Barony of Thescorre
Report of the Court of Their Royal Majesties Maynard and Liadain, King
and Queen of Aethelmearc, Court held on the 27th day of June Anno
Societatis xxxxiiii, at the 33rd Pax Interruptus held in the Barony of
Thescorre, Their Royal Highnesses Henri and Elena, Prince and Princess
of Aethelmearc, and Their Excellencies Eric and Katja, Baron and
Baroness of Thescorre, in attendance, THL Brandubh Ó Donnghaile,
Silver Buccle, assisted by Master Fridirkr inn Gamli.
Morning court.
Their Sylvan Majesties summoned forth THL Matilda Bosville de Bella
Aqua and asked her if she was ready to sit vigil to contemplate
elevation to the order of the Pelican. Matilda replied that she
had some unfinished business to attend to before she could do so, and
so Their Majesties summoned Mistress Orianna Fridrikskona to deal with
this business. Mistress Orianna released Matilda from her oath of
fealty and took back the yellow belt that she had given her 13 years
earlier. Their Majesties summoned Their Order of the Pelican to
Them and directed them to take this newly freed woman and council her.
Mistress Orianna them invited the populace to attend the vigil of her
until so recently protégé THL Matilda.
Evening Court
Their Majesties granted Their Excellencies Eric Grenier de Labarre and
Katja Davidova Orlova Khazarina leave to hold a baronial court.
Their Majesties lead the assembled populace in wishing a happy birthday
to Countess Caryl Olesdatter and Baroness Ekaterina Volkova.
Their Majesties invited the youths who participated in the youth
activities of the day to attend them. They thanked them all for
bringing lunch to the field and youths also presented Their Majesties
with a handsome pie for desert.
Lady Anastasia deLamoure presented Their Majesties with the gift of
Balls. She had led many in the Barony of Delftwood in making
period stuffed cloth balls and delivered them for Their Majesties’
amusement.
Lord Robert l’Etourdi made a presentation of booty form the ship
Riverwolf, it had been misplaced at Coronation when the rest of the
Privateers had paid their taxes.
Their Majesties called forth Rubyn MakDonald. They praised his
efforts in Angels Keep, serving as Minister of Arts and Sciences, and
his zeal for period games, and so They awarded him arms. Scroll by Lady

Richard von Thanner was awarded arms for service going back years,
service in the kitchens, washing dishes, building showers, gates and
furniture for Pennsic camps, serving as Chatelaine and hosting meetings

Their Majesties awarded arms to Elzbieta Traidenyte in absentia, for
assisting at events, dance practice, and barony meetings, and bid Their
Excellencies to pass the scroll along to her. Scroll by Lady

Their Majesties wished to speak with Lord Tigernach mac Cathail, they
spoke words of his service as seneschale of the Barony of Endless
Hills, as a thrown weapons marshall, retainer, photographer, and deputy
kingdom webminister. For all these things Their Majesties
inducted him into the Order of the Keystone. Scroll by Baroness

Lord Gaius Sergius Vettius was made a Companion of the Order of
Sycamore for his research and teaching of the Roman arts of war,

Their Majesties called for Lady Juliana Stafford. They noted that
they kept hearing her name after scrolls were read. The good lady
in fact even assists with giving out baronial scroll assignments,
produces baronial and kingdom award scrolls, and teaches new scribes.
This pleased Their Majesties who inducted her into the Order of the

Their Majesties called for Sigeroth Kain Aldrich to attend Them and
awarded him arms. Further they noted that he had become quite
proficient in the art of heavy combat and inducted him into the Order

Lady Gytha Oggesdohtor was called into court. Their Majesties
remarked that they had heard many reports of her, that she shot
targets, and that she shot people in melee, that she fought with spear
when no bows were to be had. Even more so she throws weapons,
regularly ranking among the top ten throwers in the kingdom, and served
on The Queen’s Guard. Such a dangerous woman should be marked for
clear visibility, and so Their Majesties inducted her into the Order of

Their Majesties invited Lord Fridrich Flussmüllner to attend
Them. It had been noted that this lord so enjoyed heavy combat
that he always had a smile on his face, and showed a constant desire to
better himself, and so he was inducted into the Order of the Golden

Their Majesties called for Lord Vigo da Napoli. They were very
pleased by the work that Vigo had done to achieve and stay in his
persona. His court garb and fencing uniform were one in the same,
and even his accent lends to his persona, and so Their Majesties
inducted him into the Order of the Golden Stirrup. Scroll

Mistress Elisabeth Johanna von Flossenburg was invited into Their
Majesties’ court. Their Majesties wished to thank her for all the
sewing that she ha done for Them. They Further wished to thank
her for all the sewing that she had done for previous reigns, and for
others across the kingdom regardless of station, and so in thanks from
the kingdom They bestowed upon her the Aethelmearc award of Excellence.
Their Majesties then called for Baroness Olivia d’Anjou. They had
heard that she had been taking great joy from her research on bees and
honey and even stated her own beehives to further her understanding of
the these industrious insects. Their Majesties noted that there
were others present who had also heard of these things, and summed
Their Order of the Fleur d’Aethelmearc to attend and did induct

Iain Ard mac an Bhaird was called into Court. Their Majesties
then summoned the Order of the Millrind to attend. They spoke of
the service of the man who was the kingdom webminister, had held nearly
every office that existed in the Dominion of Myrkfaelinn, lead the
kingdom brewers guild and autocratted. So They inducted him into

Their Majesties noted the long term devotion to the art of Thrown
weapons demonstrated by THL Aquila d’Athos, and inducted him into the

THL John Michael Thorpe was called into before Their Majesties.
Their Majesties commanded that he sit Vigil at Pennsic and contemplate
elevation to the Most Nobel Order of the Laurel for his exemplary work
in the field of metalworking. Writ by Harmedous Legros.
Their Majesties invited Mistress Orianna Fridrikskona into court,
Mistress Orianna informed Their Majesties that the Order of the Pelican
had carried out Their command and completed a Vigil, and requested that
They now proceed. Their Majesties summoned THL Matilda Bosville
de Bella Aqua, and then invited the members of the Order of the Pelican
to attend them. They asked the Order is they had had time to
counsel this woman, and then asked Matilda if she had had time to
contemplate this decision. They then called for Their advisors to
speak for this woman. For the Royal Peers Duchess Meirwen uerch
Owein and Countess Branwyn ferch Gwythyr spoke of courtesy and honor,
for the Chivalry Earl Yngvar the Dismal and Ertekhan Khalek Shurrag Od
spoke of courage and honor, for the Laurels Baron Rian Gortyroyan and
Baroness Katja Davidova Orlova Khazarina spoke of research teaching and
knowledge, and for the Pelicans Baroness Sadira bint Wassouf and
Duchess Dorinda Courtenay spoke of service. Their Majesties then
asked Matilda if it was her wish to accept the accolade of elevation
into the Order of the Pelican, and Matilda accepted. Their
Majesties then presented Matilda with the ancestral Pelican Medallion
of Aethelmearc and gave her another medallion from Their hand as well.
THL Pleasance de Coignieres brought forward a cloak made by her hand
and Mistress Orianna produced a cap of Maintenance made by the hand of
Lady Nezah bint Saleem for Mistress Matilda. Their Majesties then
received her oath of service upon the sword of state and presented her
with a scroll which was a work in progress by the hand of Mistress
Alheydis von Körckhingen upon a text by Baroness Daedra McBeth a
Gryphon, and presented her to the populace as Mistress Matilda Bosville
de Bella Aqua.
