Their Majesties called forth their retainers, thanked them for their dedication during the Reign, and released them from Their service.

Her Majesty called forth Her guard, thanked them for their diligence and dedication during the Reign, and released them from Her service.

A herald appeared bearing urgent news of an army bearing the banner of the Dragon, massing upon the Kingdom's southern borders.

Another herald appeared bearing news of a host of mercenaries making their way across lands of the Middle Kingdom, with a view toward besieging our Fair Kingdom from the West.

His Highness, Malcolm, asked that He be permitted to take up the burden of defending the Realm against these foreign invaders, so that the memory of Their Majesties' Reign might remain as one untouched by the fires of battle.  His Majesty inquired by what right His Highness asserted his claim.

Her Excellency, Marguerite de la Marche, Seneschal of AEthelmearc, attested that, on the 7th day of October in His Shire of Hartstone, Sir Malcolm did fight that day for the honor of his lady wife Tessa, and had duly won the right to wear the Crown of AEthelmearc.

Sir Magariki Katsuichi no Koredono, Earl Marshal of AEthelmearc, attested that a tournament had indeed been held to determine the true and rightful Heir to the Throne, and that the undisputed winner was Sir Malcolm, who by right of arms is the Crown Prince of AEthelmearc.

His Highness then stated his claim to the Throne, claiming it by the same right that Richard of Mont Royal invoked at the birth of our Society, that Yngvar the Dismal invoked at the birth of our Nation, and that His Majesty Himself invoked in His time.

His Majesty received His Highness' Oath, given to Their Majesties and the populace of AEthelmearc, in which He promised to uphold the laws and customs of the Realm, to cause justice to be administered rightly, impartially and wisely in compassion and truth, and to defend and strengthen the just laws and customs of the Realm to the honor of Sylvan AEthelmearc.

His Majesty spoke fondly to His Queen, Isabeau, thanked her for her service to the Realm, removed the Crown from Her head, and placed it upon Her Throne.  His Majesty then crowned Malcolm eighteenth King of AEthelmearc.

Thus did the Court and Reign of Robin and Isabeau come to an end.
