THLady Gabrielle d’Auvergne was recalled to the Court. She was preceded by a procession of people from many wondrous cultures, baring gifts for Their Majesties; dancers from the middle eastern lands of Constantinople and Thescorre, native Celtic tribesmen and women, warriors from the far orient, followed by a whimsical garland of tiny winged fairies. As her Ladyship presented herself to the Crown they did ask her if she would accept such rank as They wished to bestow upon her, and she replied that she  would be honored to do so. Their Majesties called upon her Laurel, Master Morien ap Rhys. He requested the return of his apprentice belt and offered her another trimmed in gold and matching her gown to take its place. The Order of the Laurel was called before the Court and many peers of the realm stood and attested to Gabrielle’s worth: for the Order of Pelicans Count Jehan de la Marche and Mistress Rosemarian of Edgewater, for the Chivalry Sir Ogami Akira and words from Viscount Haakon Oaktall spoke by Baron Fridrikr Tomasson, Duchess Maurya Sableswan for the Royal peers and Baroness Elizabeth Joanna von der Flossenburg for the Order of Laurels. Gabrielle was adorned with the symbols of her new rank: a Laurel cloak presented by Lady Brigit Donnelly and Lord Thomas de la Cascade made by Baroness Elizabeth, a cape of feathers representing her transformation presented by Count Jehan and Master Michael Alewright also made by Baroness Elizabeth, a laurel medallion handed down from Viscount Edward Zefran of Gendy to Master Morien, a laurel wreath by John the Artificer presented by Mia Brigitsdottir and the ancient, ancestral fruitcake of AEthelmearc presented by Baroness Daedez of the Moritu. Gabrielle swore her oath as a peer upon the sword of state and His Majesty presented her to the Kingdom as Mistress Gabrielle (scroll illum by Ismay Ponde, words by Jehan de la Marche).

Court was closed.
