Being
the Report of the Court of Their Royal Majesties, Robin and Isabeau,
King and Queen of AEthelmearc, with His Highness, Malcolm, Prince of
AEthelmearc and Their Excellencies, Will and Catherine, Baron and
Baroness of the Rhydderich Hael in attendance. Court held on
March 18, AS 40 (2006) at the Festival of the Passing of the Ice Dragon
in Their Barony of the Rhydderich Hael. Giulietta da
Venezia, Reporting Herald, with the assistance of THLady Matilda
Bosvyle de Belle Aqua.
Their Majesties gave Their Excellencies leave to hold their Baronial
Court.
Their Majesties asked Sir Khalek Shuurag Od to attend Them, whereupon
They presented Khalek the scroll commemorating his Knighthood.

Branwen ferch Gwythyr was made a Companion of the Cornelian for her

Their Majesties asked Her Excellency, Meisterin Elisabeth Johanna von
der Flossenburg to attend Them, whereupon They named her Master Tailor
to the Crown of AEthelmearc. Scroll by Her Excellency, Ekaterina

Finn Folhare was made a Companion of the Keystone in absentia for his
service to his Kingdom and Shire, and to the heraldic community as

Dynahara de Montcroya was made a Companion of the Keystone for her many
years of service to her Kingdom and Barony, most particularly as cook

Morwenna Everdon was made a Companion of the Sycamore for her skill in
the art of illumination. Scroll scrivened by THLord Aindreas mac
Ghille Fhionntaigh a' Ghaoithe Airgid and limned by Lady Lara Sukhadrev.
Mairghread ui Stilbhard uu Coinn was made a Companion of the Sycamore
in absentia for her skill in cooking and the scribal arts. Scroll

Kazi Nocni Vanek Enkazi was made a Companion of the Sycamore in
absentia for her skill in horn carving, storytelling and the bardic

Brion Enkazi was made a Companion of the Fleur d'AEthelmearc for his
skill at storytelling and the bardic arts. Scroll by Her

Victor of Shrewsbury was made a Companion of the Millrind and granted
arms for his service to AEthelmearc, the Shire of Abhainn Ciach Ghlais,

Iago Benitez was made a Companion of the Millrind for his service to
his Barony and to the fencing community. Scroll by Don Bastiano

Their Majesties asked that the Companions of the Most Noble Order of
the Laurel attend Them. They inquired whether the Order had
counseled a candidate that day, as directed, whether said candidate was
acceptable, and whether it was the Order's wish to have said candidate
among them. Having received affirmative answers to all of Their
queries, Their Majesties asked that His Excellency, Rian Gortyroyan
present himself before Them. As he had been directed by Their
Majesties at AEthelmearc Twelfth Night, Baron Rian brought gifts of
things dark and tasty to Their Majesties. Having sampled Their
gifts and being delighted with them, Their Majesties inquired whether
Rian would accept elevation to the Most Noble Order of the Laurel; Rian
agreed. Their Majesties heard words of praise from His
Excellency, Master Tofi Kerthjalfadsson; His Excellency, Maestro Daniel
del Cavallo; His Excellency, Master Cyneric Dracaheorte; His
Excellency, Sir Yngvar the Dismal; and Her Excellency, Caryl
Olesdatter, whereupon Their Majesties pronounced Rian most worthy
indeed. They directed that Rian be arrayed in regalia appropriate
to his new station; a cloak, made by the hand of Her Excellency,
Mistress Sibyl Cairnfalcon and presented by Mistress Sibyl and Her
Excellency, Jennet the Gentle; a medallion from the hand of His
Excellency, Maestro Daniel del Cavallo, and a wreath made by Captain
John Michael Thorpe. They then created Rian Gortyroyan a
Companion of the Laurel, granted him arms by letters patent, and
received his Oath of Fealty. Scroll by Dona Alexandra Gray,

The winners of the day's backlog scroll competition were
announced: Best Heraldic Display, S. Lovechild; Best New Scribe,
Juliana Delamere; Best Calligraphy. Marija Kotok; Oldest Scroll,
Viscountess Akiley du Remier, from A.S. 27. Her Majesty then drew
the day's prizewinners: Her Grace, Mistress Anna Blackleaf won
the week at Pennsic, and Lady Marija Kotok won a year's
membership. Their Majesties thanked all of the scribes who
participated in the competition.
The autocrats of War Practice announced that online preregistration
would be available soon, along with payment by credit card.
Gentles interested in online preregistration were asked to consult the
Kingdom webpage for information, soon to be forthcoming.
