Baron Fridrikr Tomasson av Knusslig Hamn presented himself to Their Majesties to air a grievance on behalf of his kinswoman and request that it be corrected forthwith. He held that it was past time for her to be released from fosterage and be recognized with rank equal to her Master. Master Emerys Eustace, hight Broom, was called forth to answer these charges and defend his keeping of the Lady in servitude to his house. He allowed as how she was like a loaf of bread that must be allowed to sit awhile before baking, and that she had not yet “risen” –whereupon THLady Hrefna in heppna began to rise from her seat and the Court did witness her Master, most forcefully, command her to sit down! Such arguments continued as Master Broom proclaimed that he did not recognize that Master Fridrikr should have any authority to make such a determination about a servant of his household. His Majesty then inquired if he recognized Their authority to make such determination, and Master Broom did quickly doff his cap and bow to the Crown. Their Majesties proclaimed that They would judge this matter Themselves and called forth Hrefna in heppna Thorgrimsdottir, issuing her such writ as to command that she present herself at Their Court at AEcaedmy and to provide no more than 12 witnesses in her defense. Should she fail to appear the consequences would be most dire. Their Majesties called for those members of the most noble Order of the Laurel present to remove the defendant and provide her with wise council prior to the appointed hour of judgment (scroll words by Fridrikr Tomasson av Knusslig Hamn, calig. Antoinette de la Croix).
Mistress Graidhne ni Ruaidh came before the Court to conduct business and beg a boon. Their Majesties had previously sent her protégé to sit vigil, that having been concluded, Mistress Graidhne requested the return of her belt. THLady Constance Waite was escorted into court and did return such property. Graidhne then asked Their Majesties to do as They intended and elevate her Ladyship to the Peerage. Their Majesties called those who would speak to the candidate’s worth: for the Laurels, Baron Karl von Elfstein; for the Chivalry, Sir Isenwulf Thorolfssone; on behalf of the Royal Peers, Countess Caryl Oledatter; and for the Order of Pelicans, Master Kyriell Hawkmoon. All attested to her kind welcoming smile, her diligence and generosity of service. Thus satisfied, Their Majesties called for a mantle to cover her shoulders, presented by Gabriella d’Asti. The ancestral medallion came from Master Egil the Dane by way of Dennys the Decadent. An additional medallion to adorn her person was provided by Kyriell. Dame Constance, Mistress of the Pelican swore her oath of service to Crown and Kingdom upon the great Sword of State (scroll by Aibell Suil-uaine).
Their Majesties thanked all those who withstood the elements to attend the practices upon the field, and all those who worked behind the scenes to make the event happen.
Court was closed.
