Being
the Report of the Court of Their Royal Majesties, Robin and Isabeau,
King and
Queen of Æthelmearc. Court held on
October 1, AS 40 (2005) at Harvest Raid XII in Their Shire of Herontir.

Mistress Alicia Langland made a Populace Service Announcement inviting
one and
all to the upcoming Æthelmearc Academy, to be held on October
15th. She also asked that any gentles
willing to
teach classes at the Academy should please contact her, as class times
and
spaces are still available.
Their Majesties invited His Grace, Sir Morguhn Sheridan, Champion of
Æthelmearc, into Their Presence and thanked him for his service. They then asked his help in investing his
successor, Lord Magnus Tyndal, as the new Champion of Æthelmearc. Scroll scrivened by Her Excellency, Mistress

Their Majesties invited Maestro Jacopo di Niccolo into Their Presence,
and
asked him to announce the results of Their Archery Championship. Maestro Jacopo proclaimed THLord Caleb
Reynolds the new Archery Champion of Æthelmearc, and assisted
Their Majesties
in investing Caleb with the regalia of his station, whereupon Their
Majesties
thanked Lord Tronose Modoc for his service as their outgoing Archery

Their Majesties invited Lord Constantine of Clan Blackhart, Thrown
Weapons
Champion of Æthelmearc, into Their Presence, and thanked him for

service. They then named Robert
l’Etourdi the new Thrown Weapons Champion of Æthelmearc, and
asked Lord
Constantine’s assistance in investing him with the regalia of his

Annabella McCray was awarded arms in absentia for her service as
chronicler and

Catherine Sheffield was awarded arms for her hospitality and service to
the

Errolle Ferdnan d’Courte d’Leone de Pyrenees was awarded arms for his
general
helpfulness, and especially for his service at events.

Malcolm Fraser the Impatient was made a Companion of the Keystone for
his skill
at building gates and other structures.

THLord Caleb Reynolds announced the results of his Royal Round
Challenge: among the non-marshals, Lady
Muirgel ingen
Gilla Comgaill threw the highest number of axes, and THLord Augusto
Giuseppe di
San Donato was the marshal who threw the highest number of axes. Scrolls scrivened by Lady Isolda filia

Maestro Jacopo di Niccolo proclaimed that two subjects of
Æthelmearc had
attained the rank of Grandmaster Bowman:
Giovanni di Lupo and Lady Muirghein Gealbhain.
They were each presented a medallion in commemoration of their
achievement.
Sabina de Lyons was made a Companion of the Golden Alce for her prowess
upon
the archery range. Scroll by Lady
Kathryn de Lyon de Savoie, upon a text by Her Excellency, Una de Saint
Luc.
Her Grace, Dorinda Courtenay and THLady Marguerite de la Marche
announced the
winners of the day’s tournaments and competitions, and presented prizes
and
scrolls to the winners as follows:
Lord Ivan Piotrovic Pevcov was named the winner of the day’s Rapier
Competition. Scroll by Lady Emma Idunn
and Her Grace, Anna Blackleaf.
The winners of the George Silverware Tourney (a rapier melee), in which
each
member of the three-person teams had to portray either a knife (cut
only), a
fork (thrust only) or a spoon (dagger and buckler) were named: Lord Ivan Piotrovic Pevcov (knife), Her
Excellency, Juliana Rosalia Dolce di Siena (fork), and Lord Charles de
Cayeux
(spoon). Each received a prize
appropriate to his or her role in the melee.
Lady Muirghein Gealbhain was declared the winner of the Archery
Competition.
THLord Valgardr Gunnarsson was declared the winner of the Arts and
Sciences
Competition.
The victors of the heavy weapons melee were announced:
Team Beef, led by Sir Magariki Katsuichi no
Koredono had proven victorious.
Sir Malcolm MacEoghainn was named the victor of the day’s Kingdom
Championship
tourney.
Master Charles of Alden proved victorious in the day’s Thrown Weapons
Tournament.
Their Majesties asked both Her Grace, Dorinda and THLady Marguerite to
remain. Addressing THLady Marguerite,
Their Majesties spoke of her willingness to serve as Regional Deputy
Seneschal,
event autocrat, Castellan for their Reign, and general problem solver. In recognition of her nobility and her
generous nature, They then created Marguerite Louise de la Marche a
Baroness of
Their Court. Scroll in form of an

Yasmina;
baronial coronet by Master Kenhelm the Deceptive.
Their Majesties then noted that some time ago, Her Grace, Dorinda had
been
asked to take a particular position which she had ultimately not
undertaken. After calling forth the
Companions of the Most Noble Order of the Laurel, Their Majesties asked
Her
Grace, Dorinda Courtenay to return to them at Æthelmearc Twelfth
Night after
receiving counsel upon the matter, and answer once again the question
whether
she would accept elevation to the Most Noble Order of the Laurel. Writ scrivened by Her Grace, Anna Blackleaf
