Mountain
Court report of TRM’s Christopher & Morgen
from Fall
Crown Tournament on October 4th A.S. 43 held in the Barony of
Blackstone
Mountain in the presence of TRH’s Maynard & Liadain and Their
Excellencies
Tomas & Rowan, as reported by THL Matilda Bosvyle de Bela Acqua,
Silver
Buccle, with the assistance of Lord Malcolm fitzWilliam.
Their Majesties invited the Ladies of the Rose and Garnet into the Court. Their
Excellencies
announced that, unanimously, they would have liked to award the Shield
of
Chivalry to His Grace, Duke Morguhn Sheriden,
for his many years of
dedicated service and outstanding example of chivalry; but given as
that was no
longer possible, there was one gentle whose manners and prowess upon
the field
impressed them that day. THLord Thorgrim
Skullsplitter
was asked to take up the burden of the Shield and join Their Majesties
retinue.
Baroness Marguerite de la Marche
came forward to
announce the winning number of the basket raffle to raise funds for
Their
Graces, Rowan and Meirwen. Prizes were donated by several household and
individuals. She thanked the populace in attendance for their
generosity in
support of these Ladies, who have given such tremendous service to the
Kingdom
for many years.
Their Majesties presented gifts of brightly
colored silk to Baroness Aleea Baga
and Sir Magariki Katsuichi
no Koredono as thanks for their
time and talents in creating Their Majesty’s Coronation clothing.
Lady Ezrabet Fauconneau
was awarded the Order
of the Keystone for her many services as water bearer, MOL and cook
(scroll
illum by Rota Egilsdottir, calig by Bjorn
bunhauss Olafsson).
Lord Gareth Kincaid
was granted entry to the
Order of the Gage for skill at heavy combat and service as a marshal.
He was
most heartily greeted by his new companions (scroll by Renata
Rouge called the Posh Rot).
Her Ladyship, Juliana Delamare,
was summoned by Their Majesties so that They might admire her
workmanship in
all things intricately woven that did grace her clothing and person.
Having
noted her talent thusly, Their Majesties explained that there was a
group of
people who had likewise expressed admiration for her skill. Their
Majesties
called Their Order of the Laurel and issued such Writ for her Ladyship
to take
the council of the esteemed Order and return to Their presence at a
later time
(yet to be negotiated) to answer if she will accept an elevation in
rank to
said Order (scroll by Giana di Aurelio, cord and seal by Aiden ni Leir).
Court was closed.
