Their Majesties' Royal Challenge
Incipient Shire of Gryffin's Keep
Being the Report of the Court of Their
Majesties, Malcolm and Tessa, King and Queen of Æthelmearc,
with Their Highnesses, Christopher and Morgen, Prince and
Princess of Æthelmearc in attendance. Court held June
24, AS 41 (2006) at Their Majesties' Royal Challenge in Their
Incipient Shire of Gryffin's Keep. Giulietta da Venezia,
Reporting Herald, with the assistance of THLord Cadell Blaidd Du,
Lord Morgan of Caer Graeme, and Lady Rowan Blackthorne, Silent
Herald.
Representatives of the Incipient Shire of Gryffin's Keep presented
gifts to Their Majesties and Their Highnesses.
Lady Zoe Akropolitina proclaimed that Daniel O'Rian the Fletcher
had proven victorious in the day's Youth Tournament, and
presented his prizes--a roll of duct tape and a sewing kit.
Lady Zoe then distributed golden coins of chocolate to all of the
young gentles who had taken part in the day's tournament.
Their Majesties invited His Excellency, Alonzio of the
Peacemakers and Sir Finn Marland O'Shannon to attend Them, and
spoke warmly of their deeds upon the field of battle. They
then recognized Sir Alonzio and Sir Finn as Champions of the
Kingdom, gave each of them a ring in token of their station, and
asked that they stand for the Kingdom in the upcoming Champions
Battle at the Great Pennsic War.
Charles de Cayeux was made a Companion of the Sycamore for his
skill in performing upon the recorder and the lute. Scroll

Donnchadh Dubhglas was made a Companion of the Golden Alce in
absentia for his prowess in heavy weapons combat, and also for
armoring new gentles and teaching them the arts martial.

Thomas Lestrange was made a Companion of the Keystone for his
service to his Barony and Kingdom, particularly as event steward,

Esa Baird was made a Companion of the Keystone for her service to
her Barony and Kingdom as Minister of Lists, deputy
Houndmistress, scribe, and guard. Scroll by Maestra Lia di

Victoria figlia di Tomasia was made a Companion of the Silver
Buccle for her service in many Kingdom kitchens, helping to feed

Graedwyn mab Teyrnon was made a Companion of the Keystone for his
many years of service to his Barony and its martial community,
particularly in teaching and inspiring new gentles. Scroll

Their Majesties gave gifts to the young gentles present for the
day's festivities.
Kieran MacRae was made a Companion of the Cornelian for his

Ariella of Thornbury was made a Companion of the Golden Alce for

his generous service in Kingdom kitchens too numerous to
enumerate, always ensuring that the hungry populace was fed above

Their Majesties gave gifts to those gentles attending their very
first event.
Morgan of Caer Graeme was made a Companion of the Keystone for
his service to his Kingdom and Shire, particularly as Herald
