Court report of TRM’s Duncan and Ilish from Winter Event on March 1st A.S. 42 held in the Shire of Stormsport as reported by THL Matilda Bosvyle de Bela Acqua, Silver Buccle, with the assistance of Baron Fridrikr Tomasson av Knusslig Hamn and Lord Robert O’Connor.

Morning Court

TRM’s called before Them THL Bonita of Steltonwald who affirmed that she did wish to hear the council of the Peerage. Those members present of the Order of the Pelican came forward to escort her Ladyship to a chamber where she could sit vigil.

THLord Alric of the Mists was called before the Court. His Majesty spoke of Alric’s skill at Arms, his willingness to labor for others and He did decree that the time had come for him to be recognized. Those companions of the most noble Order of Chivalry were called upon to assist his Lordship in preparation for his vigil and to council him as he contemplated elevation to their Order. Duke Rurik Longsword begged a boon of Their Majesties as Alric was yet his squire. His Grace requested the return of his belt and chain, so that Alric might be unencumbered by his prior oath.

Afternoon Court

Maestra Yvianne de Castel d'Avignon and Lady Katla presented Their Majesties with several Kingdom Award tokens to be handed out as They please.

Lord Caoinlean Seanchaidh called Tower presented Their Majesties with a box of metal worked award tokens, by his hand.

Viscount Wulfbrand Lurkr swore his knightly oath of fealty and service to The Crown.

Their Majesties invited before Them the four youth combatants who had practiced their skills under the watchful eyes of Duchess Dorinda Courtenay. Her majesty presented a token of appreciation to each.

THLord Vladisla Nikulich awarded prizes to the day’s heavy weapon tournament winners: Lord Artair MacNeacail of the Middle Kingdom for the Bear Pit Tournament, Count Alaric le Fevre for the Double Elimination Tournament. Count Alaric was also named Over All winner.

Don Corwyn Montgomery awarded prizes to the winners of the day’s tournament of defense: Mistress Kris Gilibari as Populace Favorite, Baron Eric Grenier de Labarre for Excellence and Duchess Dorinda Courtenay as Tournament Victor.

Viscount Alexander Caithnes of Wyk awarded prizes to the winners of the Inspiration Arts & Sciences competition: Fredeburg von Katzenellenbogen for the King’s Choice prize, Bovi Farmadr for the Queen’s Choice prize as well as the Over All prize.

Derek le Gue was Awarded Arms for his participation in fighting, service as tollner and ready assistance to his Shire (Zen scroll by Fridrikr Tomasson)

Lady Ciara O’Crotaigh was established as a companion of the Order of the Keystone for her service as autocrat, tollner and exchequer (scroll by Ysabeau Tiercelin).

Maxmilian Petsch was created a member of the Order of the Sycamore for his feats of engineering wood into art (Zen scroll by Fridrikr Tomasson).

Willow of Stormsport was appointed to the Order of the Sycamore for her artistry in Middle Eastern dance (scroll by Sophie Davenport).

Viscount Alexander Caithnes of Wyk was named a companion of the Order for Martial Authenticity for his gentlemanly appearance in the lists (scroll by Hrefna in heppna Thorgrimsdottir).

Lord Caelin O’Ruairc was given into the Order of the Golden Alce for his skill in heavy armored combat (scroll by Barbary Rose).

Lady Collette de Paris was granted the Fleur d’AEthelmearc for her artistic endeavors as scribe and needle worker (scroll by Roberta McMorland).

Countess Alexandra of Clan Donald was welcomed as a member of the Order of the Millrind for her long service to the office of Exchequer (scroll by Sophie Davenport).

Lord Steven Ulfkellson was made a Baron of the Court for his dedicated service to Our Kingdom and Crown (scroll calig Anna Blackleaf).

Their Majesties recalled to Their presence His Lordship, Alric of the Mists who affirmed that he would accept elevation to the Order of Chivalry. Their Majesties requested to hear of his worth from the Peers of the realm: speaking for the Pelicans Baroness Vivian Marie de Beauve, for the Laurels Baron Quinn Kerr, for the Chivalry Sir Greadwynn mab Teyrnon and for the Royal Peers Duchess Angelik Chastellain de Beauvais. Many wondrous stories were told of Alric’s honor, his heroism and his heart. Being thus satisfied, His Majesty called for a pair of spurs to be placed upon Alaric’s heels. He called for a white belt that Alric’s lady, Katherine, might gird about his waist. He called for a riding coat to protect Alric’s person and a sword he may use in defense of the weak. Lastly His Majesty did produce a heavy golden chain upon which Alric did swear his oath of fealty to AEthelmearc and to the Crown. Thrice dubbed by Their Majesties with the Sword of State, Sir Alric of the Mists, Knight of AEthelmearc, arose and received his last unanswered challenge. Their Majesties recalled to Their presence Her Ladyship, Bonita of Steltonwald who affirmed that she would accept elevation to the Order of the Pelican and delivered her protégé belt into her sister’s keeping. Their Majesties heard testimony from Their Kingdom Peers about Bonita’s worth as a chatelaine, autocrat and of her enduring kindness to others: Countess Aiden ni Leir speaking for the Royal Peers, Mistress Amaryllis Coleman for the Laurels, Sir Magariki Katsuichi no Koredono for the Chivalry, Master Reemus Fletcher on behalf of the Pelicans. Being much pleased by these reports, Their Majesties called for a cloak and medallion with which to adorn her, signifying her new station as Mistress of the Pelican (scroll calig by Aiden ni Leir, illum by Giana di Aurelio).

Their Majesties thanked all those who brazed the sometime foul weather to attend the event, and drew the two winning tickets for the basket raffle to benefit the Royal Travel fund.
