Barony of Endless Hills

Court report of TRM’s Duncan and Ilish from AEthelmearc Kingdom 12th Night on January 12th, A.S. 42 held in the Barony of Endless Hills in the presence of TRH’s Khalek and Branwen, His Excellency Baron Ulrich Drachendonner and Their Excellencies of Thescorre and Delftwood, as reported by THL Matilda Bosvyle de Bela Acqua, Silver Buccle, with the assistance of THL Christopher Harper, Lady Anlaith ingen Trena and Lord Eirik Harrfager Goransson.

Morning Court

TRM’s called before Them Cael O’Connail and rewarded her service and model behavior with a Silver Buckle.

Serena Finn was given a Silver Sycamore for her efforts at cooking, jewelry and finger loop braiding (scroll by Barbary Rose).

Jock MacPherson was Awarded Arms in thanks for his generous nature and selfless service (scroll by Ysabeau Tiercelin).

Lancelot de Molay was Awarded Arms for his helpfulness and hard work.

Luminista the Oracle was Awarded Arms for service and organization of the annual toy drive (calig and words by Barbary Rose, illum by Failend O’Conail).

TRM’s invited into Their Court House Prydeskeep. Speaking on their behalf Duke Malcolm MacEoghainn and Duchess Tessa the Huntress presented 4 invitations to Their Majesties and Their Highnesses for the Amethyst Invitational Tourney to be held November 1st in the Barony Marche of the Debatable Lands, such that they may be used or distributed as They see fit.

Their Majesties then requested further words with Her Grace, Tessa. Noting the many fine things she has accomplished during her years in AEthelmearc, chief among which being the tremendous influence she has had on the development of Combat Archery, Their Majesties informed Her Grace that there were other gentles who wished to speak with her as well. They then called for those members of the most noble Order of the Pelican to come forward and escort her to a vigil room where she might contemplate her inclusion within their ranks and be counseled by their collective wisdom before the start of the evening court. 

Court was suspended.

 

Evening Court

His Majesty invited Their Royal Highnesses of the East, Konrad and Brenwen to join the court. They presented Him with gifts of friendship.

His Majesty called forth the Kingdom Chronicler, Baroness Teresa Gabriela de Montoya y Sevilla and accepted her oath of continued service to AEthelmearc.

It was announced that Their Majesties had chosen Baron Tristan Sexwulf as successor to the office of Earl Marshal, and that Don Donnan MacDubhshithe would take up the burdens of the Fencing Marshall’s office. The outgoing officers, Sir Magariki Katsuichi no Koredono and Don Iago Benitez were thanked for their many years of service.

Dame Aoife Finn was called before the court to announce the winners of the Arts competitions. Juliana Woolworth was named Queen of Tarts for her chicken tart. Reyni-Hrefna received a prize for best documentation of her entry. Ysabeau Tiercelin was the winner in the Late Period Clothing category and Barbary Rose won for Accessories.

Edward Bytheway was Awarded Arms (in absentia) for his many good works.

Gaeth Connmaigh was Awarded Arms for service to the people of his home group (scroll by Murdoch Bane).

Juliana Woolworth was Awarded Arms for her labors as cook, hostess and volunteer (scroll illum. Keran Roslin, calig. George Anne).

Lord Tufa die Munths was created a companion of the Order of the Keystone for his service as marshal, armorer, teacher and cook.

Lord Stefan Legas was named a member of the Order of the Keystone for his work with hound coursing and helpful service to all (scroll illum Keran Roslin, callig George Anne).

Lady Dawn de la Lune was awarded the Order of the Keystone for her unending service to several local offices.

Lord Taranach McLeod was created a companion of the Order of the Sycamore for his research of various areas of science including siege weaponry.

Lord Gregory Hillson was awarded the Order of the Keystone for his efforts behind the scenes.

Having tended to the Royal Princesses, Her Majesty, Queen Ilish, joined His Majesty and court continued.

The Company of St.Michael was called forth and thanked by Her Majesty for hosting the days Pas d’Armes Tournament. She presented them with a blank book to record their many deeds of chivalry.

Her Majesty requested the presence of those ladies who had participated in Her Hat contest and presented a token each to Baroness Clarice of Delftwood, Lady Juliana Woolworth and Lady Barbary Rose.

His Excellency Ulrich Drachendonner, Baron of Endless Hills, presented TRM’s and TRH’s with gifts of salts. He then explained that a scroll had recently come to light, one for a Baronial award to “Lord” Duncan von Halstern for the Order of the Crimson Thunderbolt. His Majesty was pleased to accept the scroll and a token of the Order.

The current Kingdom Bardic Champions, Master Michael Alewright and THL Brion Enkazi, announced the four finalists of the Bardic Champion competition who would perform during the feast: Fiona the Prepared, Fridrikr Tomasson, Dearbhforgaill an Chomhaidh and Gavin Kent. Her Majesty presented a token to each finalist as well as to the other participants: Wulfstan Drum, Guilliamette de Manchant, Taranach McLeod.

Lady Ysabeau Tiercelin was named a companion of the Order of the Sycamore for her research and needlework (scroll by Murdoch Bane).

Lady Deianeira Rodriguez y Aragones was awarded the Order of the Keystone for her service as fencer, autocrat and chronicler (scroll illum Keran Roslin, calig. George Anne).

Lord Gunnar Haakonson and Lady Rhiannon the Banshee were called forth together and each inducted into the Order of the Golden Alce for their skills in the Equestrian arts.

Lord Tigernach mac Cathail received the Order of the Golden Alce for his pursuit of armored combat, ax throwing and archery (scroll by Murdoch Bane).

Baron Artemius Andreas Magnus was received by the Order of the Fleur d’AEthelmearc for his outstanding glass work (scroll by Sofie Davenport).

Lady Juliana Delamare was granted the Order of the Fleur d’AEthelmearc for her extraordinary endeavors in fiber arts and weaving (scroll illum Esa Baird, calig Anna Blackleaf).

Their Royal Majesties called forth Their noble Order of the Pelican followed by Her Grace, Tessa the Huntress and her retinue. They heard the words of five individuals, Duchess Melisande de Belvoir, a Royal Peer, Mistress Elizabeth von der Flossenburg, who spoke for the Laurels, Duchess Rowan de la Garnison for the Chivalry, Master Fritz Justus and Baroness Giulietta da Venezia for the Pelicans. They each addressed the subject of Tessa’s qualities; her tenacity in the pursuit of her passions, her inspiration of others and her dedication to the Kingdom. Their Majesties were pleased by these reports and called for the accoutrements marking her as a Pelican to be brought forth. A cloak happily provided by Viscountess Rosalinde, a medallion brought forth by Duke Malcolm from Duchess Seonaid ni Fhion and Duke Michael of Bedford. Tessa then swore her oath as a member of the Order of the Pelican to Their Majesties, and there was much rejoicing!

Their Majesties thanked Baron Ulrich and the people of Endless Hills for their fine hospitality.

A moment of silence was requested to honor the memory of our lost friend The Honorable Lord Ulric Wulfricson of Thescorre.
