Court report of TRM’s Khalek and Branwyn from Myrkfaelinn Summer War Practice on June 7th A.S. 43 held in the Dominion of Myrkfaelinn as reported by THL Matilda Bosvyle de Bela Acqua, Silver Buccle, with the assistance of Baron Fridrikr Tomasson av Knusslig Hamn.

Lord Pearce Redsmith presented gifts, for Her Majesty a bow in 3 pieces and target arrows, for His Majesty a bag of throwing weapons and to be distributed as They see fit, a number of leather Mongolian tokens.

Raeyni-hrefna announced the winners for the Arts and Sciences competition: for the Populace Choice Adult division – Anastasia de Lamoure’s reversible doublet; for the Populace Choice Children’s division – 1st place Robert of Myrkfaelinn’s stained window sticker, and a very close 2nd place Kyleigh of Myrkfaelinn’s stained glass Pegasus.

Nicholas of Windreach was Awarded Arms for his service, pursuit of knowledge, courtesy and kindness (scroll by Mairghead ni Stilbhaid uii Coinn).

Magdalena de Mayfield was Awarded Arms for her work as youth chancellor, seamstress and skill at thrown weapons (scroll by Gillian Llewellyn).

Cameron of Myrkfaelinn was Awarded Arms for participation in youth combat and his helpful and chivalrous nature (scroll by Zosia Kowalewska, words by Cori Ghora).

Lady Christine MacGregor was created a member of the Order of the Sycamore for her talent at cooking at various arts (scroll in progress).

Lady Rainagh of Wexford was inducted into the Order of the Golden Alce for her skills with bow and with heavy sword (scroll by Gwylim’s Scriptorium).

Lord Gavin Kent, one of the current Kingdom Bardic Champions was called upon to perform a song of his own choice. Thus moved by the sweetness of his voice, Their Majesties named him to Their Order of the Sycamore for his bardic skill, woodworking and sewing abilities (zen scroll by Fridrikr Tomasson of Knusslig Hamn).

 Lord Iain Ard mac an Bhaird was awarded the Order of the Sycamore for his knowledge and teaching about brewing and dance (scroll by Renata the Posh Rot).

Lady Gytha Oggesdohtor was inducted into the Order of the Sycamore for her many talents in the arts and for teaching about Viking culture (scroll by Gwylim’s Scriptorium).

Baron Artemius Andreas Magnus was added to the rolls of the Order of the Golden Alce for his focus on heavy weapons combat (scroll illum by Juliana Delamere, calig by Anlaith ingen Trenna).

Reyni-hrefna was Awarded Arms and the Order of the Sycamore for her work as A & S officer, her teaching of wire weaving, fiber arts and cooking (scroll by Bethany).

THLady Bridgette Kelly MacLean was commanded to appear before the Court. Their Majesties noted that her artistic skills with various needles had been brought to Their attention and that They were well pleased by her pursuit of this knowledge and willingness to share what she learned with others. Their Majesties requested that the companions of Their Order of the Laurel come forward to witness the Royal Writ issued to Her Ladyship and that the Order should council her with their collective wisdom prior to her return to Their presence at AEthelmearc AEecademy.

His Majesty decreed by His own words that in the past there had been a rift in the Kingdom that must be made whole once more. Those fighters residing within AEthelmearc’s boundaries who had taken up arms against AEthelmearc last year have been held accountable for their actions and punished; they are now pardoned, so long as they fight with AEthelmearc in the coming year at Pennsic War. We must be united as a Kingdom.
