Shire of  Sterlynge Vayle


Being the Report of the Court of Their Majesties, Rurik and Angelik,  King and Queen of Æthelmearc, with Their Highnesses, Duncan and  Ilish, Prince and Princess of Æthelmearc, His Excellency, Ulrich,  Baron of the Endless Hills, and Their Excellencies, Artemius and  Clarice, Baron and Baroness of Delftwood in attendance.  Court held  on May 5, AS 42 (2007), at Crown Tournament in Their Shire of  Sterlynge Vayle.  Giulietta da Venezia, Reporting Herald with the  assistance of Lord Malcolum fiz Willem and THLady Matilda Bosvyle de  Belle Aqua.

The Shire of Sterlynge Vayle presented a quilt depicting Her Majesty  to Their Majesties, being the work of THLady George Anne.

Felicity Flussmullnerin was awarded arms for her enthusiastic service  to her Kingdom as well as the Barony of Delftwood.  Scroll by Lady  Renata Rouge, called the Posh Rot.

Friedrich Flussmullner was awarded arms for his dedicated service to  the Kingdom and the Barony of Delftwood. Scroll by Lady Renata Rouge,  called the Posh Rot.

Dennis Ralff, the Finland Serf was awarded arms for his years of  dedicated service to the Barony of Delftwood and his Kingdom. Scroll  by Her Excellency, Geirny Thorgrimsdottir.

Gabriella Pietrosanti was awarded arms for her dedicated service at  many events, most particularly for her service as tollner.  Scroll  scrivened by Her Excellency, Margaret Makafee and limned by Lady  Aibell Suil-uaine, called Suilean.

Bianca Sadie was made a Companion of the Keystone for her selfless  service as cook and chatelaine, ensuring that the populace is both  well-fed and comfortable.  Scroll scrivened by His Excellency, Edmund  Tregelles and limned by Lady Aibell Suil-uaine, called Suilean.

Kayley O'Connor was made a Companion of the Keystone for her service  to the Shire of Sterlynge Vayle, particularly as its exchequer.   Scroll scrivened by Her Excellency, Margaret Makafee and limned by  lady Aibell Suil-uaine, called Suilean.

Robert O'Connor, also known as Bob the Herald was made a Companion of  the Keystone for his service to the Shire of Sterlyinge Vayle as  herald and autocrat of their Bards and Bows event.  Scroll scrivened  by His Excellency, Edmund Tregelles and limned by Lady Aibell Suil- uaine, called Suilean.

Amy of the Endless Hills was awarded arms for her service to and  support of the Barony of Endless Hills.  Scroll by Lady Siobhan of  House Thorgard, upon a text by Signora Niccola di Cristiano.

Deianeira Argante o Annwfn was made a Companion of the Sycamore for  teaching many others about Amazon women.  Scroll scrivened by His  Excellency, Edmund Tregelles and limned by Lady Morwenna Everdon.

Septimus Severius Salvatoriensis Caecus was awarded arms for his  skill in researching Roman history.  Their Majesties, noting Caecus'  most excellent appearance, then created him a Companion of the  Sycamore for his study of Roman life and art.  Both scrolls by THLady  Gianna di Aurelio.

Their Majesties summoned the former Silver Buccle Heralds of the  Kingdom of Æthelmearc before Them, then asked Baronessa Giulietta da  Venezia to join them.  Her Excellency noted that it had been her  privilege and pleasure to serve Their Majesties and Their illustrious  Predecessors for the past four years, but that the time had come for  other hands to serve.  Their Majesties then called forth THLady  Matilda Bosvyle de Belle Aqua, and with the help of the former Silver  Buccle Heralds, released Giulietta from her oath of fealty, received  Matilda's Oath of Fealty, and invested her with the regalia  appropriate to her new Office.  Giulietta presented Matilda gifts to  help ease her service--the magic salts given her by Master Edmund  Tregelles, a box of magical tablets calculated to soothe an aching  head, and an amber escarbuncle medallion, that she may bear the  Escarbuncle of our Kingdom close to her heart.  Master Edmund  Tregelles presented Giulietta with a box of Life, symbolic of her  passage from public to private life.  Giulietta then retired along  with the rest of the Brotherhood of Old Buccles, Silver while Matilda  assumed her rightful place as Their Majesties' herald.

Wishing to encourage the creation of more Companions of the Silver  Buccle, Master Brion Donall Gilbert presented a gift of ten silver  buccles to Their Majesties.

Their Majesties called forth the Ladies of the Rose and of the  Garnet, and asked them to name one combatant who would bear the  Shield of Chivalry. The Ladies chose His Excellency, Vladisla  Nikulich to bear the shield, which was graciously presented by Lady  Ariella of Thornbury, his predecessor.  The Ladies also called Their  Majesties' attention to two other gentles who had distinguished  themselves this day:  Lord Olafr Thorvardharson, who had fought the  day's bye fights, and Lord Thomas Byron of Haverford, who had proven  himself both chivalrous and deadly in the lists.

That evening, after all had dined most sumptuously, His Majesty  sallied forth into the kitchens of the Keep and brought out one James  of the Vayle.  Meeting Her Majesty before the High Table, His Majesty  declared himself well pleased with James' efforts, and Their  Majesties awarded him arms.  Wishing to further recognize James'  skill in the culinary arts, Their Majesties then did create James of  the Vayle a Compaion of the Sycamore.  Armiger scroll scrivened by  Isabella Ignazius Montoya and limned by Lady Ismay Ponde, upon a text  by His Excellency, Jehan de la Marche.  Sycamore scroll scrivened by  Isabella Ignazius Montoya and limned by Lady Bridget de Kyrkland.

The Court of Their Majesties was closed.
