Canton of Beau Fleuve
Being
the Report of the Court of Their Royal Majesties, Robin and Isabeau,
King and Queen of Æthelmearc, with Their Highnesses, Malcolm and
Tessa, Prince and Princess of Æthelmearc and Their Excellencies,
Will and Katherine, Baron and Baroness of the Rhydderich Hael in
attendance. Court
held on January 7, AS 40 (2006) at Æthelmearc Twelfth Night in
Their Canton of Beau Fleuve. Giulietta da Venezia, Reporting Herald, with
the assistance of Lord Stephen Calvert deGrey.
Their
Majesties gave Their Excellencies leave to hold their Baronial Court.
Their
Majesties welcomed Her Excellency, Mistress Graidhne ni Ruaidh,
Chancellor Minor of the Kingdom of Æthelmearc into Their Presence
and witnessed the transfer of her office to her successor, Lady Sara de
Lindley. Their Majesties released Mistress
Graidhne from her duties, and received Lady Sara’s Oath of Fealty.
Their
Majesties welcomed Her Excellency, Mistress Miriam Meggett, Chronicler
of the Kingdom of Æthelmearc into Their Presence and witnessed
the transfer of her office to her successor, Her Excellency, Teresa
Gabriella de Montoya y Sevilla. Their
Majesties released Mistress Miriam from her duties, and received Dona
Teresa’s Oath of Fealty.
Their
Majesties invited THLady Jenna MacPherson of the Lion’s Tower and Sir
Sextus Plinius Callidus into Their Presence. They
then announced the results of the day’s youth tournament:
Ian MacLachlan proved victorious among the Division 1
combatants, and was presented his prize. Julian
of Thescorre was the victor among the Division 3 combatants, and was
duly invested as Their Majesties’ Youth Champion.

Faerhaga was also recognized as the Division 3 runner-up, and was
presented his prize.
Clewin
Kupferhelbelinc was awarded arms for his service and dedication to the

von Katzenellenbogen was awarded arms for her skill at fencing, archery
and tablet weaving, and for her service to the Barony-Marche of the

Minamoto
Taikawa Saiaiko was awarded arms for her research of and skill in
Japanese arts and architecture, and for her service to the scribal
community in maintaining its website. Scroll

Kellie
of the Silver Horde was awarded arms for her tireless service in the

Muireinn
ingen Tipraite meic Cormaic was awarded arms for her many hours of
service as tollner at events. Scroll

Veronica
of Herontir was awarded arms for her many hours of tireless service
behind the scenes at events and demonstrations. Scroll

Juliana
Rosalia Dolce da Siena was made a Companion of the Golden Alce for her
prowess at rapier combat. Scroll by

Muirgel
ingen Gilla Comgaill was made a Companion of the Golden Alce for her
prowess upon the thrown weapons and archery ranges.
Two scrolls were present: the
first, by Lady Adelheidis Spatauf; the second, scrivened by Her
Excellency, Gillian Llewellyn of Ravenspur and limned by THLord Caleb
Reynolds.
Her
Excellency, Katherine Kiersey was made a Companion of the Cornelian for
her exemplary courtesy. Scroll

Lady Aibell Sull-uaine, called Suilean.
Date
Saburou Yukiie was made a Companion of the Fleur d’Æthelmearc and
granted arms for his research of and skill in
Japanese arts, especially in creating clothing and archery equipment. Scroll in the form of a Japanese legal

Their
Majesties spoke of the nature of the Jewel of Æthelmearc, and of
a moment of clarity They had experienced which led them to make Their
choice. Their Majesties then called forth
His Excellency, Master Fridrikr Tomasson av Knusslig Hamn, and asked
his assistance in creating Their servant, Giulietta da Venezia the
Twentieth Jewel of Æthelmearc, to her complete and utter

de Castel d’Avignon, upon a most amusing text by Lord Finn Folhare and
His Excellency, Master Fridrikr Tomasson av Knusslig Hamn,
entertainingly performed by Baron Fridrikr upon tunes by Sir Arthur
Sullivan. The Ancestral Medallion made by
His Excellency, Master Lugh the Black was presented by Sir Christopher
Rawlyns, Nineteenth Jewel of Æthelmearc.
Their
Majesties called forth the Most Noble Order of the Pelican, and asked
whether they had counseled a particular gentle, as directed earlier. As the Order had done as Their Majesties
requested, and had agreed that this gentle should be among their
number, Their Majesties invited Her Grace, Mistress Anna Blackleaf into
Their Presence. Upon hearing the words of
Her Excellency, Mistress Liadain ni Dheirdre Caomhanaigh; Her
Excellency, Mistress Geirny Thorgrimsdottir; Sir Ængus MacBain; and Her Grace, Mistress Dorinda Courtenay,
Their Majesties agreed that Duchess Anna was indeed worthy, and did
create her a Companion of the Most Noble Order of the Pelican. Duchess Anna was then invested with a cloak
and the Ancestral Medallion of the Pelicans of Æthelmearc,
presented by Sir Sextus Plinius Callidus. Her
Excellency, Mistress Ts’vee’a bas Tseepora Levi presented
Duchess
Anna a personal medallion, which had been a gift to Mistress Ts’vee’a
from the hand of Her Excellency, Mistress Michaele del Vaga. Scroll by Her Grace, Mistress Dorinda

Their
Majesties invited the Most Noble Order of the Laurel into Their
Presence, and asked whether it was indeed their wish to have a certain
gentle among their number. Upon receiving
a most enthusiastic response from the Order, Their Majesties invited
Her Grace, Mistress Dorinda Courtenay, into Their Presence. Escorted by her son, Quinn of Herontir,
Duchess Dorinda presented herself before Their Majesties.
After hearing the words of Master Brendan Brisbane; Her Grace,
Mistress Anna Blackleaf;. Mistress Alicia Langland; and Her Excellency,
Mistress Arianna of Wynthrope (delivered by Her Excellency, Mistress
Ts’vee’a bas Tseepora Levi), Their Majesties created Duchess Dorinda a
Companion of the Most Noble Order of the Laurel. Their
Majesties invested her with a medallion, mantle and wreath appropriate
to her new station, and received the affirmation of her Oath of Fealty. Scroll in the form of a Book of Hours by His

Their
Majesties announced that They had further business with the Most Noble
Order of the Laurel, as They had received a message in a bottle
concerning one of Their subjects. Their
Majesties then invited His Excellency, Rian Gortyryan into Their
Presence, whereupon They directed that he present himself before Them
at the Festival of the Passing of the Ice Dragon, where he might sit
vigil and contemplate his elevation to said Order.
