Baronial Investiture
Barony of the Rhydderich Hael
Court report of TRM’s Duncan and Ilish from Baronial
Coronation on December the 15th A.S. 42 held in the Rhydderich Hael in
the
presence of TRH’s Khalek and Branwen and Their Excellencies Baron
William and
Baroness Kiersey as reported by THL Matilda Bosvyle de Bela Acqua,
Silver
Buccle, with the assistance of Baron Fridrikr Tomasson av Knussig Hamn.
Morning Court.
TRM’s gave leave for Their Excellencies to hold Their last court.
Baron William and Baroness Kiersey of the Rhydderich Hael
were called before TRM’s, thanked for Their years of service to Their
Barony
and the Kingdom and divested of Their Baronial Coronets. Their
Majesties then
bestowed upon them the rank of Baron and Baroness of Their Court.
His Majesty noted that They could not leave Their border
lands unprotected. The former landed Barons and Baronesses of the
Rhydderich
Hael processed forth and TRM’s invited before Them the Baronial
Seneschal,
Baron William de Montgilt. He assured Their Majesties that a fair and
proper
election had been held and the people had chosen one individual to
represent
their interests.
THL Caleb Reynolds the Diligent was called before the Court.
TRM’s inquired if he would agree to accept the position and burdens of
caring
for Their land and people. He affirmed that he would, but requested
that he had
one small piece of business to attend to first. Master Connor
Bowsplitter was
called into court. Caleb held as how he could not serve two masters at
once and
returned his protégé belt to his Pelican. Connor promised
to keep it for him
until such time as he is no longer duty bound to the Crown. TRM’s then
placed
the Baronial Coronet upon his brow and accepted his oath of fealty.
TRM’s gave leave for His Excellency to hold His first court.
TRM’s called forth THLord Wulfgar of Northumbria and THL
Etta von Felsenstrand who had stood as 2nd Baron and
Baroness of the
Rhydderich Hael. His Majesty expressed his wish to correct a grievous
error
that had been made many years before by His Eastern ancestors and did
create
them Baron and Baroness of the Court.
Court was suspended.
Afternoon Court.
TRM’s called before Them Lady Ruadhri Clarsair known as Lady
Red. Her Majesty thanked her for the beautiful harp music she had
played
throughout Their Court and offered her a personal token.
Baron William and Baroness Kiersey were recalled before
Their Majesties and presented with Their Court Baronetcy scrolls
(illum. by
Morwenna Everdon, calig. Anna Blackleaf).
Edith Winterton was Awarded Arms for her dedication as
Mistress of the RH Cooks Guild, hard work and courtesy (scroll by Mary
Elizabeth Clayson).
THLord Constantine of Clan Blackhart was made Companion of
the Order of the Keystone for his service to the Thrown Weapons
community, and
in the kitchen (scroll by Mary Elizabeth Clayson).
Lady Isolda filia Georgii was created a Companion of the
Order of the Keystone for her many works as a behind the scene
organizer and
scribe. (Zen scroll by Fridrikr Tomasson).
Lady Magdalena Binder (Drucker) was inducted as a Companion
of the Order of the Keystone for her labors as autocrat, tollner and on
the
Thrown Weapons range (scroll by Gillian Llywelyn).
Lord Otfrid Ammerthaler was called before Their Majesties,
who told him that They had heard much praise for his many years of
capable
service and that there were some good gentles who wished to speak with
him.
TRM’s called for those members of the most noble Order of the Pelican
present
to enter. Lord Otfrid was much amazed, rose to his feet and looked as
if
exclaim that there must be an error. Their Majesties assured him that
it was
Their wish and that of Their Order and issued a Writ that he should
return to
Their presence at the Festival of the Passing of the Ice Dragon to sit
vigil in
contemplation of elevation to this esteemed Order.
Their Majesties expressed Their gratitude to the people of
the Rhydderich Hael for putting on such a fine event that was much
enjoyed by
all present.
Court was closed.
