Barony Marche of the Debatable Lands

Court report of TRM’s Duncan and Ilish from Siege of Harlech Castle on April 5th A.S. 42 held in the Barony Marche of the Debatable Lands as reported by THL Matilda Bosvyle de Bela Acqua, Silver Buccle.

Their Majesties received Sir Angus MacBain, marshal for event combat tournaments, who announced the winners: for the Atlantian-style Speed Tourney, Sir Cellach of the Barony of Middle Marches; Hail of Arrows contest, the team of Sir Alonzio of the Peacemakers, Lord Clewin Kupferhelbelinc, and Lord Liam o' Ceallaigh were most entertaining; Combat Archery Target, Lady Zoë Akropolitina; Bear Pit 2 Man Spear Tournament on the Drawbridge, the team of Sir Alonzio and Lord Liam were victorious. Her Excellency Baroness Ariella provided prizes for each of the winners.

Fionnait ingen Chonchogaidh was Awarded Arms (in absentia) for fencing and being helpful (calig by Andreas MacGhilde).

Gabriel de Wenslagh was Awarded Arms (in absentia) for heavy fighting and his donation of time (scroll by Sophie Davenport)

Brother Donald was given his scroll for the Order of the Sycamore, awarded at Carnivale.

Marion of Steltonwald received a Sigil d’AEthelmearc for her service to the Crown as seamstress and organizer.

Her Majesty gave tokens of thanks to THLady Allesandra d’Avignon, Mistress Bonita of Steltonwald, Baroness Aoibhel of DunHolen and Baroness Aleea Baga who had each given of their time and resources to assist with Their Majesties wardrobe.

Lord William Paris was given special thanks by Their Majesties, for his kind and gentle service to the Princess Royal, Elizabeth, during the event (betrothal contract to be negotiated at a later time).

Her Majesty gave tokens of thanks to each of those gentles who served in Their retinue and guard during the day.

Their Majesties thanked the event hosts, Their Excellencies Byron and Ariella for opening their home to one and all, the kitchen staff and all those who worked throughout the day to make it such a wonderful event.
