Shire of Misty Highlands
Being the Report of the Court of Their
Royal Majesties, Malcolm and Tessa, King and Queen of Æthelmearc
with Their Sylvan Highnesses, Christopher and Morgen in
attendance. Court held on May 13, AS 41 (2006) at Spring Crown
Tournament in Their Shire of Misty Highlands. Giulietta da
Venezia, Reporting Herald, with the assistance of Pomestnitsa Arkhelaia
Vsevolozha.
Their Majesties invested Ragnar Gunnulfsson as a member of Her
Majesty's guard.
Their Majesties proclaimed that Irina Astrachovna is now a Subject of
the Kingdom of Æthelmearc.
Their Majesties received the Oath of Fealty of His Excellency, Jehan de
la Marche.
Juliana Delamere was made a Companion of the Sycamore for her
excellence in embroidery, costuming and tablet weaving. Scroll by

Petr Kotok was awarded arms for his service at events, particularly to
the scribal community. Scroll by Lady Marija Kotok.
Their Majesties presented gifts to the youth present for the day's
festivities.
Annanias Fenne was made a Companion of the Keystone for his service as
autocrat, rapier marshal and Seneschal for the Shire of Misty

Their Majesties thanked Maestro Jacopo di Niccolo for his many years of
service to Crown and Kingdom as Captain General of Archers, and
graciously allowed him to retire. They then invested his
successor, Lord Lochlainn mac Faolain Bhain as the new Captain General
of Archers for the Kingdom of Æthelmearc. Lord Lochlainn
announced an Arrow Pledge to begin at War Practice, whereupon numerous
archers led by Maestro Jacopo proclaimed their intent to make their
pledges immediately. Seeing no need to delay such good
intentions, Their Majesties and Lord Lochlainn accepted the proffered
arrows.
Fiachna ni Tuaighe Mac Cennetig was awarded arms for his service as
Castellan for the Shire of Misty Highlands and for his service at
events, particularly in setting up thrown weapons ranges. Scroll

Georgii.
Rouland of Willowbrooke was made a Companion of the Silver Alce for his
prowess upon the field of youth combat. Scroll scrivened by Her
Grace, Anna Blackleaf and limned by THLady Mea the Bold.
Their Majesties asked the Ladies of the Rose and of the Garnet to
attend Them. They inquired of the Ladies whether They had chosen
an individual to bear the Shield of Chivalry; the Ladies indicated that
that singular honor should go to Sir AEngus MacBain. Their
Majesties then called forth Lord Thomas von Hessen, thanked him for his
service as the previous Bearer of the Shield of Chivalry, and permitted
him to retire. They then invested Sir AEngus MacBain with the
Shield of Chivalry, and bid him take his rightful place in Their Court.
Rota Egilsdottir was made a Companion of the Sycamore for her
excellence in illumination and embroidery. Scroll scrivened by

Ragnar Gunnolfsson was awarded arms for his assistance at events,
running errands, washing dishes, and generally helping all those in

Their Majesties presented gifts to those gentles attending an event for
the first time.
Hildegardis quae et Berthegund was awarded arms for her skill in making
chainmail, and for her willingness to teach others the art of chainmail

Their Majesties asked THLord Valgardr Gunnarsson to attend Them.
They spoke of his exemplary skill in tablet weaving, and of Their
admiration for his work. Finding that words failed Them, Their
Majesties asked that the Companions of the Most Noble Order of the
Laurel attend Them. They then directed that Valgardr should
present himself before Them at a date in the future to be determined,
after having taken counsel of himself and the Order, to answer whether
he will accept elevation to said Order as a Companion thereof.
