Æthelmearc Twelfth Night
Shire of Hartstone
Being the Report of the Court of Their
Majesties, Christopher and Morgen, King and Queen of
Æthelmearc, with His Highness, Rurik, Prince of
Æthelmearc in attendance. Court held on 13 January AS
41 (2007), at Æthelmearc Twelfth Night in Their Shire of
Hartstone. Baron Fridrikr Tomasson av Knusslig Hamn,
reporting herald, with the assistance of THLady Matilda Bosvyle
de Belle Aqua.
Their Majesties noted the service of Master Remus Fletcher as
Kingdom Minister of Arts and Sciences and named Meisterin
Elisabeth Johanna von der Flossenburg as the new Minister of Arts
and Sciences.
Their Majesties noted the service of Lord Alaxandair O'Conchobhair
as Kingdom Webminister and named Master Valgardr Gunnasson as the
new Kingdom Webminister
Their Majesties noted the service of Baroness Gillian Llewelyn of
Ravenspur as Kingdom Chatelaine and named Lady Rowan L'Crotha as
the new Kingdom Chatelaine.
Lord Tigernach of Endless Hills presented TRM with a generous
donation to the Kingdom Travel Fund
Their Majesties and His Highness, Prince Rurik, invited Lady
Renata Rouge, Seneschal of Hartstone into court. Lady
Renata thanked many fine gentles who worked in the preparations
for the day. She cited in particular one gentle, Luke, who
did many and varied tasks. His Highness invited young Luke,
age 2 and one half, into court and made him a present of a fine
shield and body armor, and Her Majesty presented him with a fine
toy. After a brief discussion of the lack of a sword in
Luke's fighting kit, court continued.
Their Majesties announced that due to the generosity of the kind
folk of Æthelmearc, over 350 toys had been collected for
Toys for Tots.
Their Majesties thanked the Kingdom Bards who unfortunately could
not attend, and called upon Gwendolyn the Graceful, Brehyres to
announce the outcome of the Kingdom Bards' competition.
Eight good and talented gentles competed. Their Majesties
then named THLord Dagonell Collingwood of Emerald Lake as Kingdom
Bard and invested him with the regalia of his office.
Their Majesties invited Dancetty Horsechaser of Rainbow Briteland
(aka Alexandra Caithnes) and Andrew Caithnes into court.
They congratulated them both on their service to the Equestrian
Community and to the theatrical enterprise at Pennsic, and
awarded each of them arms. Scrolls by Her Excellency, Aidan

Their Majesties invited the members of Cave Canem into court and
presented the troupe with the Order of the Sycamore. Scroll

anonymous scribe.
Their Majesties invited Lady Portia de Sancto Lucianno into court
and created her a Companion of the Keystone for her excellent
service to her local group and her Kingdom, most especially to

Their Majesties invited Lord Thorgrim Skullsplitter into court,
and created him a Companion of the Keystone in absentia.

Their Majesties invited Lady Marci of Hadley into court and noted
the excellence of her research into the Norse arts and
culture. They then invited the Noble Order of the Fleur
d'Æthelmearc into court, created Lady Marci a Companion
thereof to the great acclaim of the Order, and granted her

Their Majesties invited Lord Victor of Shrewsbury into court and
noted his excellent research into science of herbalism and
cooking and elevated him to the Order of the Fleur
d'AEthelmearc. Scroll by Mistress Kris Gilibari.
Their Majesties invited Gwendolyn the Graceful, Brehyres into
court and noted her great service to the Kingdom through the
Bardic College of Æthelmearc. They then invited the
Noble Order of the Millrind into court and elevated Her
Excellency to the Order to the great acclaim of the Companions

Their Majesties invited Dona Illadore de Bedagrayne into Their
court. They noted her long and distinguished service to the
Barony- Marche of the Debatable Lands and the College of Cour d'Or and
to the fencing community and elevated her to the Noble Order of
the Millrind. After she was greeted by the order, THLady
Illadore was summoned again. Their Majesties noted her
excellent service during Their reign and previous reigns and
gifted her with the title and dignity of a Baroness of the

Their Majesties invited the Most Noble Order of the Pelican into
Their court. They inquired of the Order whether they had spoken
with the two candidates for elevation and were assured that the
Order had done so. Their Majesties then invited the
candidates into their court.
Their Majesties summoned Mistress Rhiannon y Bwa into Their
Court. Mistress Rhiannon entered to the harmony of fine
horns and wearing her personal crest atop her "very nice
hat". She agreed to Their Majesties' offer of
elevation. Her Excellency, Katja Davidova Orlova Khazarina
spoke kind words of the joy of service. Mistress Rhiannon
was then elevated to the estate of the Most Noble Order of the

Their Majesties invited Dame Alicia Langland into court. She
noted that THLord Gilles de Beauchamp had been her protege for
several years and had recently equalled her in his skill and
level of service. She therefore requested that THLord
Gilles be released from her service and return his belt.
Their Majesties then summoned THLord Giles Beacham (aka Gilles de
Beauchamp) into Their court. He came in to the accompaniment of
a lovely song written and performed by his lady, Rhenna de An
t'Eilean Dubh. Their Majesties then called upon Her Grace,
Dorinda Courtenay; Master Gille MacDhonuill; Sir Sextus Plinius
Callidus and His Excellency, Edmund Lambert of Tregelles,
who spoke many kind words concerning His Lordship. Having
heard these words and agreeing with them, Their Majesties
elevated His Lordship to the Most Noble Order of the Pelican and
granted him arms by letters patent. Scroll by Her Grace,

Their Majesties commanded the presence of Dame Alicia Langland
who stood accused of violation of contract in her dealings with
one of her apprentices. Dame Alicia tearfully pled her
case, but a jury of her peers (being the Most Noble of the
Laurel) decided her guilt and asked Their Majesties to pronounce
a punishment (other than manacles). Their Majesties then
called forth the aggreived party, THLady Alienor Russeal, and bid
her to consider her further independence from the grievous
clutches of Dame Alicia. Their Majesties then presented Her
Ladyship with a writ directing her to consider elevation to the
Most Noble Order of the Laurel and to return to Their Majesties'
court at the College of Three Ravens in the Barony of Thescorre
on 24 February, there to give her answer. Scroll by Sir
