Crown Tournament
Barony of Thescorre
Court report of TRM’s Duncan and
Ilish from Crown Tournament on October 6, A.S. 42 held in the Barony of
Thescorre in the presence of TRH’s Khelek and Branwyn, as reported by
THL Matilda Bosvyle de Bela Acqua, Silver Buccle, with the assistance
of THLPleasance de Coignieres and Lord Stephen Calvert deGrey.
Their Majesties called forth the Ladies of the Rose and Garnet, who had
closely observed the tournament. Her Excellency Countess Caryl bestowed
a token of recognition upon Layla the banner bearer, for her resolve
and fortitude in carrying out her duty during the deluge of rain. The
Ladies called upon Viscount Bear the Wallsbane to be Their Protector
and bear the Sheild of Chivalry, taking the place of Baron Vladisla
Nikulich. Her Excellency Countess Isabeau awarded a token, on behalf of
all, to Olafr Thorvardharson in recognition of his courtesy.
Mistress Brianna McBain swore fealty to Their Majesties, as a new
citizen of AEthelmearc, and before one and all, took as her apprentice
one Meadhbh of Clan McBain.
Gytha Oggesdohtor was Awarded Arms and created a Companion of the
Keystone for sewing, and teaching thrown weapons and dance (scroll by
Gillian Llwelyn).
Lady Wynn Ravenlocke received the Order of the Keystone for clothing
people and teaching (scroll by Lia de Padova).
Lady Helene al-Zarqa was made a Companion of the Keystone for her work
as chronicler, editor and event coordinator (scroll by Sophie
Davenport).
Lady Alina Marie de Valenciennes received a Keystone for her
outstanding work as Thescorre exchequer (scroll by Ekaterina Volkova
with illum by Bodica Ravenhair).
Lady Otelia d’Alsace was created a Companion of the Order of the
Keystone for her service as tollner, teacher and cook (scroll illum by
Mea the Bold, calig by Sophie Davenport).
Lady Juliana de Beaujeau was made a Companion of the Keystone for work
in the kitchen, at the tollner and for her support of the arts (scroll
illum by Mea the Bold, calig by Sophie Davenport).
Lord Carlo Gallucci received a Keystone for many and varied good works
including support of the arts (scroll illum by Mea the Bold, calig by
Sophie Davenport).
THLady Jenna MacPherson gifted Their Majesties with a Millrind
medallion (made by John Michael Thorpe) to mark the 10th anniversary of
the creation and her own induction into the Order.
Lord Gabriel Hawkes was called forth and recognized with a personal
token from Her Majesty for his service in guarding Her person
throughout the day. She also gave him a token to carry back to his
Knight, Count Henri d’Artois, as thanks for sending his man to her.
Baroness Una de Saint Luc and THL Alheydis von Korckhingen came
together before Their Majesties, as Baroness Una wished to offer
Alheydis an apprentice belt… to give to her first apprentice, as Una
felt it was time she received a wreath of Laurels. Much to Alheydis’s
surprise and disbelief, Their Majesties called upon Their most nobel
Order of the Laurel and questioned them as to whether they too believed
the time had come. A writ was issued commanding her to sit vigil and
receive the wise council of the Order at the Passing of the Ice Dragon
(scroll calig by Anna Blackleaf, illum by Arden Scot).
Their Majesties thanked the event staff and all present who made the
day so wonderful.
Court was closed.
