true Heir, whereupon THLady Marguerite de la Marche (Deputy Seneschal for Region 4), Sir Finn Marland O’Shannon (for the Marshallate), and Baroness Giulietta da Venezia (Silver Buccle Herald) affirmed that all of the particulars of Kingdom Law had been satisfied with respect to the choice of a successor King.

Their Majesties addressed the assembled populace, noted that the Royal Household is small in number, and that the success of Their Reign was due to the efforts of the People of the Kingdom of Æthelmearc.  They thanked the populace for its help and support throughout the Reign, and gave Their wishes for the prosperity of the people during the coming time of peace.

His Majesty then spoke to Her Majesty, Tessa of Her service and inspiration, and thanked Her for standing by Him as His Queen.  He then divested Her Majesty of the Crown, and she retired from the hall to the acclaim of the assembled populace.

His Majesty divested Himself of the Crown and addressed His Highness, Robin.  He reminded Robin that the Crown of Æthelmearc embodies the hopes, desires and aspirations of her People, and that he was placing all of that in Robin’s capable hands.  He then crowned Robin the Seventeenth King of Æthelmearc.

Thus did the Court and Reign of Malcolm and Tessa come to an end.
