Shire of Coppertree


Being the Report of the Court of His Majesty, Malcolm, King of  Æthelmearc.  Court held June 17, AS 41 (2006) at Jugglers, Tumblers, and Bards III in His Shire of Coppertree.  Lord Christopher Harper,  herald.

His Majesty requested the presence of George Anne, Regional 5  Seneschal and gave her leave to speak.  George Anne announced that  the Incipient Shire of Wynterset, having fulfilled all requirements,  was elevated to full Shire status. The populace of the Shire of  Wynterset was welcomed to Court with many gracious and inspiring  words from His Majesty. The Shire presented His Majesty with a  portrait of Himself, done by the hand of Christiana Harbinjer, the Shire Seneschal. The populace of Wynterset thanked the Shire of  Coppertree for its sponsorship, patience and support.

His Majesty called forth His Champion of Æthelmearc and divested him  of the office with much thanks. There having been a tournament held  earlier in the day, His Majesty announced that the victor of the  tournament was His Grace Morghun Sheridan. To fill The Honorable Lord  Magnus Tindal’s place, His Majesty called forth the new Champion of  Æthelmearc, Isenwulf Thorolfssone, and invested him with the regalia  and position.  The Champion’s scroll is the work of Lady Etain ingen  Dalaig and THLord Magnus Tindal

His Majesty was attended by His Grace Morghun Sheridan, autocrat and  Tangwystyl ferch Gwyn, bardocrat.  His Grace thanked everyone for  attending and Tangwystyl offered her thanks to those who taught classes.

Viscount Haakon Oaktall who was named a Royal Patron of the Bardic  Arts for his volume of work and for his previous and continuing  encouragement of the bardic arts in Æthelmearc.  Scroll by THLady  George Anne.

THLady Rowena ni Dhonnchaidh presented the Kingdom with a handsome  sunshade.

George Anne (again) was inducted into the Order of the Fleur  d’Æthelmearc for her research on diverse aspects of medieval life,  including, but not limited to, privies.  The scroll is the work of  Baroness Ekaterina Volkova.

In recognition of her prowess in rapier combat, His Majesty created  Alessandra Bentivegna da Faenza, called Yasmina, a Lancer of Æthelmearc.

Helene al-Zarqa was inducted into the Order of the Sycamore for her  skills as a bard. She was recognized for her performance, her  compositions and her willingness to teach others.  Scroll scrivened  by THLady George Anne and limned by THLady Keran Roslin.

His Majesty called forth the Honorable Lord Duncan von Halstern, the  Honorable Lord Havoc the Wild, Her Grace, Rowan de la Garnisson, and  His Excellency, Robin Wallace.  His Majesty offered kind words for  their martial prowess and recognized them as Champions of the  Kingdom. He gave each of them a ring as a token and asked that they stand ready to answer his call.

His Grace Morghun Sheridan was called forth and, with the consent of  those members of the Order of the Pelican present, was presented with  a writ for elevation to the order, the date and event to be  determined mutually between himself and the Crown.

The court of His Majesty was closed.

His Majesty called the cooks out of the kitchen and offered His  thanks to the autocrat, bardocrat and especially the cooks for a  wonderful event and a fine meal.
