Court Report of Their Royal Majesties Rurik and Angelik from War Practice 18, held May 19th, A.S. 42, in the Canton of Steltonwald, in the presence of Their Highnesses Duncan and Ilish and His Majesty of the Middle Kingdom, Dag; as reported by THL Matilda Bosvyle de Bela Acqua with the assistance of THL Brandubh O'Donnghailes and Baroness Olivia D'Anjou.

 

The Barony Marche of the Debatable Lands Baronial Investiture will be held at the AEthelmearc 10 Year Celebration on June 16 th .  

 

Master Remus Fletcher thanked all of the participants of the Artisan Forum who displayed their works. Though not a competition, the talents of one artist , Lady Juliana Delamere were recognized with a token of a lovely hand bound leather book that was made and donated by Mistress Cassadoria Finialla , Lady Protector of AEthelmearc.

 

Signora Tomasia de Collivento presented Their Royal Majesties with a gift of cookies from Master Huen Damebrygge, called Hogge, Royal Baker to the Court of AEthelmearc. She then thanked the participants of the day's Wooden Pin Competition and announced that the winner was Lady Bronwyn MacFhionghuin.

 

THL Katerina Ty Isaf and the people of Endless Hills, presented the Kingdom with a gift of the completed banners of the past Kings and Queens of AEthelmearc's personal arms. They assured Their Royal Majesties that the project would continue through future reigns. His Majesty assured them, that these banners would be displayed with great pride.

 

THL Robert Marsden, Kingdom Chirugeon came before Their Royal Majesties, promised to serve AEthelmearc for another year and swore his fealty as an officer of the Kingdom.

 

Count Sir Jehan de la Marche swore his fealty, most eloquently, in both Latin and the "vulgar" tongue.

 

Lord Charles de Cayeux stepped forth to praise the prowess of those who fought in the morning's accolade fencing tournament where Don Annaias Fenne was declared the winner. (scroll calig: Clemente de Warrewyk , illum: S.Lovechild )

 

THL Caleb Reynolds, as his final act as Kingdom Archery Champion, announced the winners of the Winter Archery Challenge. Scrolls and prizes were awarded to: Raicheal of Sterlynge Vale, best youth archer at 20 yards; Connor Bowsplitter, best archer with a recurve; Andreas Schmidt for most scores; Brandubh O'Donnghailes, best with a crossbow; Edward Harbinger for highest combined score; and Sara of the Debatable Lands as best novice archer.

His Lordship then resigned as Champion returning the regalia to Their Royal Majesties. THL Cetech Fitzgibbon was called forth and having agreed to serve as new Kingdom Archery Champion, was invested with the regalia and joined Their Majesties retinue.

 

Their Majesties called for Their Thrown Weapons Champion THL Augusto Guiseppe da San Donoto, who addressed the populous and explained that a new Champion had been chosen from among the participants in that day's Thrown Weapons Tournament. THL Aquila d' Athos was the victor and was then invited to join Their Majesties retinue.

 

The Thrown Weapons Kingdom Marshal, THL Caleb Reynolds, came forth and asked to be released from his office. He assured Their Majesties that his successor Lord Alexander O'Conchobhair was a trustworthy man. Their Majesties then accepted Lord Alexander 's oath as a Kingdom Officer.

 

Pavel Dudoladov, was invited into court, where upon Their Royal Majesties noted well his joy of singing and participation with the choir, for this They did Award him Arms.

 

Lady Fredeburg von Katzenellenbogen , the Kingdom Arts Champion, was created a Companion of the Sycamore for her woodblock prints and impressive hand sewn clothing. (scroll illum: Lady Aibell Suil-uaine, words: Matilda Bosvyle)

 

Lord Bran O'Labhradha , presented himself before TRM and was received into the Order of the Golden Alce for his fighting prowess and work as Knight Marshal of Gyrffin's Keep.

 

Baroness Clarice Roan , was commended for her exemplary service to her Barony, even going so far as to clean the hall floor, and was recognized as a Companion of the Keystone. (words: Jehan de la Marche )

 

Mistress Irene Von Schmetterling was invited into court and His Majesty remarked upon her skill as a teacher of historic combat and all things having to do with wool, spinning and dying. She was then created a member of the Order of the Sycamore. (scroll illum: Lady Aibell Suil-uaine, words: Matilda Bosvyle)

 

His Majesty Rurik called forth Baroness AElfra Long, Their Camp MOM, (which she explained stands for Mistress Of Mayhem) so that all present would know her. He commented as to how pleased They were with the work she had done, and how there were many others who knew well of her service to the Kingdom. Those Companions of the Most Noble Order of the Pelican were summoned by Their Majesties, and charged with counseling her Excellency as she contemplates elevation to their Order. Her response is to be given to Their Majesties at the Bog Three Day Event in The Barony of St. Swithen's Bog.

 

Their Royal Majesties thanked all those who had worked to put AEthelmearc War Practice together, and all of the populous who attended.
