Court report of TRM’s Christopher & Morgen from AEthelmearc 12th Night on January 10th, A.S. 43 held in the Shire of Riversedge in the presence of TRH’s Maynard & Liandain, as well as TRH’s of the Midrealm, Eikbrandr & Runa, as reported by THL Matilda Bosvyle de Bela Acqua, Silver Buccle, with the assistance of THL Brandubh O’Donnghaile and Count Jehan de la Marche.

Mid-day Court.

Their Majesties called forth THLady Juliana Delamare and inquired if she was prepared to sit vigil and hear the council of the Order of the Laurel. With her agreement Their Majesties call for the compainions of that noble Order to escort her from the hall until they should summon her again.

Evening Court.

Their Majesties recognized the service of Their Kingdom Arts & Sciences Minister, Baroness Elizabeth Johanna von der Flossenburg and thanked her for her willingness to continue in that office for another term.

The change over of the Office of Sylvan Signet was witnessed by the court as Mistress Antoinette de la Croix retired and Baroness Gillian Llwelyn of Ravenspur took up the burden of managing the Scribal College.

The key to the Kingdom Office of Chatelain was surrendered by  Lady Rowan l’Crotha and given into the hand of Lady Ellisif of Endless Hills so she might oversee the safe keeping of new comers to AEthelmearc.

The Office of Kingdom Chamberlain and all the treasures contained therein were turned over by Duchess Angelik Chastellain de Beauvais to the capable hands of THLord Caradawc Mendwr.

Robert Rose of Inverness was Awarded Arms for his years of quiet service on and off the field (scroll by Angus McBain and Yvianne Castel d’Avignon).

Lady Alexandra Caithness was inducted into the Order of the Golden Alce for her equestrian skills and service as an equestrian marshal (scroll calig. Ysabeau Tiercelin, illum. Morwenna Everdon).

Viscountess Rannveigr Haakonardottir was created a companion of the Order of the Golden Alce as one of the pivotal founders of AEthelmearc’s equestrian program (scroll by Ysabeau Tiercelin).

Marcon was Awarded Arms and inducted into the Order of the Golden Alce for participation in equestrian activities (scroll illum Rota Egilsdottir, calig Isabella Montoya).

Lord Ulfr hinn svarti Juzki was given (in absentia) an Award of Excellence and Grant of Arms in recognition of his service to the Shire of Kings Crossing as a founding member, former exchequer and autocrat (scroll by Creature Twynne Dragon).

Baron Batar Sogdo was admitted to the Order of the Millrind for service generously provided to his local group and the kingdom (scroll by Marija Kotok).

Lady Katla Ulfhednar received the Fleur d’AEthelmearc for her research and teaching of the canine arts, including coursing and hunting (scroll by Yvianne de Castel d’Avignon).

Their Majesties recalled to Their presence THLady Juliana Delamare. Having heard the coucil of the Peers, she assured Their Majesties that she would accept induction into the most noble Order of the Laurel. Said Order was called into court and representatives of each of the Peerage Orders stood when called to attest to her ladyship’s finest qualities and talents. For the Royal Peers, Duchess Tessa the Huntress; for the Pelicans, Baroness Giulietta da Venezia; for the Laurels, Mistress Rhiannon y Bwa and Baroness Elizabeth; for the Chivalry, Count Jehan de la Marche. Juliana was presented with the trappings of her new station: a laureled cloak from Baroness Elizabeth, a medalion from her husband Master Valgardr Gunnarsson made by Baroness Aleea Baga, a circlet from Lord Gareth, and inevitably, the ancestoral fruitcake of AEthelmearc. Their Majesties accepted her oath of fealty as a peer and Mistress Juliana greeted her companions. (Scroll text written and read by Jehan de la Marche, illum. Their Highness of the Midrealm, Prince Eikbrandr and Princess Runa spoke of Their joy at seeing so many familiar faces among the populace gathered at 12th Night and welcomed one and all to attend future events across the boarder in the Middle Kingdom.

Their Majesties having one remaining piece of business called upon Duchess Rowan de la Garnison, whom They did praise highly for her fighting skill, her service to the Kingdom and most particularly for her talents in the kitchen. Their Majesties summoned Their Order of the Laurel and delivered unto her Grace (as she sank into the floor most humbly at Their feet, shaking her head) a writ ordering her to appear before Them to answer if she will accept admission to this most illustrious Order. Their Majesties tasked Their Order to convince Her Grace that she is worthy of the honor they wish to confer.
