Barony of St. Swithin's Bog
Being the Report of the Court of Their
Majesties, Christopher and Morgen, King and Queen of
Æthelmearc, with Their Highnesses, Rurik and Angelik,
Prince and Princess of Æthelmearc and Their Excellencies,
Quinn and Vivienne, Baron and Baroness of St. Swithin's Bog in
attendance. Court held October 14, AS 41 (2006) at Crown
Tournament in Their Barony of St. Swithin's Bog. Giulietta
da Venezia, Reporting Herald, with the assistance of Lady
Caitilin ni Mhaolconaire and Lady Sara de Lindley, Silent Herald.
Kelda ferch Ystwyth was made a Companion of the Keystone for her
many years of quiet, behind-the-scenes service. Scroll by

Their Majesties invited His Excellency, Barak Elandris Bear the
Wallsbane, Deputy Seneschal for New Groups, into Their Presence.
Syr Bear asked that the members of the Incipient Canton of
Westland Mor present themselves before Their Majesties, whereupon
he noted that the group had fulfilled all of the requirements
necessary to become a full Canton. Their Majesties
expressed their pleasure at the industry and enthusiasm of the
group, and proclaimed the Canton of Westland Mor no longer
incipient. The Canton of Westland Mor then presented gifts
to Their Majesties, Their Highnesses, and Their Excellencies.
Catrijn van der Heyde was awarded arms for her service as
Seneschal of the Canton of Westland Mor during its formative
period, and for her creation of a pictorial archive of images

Vidarr Hrafnsson was awarded arms in absentia for his service at
events, and for his photographic documentation of many events and
vigils. Scroll scrivened by THLady Antoinette de la Croix and
limned by Lady Sarra Moore.
Zuiryu no Ariyajoti was awarded arms in absentia for his prowess
at rapier and heavy weapons combat. Scroll scrivened by
THLady Antoinette de la Croix, upon a text by Don Corwin
Montgomery.
Their Majesties invited the Ladies of the Rose and of the Garnet
to attend Them. The Ladies noted that they were most
pleased with the chivalrous conduct of all of the combatants in
the day's Tournament, but that one had truly distinguished
herself upon the field. They then recommended that Their
Majesties ask Lady Ariella of Thornbury to bear the Shield of
Chivalry. Their Majesties agreed with the Ladies'
recommendation, and Lady Ariella stated that she would be most
honored to serve, whereupon Sir Aengus MacBain invested Lady
Ariella with the Shield of Chivalry, and graciously retired.
Her Excellency, Judith of Kirtland, noted that there was another
gentle whom the Ladies wished to recognize. The Ladies noted
that Lady Sara de Lindley had served throughout the day so that
those whose hearing is not so acute might gain greater pleasure
and understanding of the day's events. Their Majesties
agreed with the Ladies' recommendation, and presented Lady Sara
Their personal token in appreciation of her gracious service.
Brynn Kerr was made a Companion of the Keystone in absentia for
her many years of quiet, behind-the-scenes service. Scroll

Emilia Madigan Beniter was made a Companion of the Keystone for
her service in many kitchens, and for assisting Their
Excellencies as a retainer. Scroll to be forthcoming.
Alric of the Mists was made a Companion of the Keystone for his
service as Seneschal of St. Swithin's Bog, and for his many years
of fetching, carrying, setting up, tearing down, loading,
unloading, and never allowing any gentle to tote any object when
he was available to do so. Carved horn and poem by Lady

Their Majesties asked Her Excellency, Una de Saint Luc to attend
Them. They thanked her for her service as Sylvan Signet, and
asked her successor, THLady Antoinette de la Croix to present
herself. Antoinette stated her willingness to take on the
Office of Sylvan Signet, whereupon Their Majesties transferred
the duties and responsibilities of the Office to her.
Lodowick of Grays Inn was made a Companion of the Millrind for
his many years of service as autocrat, event helper, fencing

Their Majesties asked Dona Illadore de Bedegrayne to attend Them,
then presented the scroll created to commemorate her elevation to
the Order of the White Scarf. Scroll scrivened by THLord

Their Majesties asked that everyone stand and reflect for a
moment upon the life and accomplishments of Sine ni Morag of
Thescorre, who has gone from our midst to the Blessed Isles.
