Court Reports of the Kingdom of
AEthelmearc
Christopher and Morgen
February 17, AS 41 (2007)
Feast of the Seven Deadly Sins
Barony of Delftwood
Being the Report of the Court of Her
Majesty, Morgen, Queen of
Æthelmearc, with His Excellency, Oeric, Baron of Delftwood
in attendance. Court held on February 7, AS 41 (2007), at
the Feast of the Seven Deadly Sins in Her Barony of
Delftwood. Giulietta da Venezia, Reporting Herald.
Her Majesty gave His Excellency leave to hold his Baronial Court.
Her Majesty invited His Excellency, Oeric, Baron of Delftwood
into Her Presence, whereupon His Excellency stated his intention
to retire as Baron, that he might attend to certain rather
pressing domestic matters requiring his attention. Her
Majesty agreed that His Excellency had earned a well-deserved
rest, thanked him for his service as Baron, divested him of his
Baronial Coronet, and released him from his Oath of Fealty.
His Excellency then skipped quite merrily from the Royal
Presence.
Her Majesty, being not quite finished with His Excellency,
recalled him and remarked upon his good and faithful service to
the Crown and the populace of Delftwood as its Baron, and in
recognition thereof created him a Baron of Her Court.

Her Majesty noted that the Barony of Delftwood was left without a
Baron or Baroness, and determined to seek a remedy. She asked
Her Excellency, Caryl Olesdatter to attend Her, and made inquiry
as to the Baronial Succession. Her Excellency, Caryl,
confirmed that a Baronial Election had been duly held, that all
the requirements of Kingdom Law and Baronial Policy had been
observed, that all of the i's had been dotted, and the t's
crossed, and that successors to His Excellency, Oeric, were in
fact awaiting Her Majesty's summons at the rear of the
hall. Her Majesty thanked Her Excellency for her good
service, and for bringing these glad tidings to the Royal ear.
Her Majesty asked Lord Artemius Andreas Magnus and Clarice Roan
to attend Her. She asked whether they were willing and able
to accept the responsibility of serving the Barony of Delftwood
as its Baron and Baroness; upon receiving their assent, she
invested them with the Delftwood Baronial Coronets, created them
Baron and Baroness of Delftwood, and received their Oath of
Fealty. Her Majesty then presented Artemius and Clarice,
new Baron and Baroness of Delftwood, to the assembled populace,
who welcomed them with great acclaim and much rejoicing.
The Court of Her Majesty was closed.
