Shire of Abhainn Ciach Ghlais

Court report of TRM’s Maynard & Liadain from the 25th Crown Tournament on May 9th A.S. 44 held in the Shire of Abhainn Ciach Ghlais in the presence of TRH’s Henri and Elena, as reported by THL Matilda Bosvyle de Bela Acqua, Silver Buccle emerita, with the assistance of Lord Malcolm fitz William, Lady Aibell Shul-uaine and THLord Brandubh O’Donnghaile, Silver Buccle Principal Herald of AEthelmearc.

The Shire of Abhainn Ciach Ghlais paid their taxes to the Crown in the form of a basket of largess including articles produced by members of the Shire.

The Shire of Sylvan Glenn paid their taxes to Their Majesties and Their Heirs in the form of many apple related items.

Their Majesties called upon the event autocrat, Mistress Alicia Langland who issued many thanks to all of the event staff who worked so diligently at each of their tasks to make the day such a glorious occasion for all. She then begged a boon of Their Majesties and asked the court to witness her taking on a new apprentice, one Lady Aine ingen ui Aengusa, who did agree to enter into such service.

Sir Kadan Chakhilghan and Mistress Aleea Baga were commended by Their Majesties and given personal tokens in recognition of their having participated in every Crown Tournament since we became a Kingdom. Viscount Bear the Wallsbane was also recognized for having attended, marshaled or fought in every AEthelmearc Crown Tournament and also every Coronet Tournament since the beginning of our days as a Principality.

The Ladies of the Rose and Garnet came before the court to recognize the outstanding acts of chivalry upon the field during the tournament and announce the next bearer of the Shield of Chivalry as Sir Otto of Westfalia. They did thank his Lordship Thorgrim Skullsplitter for his service to the Kingdom for carrying the burden these last six months.

Gwynneth of Nithgaard was Awarded Arms for her industry as chatelaine, cook, fencer and equestrian participation (scroll by Gwyneth of Neutone Hille).

Andreas Jager von Holst was Awarded Arms for his tireless work at demos, as Shire archery captain and deputy knight marshal (scroll by Renata l’Rouge).

Jahanara opa Kerala was Awarded Arms in absentia for her grace at belly dancing, teaching and making clothes (scroll by Gillian Llwelyn).

Failend Brecc Occonel was Awarded Arms for her many helpful services to her Barony of Endless Hills as cook, minister of youth, MOL, retainer and scribe (scroll illum Caleb Reynolds, calig Gillian Llwelyn).

Giraldo di Rinaldo was Awarded Arms for contributions in the kitchen, washing dishes and competing on the archery field (scroll by Deryk Archer).

Gwilym ap Daffyd was Awarded Arms for helping at demos and events, teaching heraldry and performing with Cave Canem (scroll by Sthurrim Caithness).

Avitoria Vidua was Awarded Arms for her skill at needlework, making clothes and dancing (scroll illum by Keepers of the Rolling Dragon Household).

Lorenzo di Raffaele fabro was Awarded Arms for his work as cook, metalworker and blacksmith (scroll by Allesandra d’Avignon).

Lady Deirdre Scot of Clan Scot received the Order of the Cornelian for her outstanding courtesy and grace in helping others with event and projects (scroll illum Arden Scot of Clan Scot, calig Anna Blackleaf).

Lady Ariel of Greenwich was given into the Order of the Keystone for her service as Abhainn Ciach Ghlais Shire chronicler, tollner, teacher of leatherwork and opening her home for Shire functions (scroll by Vivienne of Yardley).

Lord Daithi Mor MacCynan was created a companion of the Order of the Keystone for his capability in carrying out the duties of seneschal of Nithgaard, cook and autocrat, as well as participation in demos and fighting (scroll illum Rota Egilsdottir, calig Bjorn bunhaus Olafson).

Lady Etain ingen Ruaidhri was awarded the Order of the Keystone for serving as A&S minister, participation with cook’s guild, hosting sewing and enameling classes (scroll by Barbary Rose, words by Eirik Harrfager Goransson).

Lady Lara Sukhadrev received the Order of the Keystone for her work as chatelaine, scribe, autocrat and teaching dance (scroll by Ysabeau Tiercelin).

Lord Thorvaldr Frithsamr was created a companion of the Order of the Keystone for his many years of service to Nithgaard as knight marshal, seneschal, herald and training fighters (scroll by Mary Elizabeth Clason).

Lady Vivienne of Yardley was awarded the Order of the Sycamore for her pursuit of the scribal arts (scroll by Felicity Flussmullnerin).

THLady Matilda Bosvyle de Bela Acqua having completed her term as Silver Buccle Principal Herald, and with the assistance of the other BooBS (Brotherhood of old Buccles, Silver), presented the Kingdom herald’s tabard to her successor THLord Brandubh O’Donnghaile, who then swore his oath of service as a Kingdom Officer to Their Majesties.

Following further announcements from the event autocrat, court was closed.
