Shire of Sunderoak
Being the Report of the Court of Their
Royal Majesties, Malcolm and Tessa, King and Queen of Æthelmearc
with Her Excellency, Tatyana, Baroness of the Debatable Lands; Their
Excellencies, Cedric and Peregrine, Baron and Baroness of Thescorre;
Their Excellencies, Will and Katherine, Baron and Baroness of the
Rhydderich Hael; His Excellency, Oeric, Baron of Delftwood; His
Excellency, Robert, Baron of the Endless Hills, and Their Excellencies,
Quinn and Vivienne, Baron and Baroness of St. Swithin's Bog in
attendance. Court held on April 22, AS 40 (2006) at Their
Coronation in Their Shire of Sunderoak. Giulietta da
Venezia, Reporting Herald, with the assistance of Her Excellency,
Margaret Makafee.
Their Majesties invested Lady Fredeburg von Katzenellenbogen, Lord
Clewin Kupferhelbelinc and Lord Thorvaaldr Frirsverth as members of Her
Majesty's Guard.
His Majesty invited Don Christian Amaury de Launey into Their Presence,
whereupon He praised his dedication to the art of defense. He
asked Don Christian to stand with Him and protect His person in combat;
having received Don Christian's assent, He invested him as the first
King's Royal Æthelmearc Lancer, and presented him a lance with
which to carry out his charge.
Lady Rosalia Iuliana Andere received the scroll commemorating her Award
of Arms, bestowed earlier in the day by Their Majesties, Robin and

Renata Rouge, called the Posh Rot was made a Companion of the Sycamore
for her skill in calligraphy and illumination. Scroll scrivened
by Lady Isolda filia Georgii and limned by Lady Morwenna Everdon.
Megan the Mad was awarded arms for her service to the fencing
community. Scroll scrivened by Her Excellency, Graidhne ni Ruaidh
and limned by Lady Leah of Newcastle.
Arabella McGrath was made a Companion of the Keystone for her service
as Chatelaine for the Barony-Marche of the Debatable Lands.

Their Majesties invited Master Bedwyr Danwyn into Their Presence.
After some verbal jousting with members of Her Majesty's Guard, Master
Bedwyr was permitted to approach Their Majesties bearing a handgonne,
which he presented to His Majesty. Master Bedwyr noted that it
takes a lot of balls to fire such a weapon, whereupon he gave His
Majesty an additional gift of 100 balls cast by his hand.
Finally, Master Bedwyr noted that, should His Majesty exhaust His
supply of balls, it would be Master Bedwyr's pleasure to replenish them
for Him.
Katla Ulfhedinn was made a Companion of the Sycamore for her skill in
scribal arts and hound coursing, and for promoting both arts throughout

Their Majesties invited Her Excellency, Sara Charmaine of Falkensee
into Their Presence, and remarked upon the lovely clothing she was
wearing. They noted that although They had words of praise for
Her Excellency and her skill with the needle, They would prefer to have
the assistance of others in proclaiming them. They then invited
the Companions of the Most Noble Order of the Laurel into Their
Presence, whereupon They caused a Writ of Privy Seal to be served upon
Her Excellency, directing her to take counsel of herself and said
Order, and to present herself before Them upon the anniversary of the
Founding of the Barony of St. Swithin's Bog this coming July, there to
answer yea or nay whether she will accept elevation to the Most Noble

Runa Thorgrimsdottir was made a Companion of the Silver Buccle for her
service in minding younger gentles, fetching and carrying for others,

Representatives of the Shire of Sunderoak presented gifts to Their
Majesties, and welcomed Them to the Shire.
Geoffrey de Montgomeri was made a Companion of the Keystone for his
helpfulness at events, and for his service as Herald for the Shire of

Their Majesties invited Finn into Their Presence, and named him Their

Their Majesties invited Annanias Fenne into Their Presence, and named
him the Queen's Rapier Champion. He was invested with the
Champion's Regalia by his predecessor, Lord Ivan Piotrovic

Their Majesties announced that the three finalists in the Sylvan Bard
Competition, Lady Cicilia Corsini, Lord Corwyn ap Nennius, and Lord
Morgan of Caer Graeme would perform at the evening feast, after which
They would choose one of them as Their Bard.
Their Majesties and the Companions of the Most Noble Order of the
Pelican thanked the Autocrats and their staff for their service above
and beyond the call of duty in readying a beautiful space for the
Order's meeting.
His Majesty addressed the assembled populace, and thanked everyone for
helping to make the day especially splendid. Her Majesty noted
that a good lady had provided favors in the form of pouches, which Her
Majesty would distribute at the end of Court to everyone in attendance.
