Barony of the Rhydderich Hael

The Report of the Court of Their Royal Majesties Maynard and Liadain, King and Queen of Aethelmearc from Summer’s End  held on the 12th day of September in the Barony of the Rhydderich Hael, Their Royal Highnesses Henri and Elena and His Excellency Caleb of the Rhydderich Hael in attendance, THLord Brandubh Ó Donnghaile, Silver Buccle, with the assistance of Mistress Matilda Bosville de Bella Aqua.
 
Morning Court
 
Their Majesties summoned the Tribe Tuatha Fieren into Their court as they had heard that they had some business to conduct.  Baron William Freskyn Murray begged a boon as the Chieftain of the Tribe, he had served for some time in this post and wished to pass it on.  Baron Will then asked Baron Caleb Reynolds if he would take up the duties of Tribe Chieftain.  Baron Caleb consented to this, and Baron Will passed on to him the golden torc and favors for new tribes members.  However the tribe did rise up and members shouted that they had yet to vote on this changeover, but after a quick poll of the members present, they determined that the Tribe was satisfied to have Baron Caleb as their new leader.  Baron Caleb then said that he had some business for the tribe, and invested THLord Augusto Giuseppe da San Donato as an elder of the tribe and invited Lord Robert l’Etourdi to join the tribe.
 
Their Majesties called THLady Douglas Cameron Fitzrery to attend Them.  Their Majesties reminded her that They had instructed her to sit Vigil this day to contemplate elevation to the Most Noble Order of the Laurel, and asked her if she was indeed ready to progress along this path.  Their Majesties further invited Maestra Filipia Capriotti, THLady Cameron’s Laurel, to join them. Maestra Filipia released THL Cameron from her fealty and took back the green belt which she wore as a symbol of her apprentice relationship.  Their Majesties called for the members of the Order of the Laurel to come forward and take the lady to Vigil and give such counsel as they may.
 
Mistress Elisabeth Johanna von Flossenburg was invited forward to speak as the Kingdom Ministress of Arts and Sciences.  She announced that the vacant position of Kingdom Hounds Mistress had been filled by Lady Fiona ingen ui Fhaolain.
 
Her Majesty announced that she still had Pennsic Favors, and invited the populace to seek her out if they had not yet received one.
 
Maetra Filipia announced that the Vigil for THLady Cameron would begin at 12:30 and that the first hour of the Vigil would be reserved for Peers only.
 
Afternoon court on the field.
 
Their Majesties invited Duchess Meirwen uerch Owein and Duchess Rowan de la Garnison to attend Them and gave them leave to address the populace to award prizes for the Duke Morguhn Sheridan Memorial Tournament. 
Their Graces awarded a scroll by the hands of Baroness Ekaterina Volkova and Baroness Boudiccea Ravenhair to Sir Magariki Katsuichi no Koredono for his victory in the Polearm list.  They awarded a scroll by the hand of Baroness Ekaterina Volkova to His Highness Henri d’Artois for his victory in the sword and shield list.  And they awarded a dagger to Lord Tiberius Pinarius Varro for embodying the spirit of Duke Morguhn and being the bounciest fighter in the list.
 
Their graces next called for Ertekhan Khalek Shurrag Od and Countess Branwen ferch Gwythyr to come forward.  They gave a scroll by Dona Alessandra Bentivegna da Faenza to Ertekhan Khalek for his Victory in the Greatsword list, and another scroll to His Excellency Khalek by the hand of Mistress Gillian Llwelyn of Ravenspur for his victory in the 2 weapon list, and yet a third scroll by the hands of Baroness Ekaterina Volkova and Baroness Boudiccea Ravenhair for his overall victory of the tournament.  They then turned to his inspiration Countess Branwen and gave her a scroll hands of Baroness Ekaterina Volkova and Baroness Boudiccea Ravenhair for inspiring Khalek to these great deeds.
 
Evening Court
 
Their Majesties gave leave to His Excellency Caleb Reynolds to hold a baronial court.
 
Their Majesties invited THLord Augusto Giuseppe da San Donato to come forward as the captain of the Barony of the Rhydderich Hael’s Thrown Weapons team.  He and the thrown weapons team proceeded to present Her Majesty with a parade of roses in honor of Her birthday.
 
Their Majesties awarded arms to Mikesh Synner in honor of her works as scribe, seamstress, and chronicler of the Shire of Balckwater.  Scroll by Lady Renata Rouge.
 
Rhiannon Elandris of Glyndyfrdwy was awarded arms in absentia for her more than 20 years of service to society as cook, cleaner of event sites, and skills in equestrian arts.  Scroll by Lady Averill Messinger.
 
Lady Cordelia Colton was called into court and inducted into the Order of the Cornelian for her unwavering smiles and friendly nature, greeting and welcoming even strangers into her camp as if they were family.  Scroll by Lady Mary Elizabeth Clason with words by Mistress Gillian Llwelyn.
 
Lassairfhiona inghean ui Ghallchobair, known to some as Rena the Unpronounceable, was called into court.  Their Majesties were greatly pleased by her work in the Canton of Angels Keep and the Barony of Delftwood as fencing Marshal in Training, Chirurgeon in training, autocrat, and deputy and support for many Canton, Barony and regional kingdom offices, and so they awarded her arms.  Scroll by Lady Margaret Stewart Quinn.
 
Eldritch the Owl was awrded arms in absentia for his diligence and skill upon the archery range.  He shoots adult distances, and keeps a bowman average, and competes in the kingdom champion tournaments.  Scroll Illuminated by Baron Caleb Reynolds, and Calligraphed by Her Majesty Liadain ni Dheirdre Chaomhanaigh.
 
Their Majesties called Lord David Chadwick to approach the thrones.  They praised his steady services at events tearing down and setting up, helping in Kitchens, assistance with the royal camp at Pennsic, and at Ice Dragon, he even served on the Queens Guard and teaches youth fighters, for this Their Majesties inducted him into the Order of the Keystone.  Scroll Limned by Lady Sthurrim Caithnes, Calligraphy by Mistress Gillian Llwelyn.
 
Their Majesties called THLady Marci of Hadley into court and inducted her into the Order of the Keystone for works as a cook, service at demos, hosting meetings and workshops, and serving as kingdom regalia coordinator.  Scroll Limned by THLady Keran Roslyn and Calligraohed by Dame George Anne.

Lord Robert pour Maintenant was inducted into the Order of the Golden Alce for more than 20 years of fighting prowess in the Barony of the Rhydderich Hael and in the Household of Yama Kaminari.  Scroll by Lady Roxanne de St Luc with words by Sir Ogami Akira, translated into kanji by Miyao no Choujou, Golden Alce Medallion by Lady Minamoto Taikawa Saiaiko.
 
Their Majesties summoned the Abhainn Chiach Ghlais Cooks Guild and thanked them for providing such high quality food stuffs for many years, in particular the feast at Crown tournament and the food at Her Ladyship Cameron’s Vigil.  For all of the delicious and period food they create Their Majesties were moved to induct the ACG Cooks Guild into the Order of the Sycamore.  Words by Baroness Ekaterina Volkova, Sycamore Dishtowel by the hands of Lady Deirdre Scot of Clan Scot.
 
Their Majesties inducted Countess Isabeau de l’Isle into the Order of the Keystone in absentia for her years of support to the Sylvan army in the forms of Minitress of the Lists, Cook, seamstress, water bearer and even retainer.  Scroll limned by Mistress Juliana Delamare, calligraphy by THLady Anlaith ingen Trena.
 
Lord Avarga Chagadaai was inducted into the Order of the Keystone in absentia for his labors in the kitchens of the Rhydderich Hael and Beau Fleuve producing many fine feasts at events and even at Pennsic, and transporting baronial equipment.  Scroll limned by Lady Briana na Gealtacht de Mendoza, calligraphy by Mistress Gillian Llwelyn.
 
Their Majesties inducted Mistress Irene von Schmetterling into the Order of the Golden Alce for her pursuits of the arts of the horse and of the rapier.  Scroll by Lady Ysabeau Tiercelin.
 
Their Majesties bestowed the Aethelmearc Award of Excellence upon Mistress Arianna of Wynthrope for providing music for the delight of all for more than 20 years in the SCA, for Barony, kingdom, court and concert, even directing the Pennsic Known World Choir.
 
Lord Gabriel de Wenslagh was inducted into the Order of the Golden Alce for his skills in heavy weapons.  Scroll by Lady Fenris McGill.
 
Their Majesties called forth Lady Morwenna Everdon and inducted her into the Order of the Golden Alce for her proven skills at thrown weapons and at equestrian arts.  Scroll by Lady Juliana Stafford.
 
Their Majesties summoned His Majesty’s Equestrian Champion, Viscountess Rannveigr Haakonardottir.  Their Majesties said that many had noted her skills in the kitchens, others had noted her nimble fingers which embroider her clothes, while more admired the garments themselves, and none could deny the ease with which she could teach a class.  There was a group that also agreed that the skills of this woman could not be ignored any longer and so Their Majesties inducted Viscountess Rannveigr into the Order of the Fleur d’Aethelmearc.  Scroll by Lady Barbary Rose.
 
Their Majesties called Lord Filippo de Sancto Martino to attend Them.  They had heard much of the works of this man as well.  They had heard that he autocratted Ice Dragon, ran children’s activities, coordinated demos, administered the Rhydderich Hael Email Lists, served as Chatelaine, Webmaster and Minister of Fun.  Indeed others had seen these activities as well and so Their Majesties were so moved to inducted Lord Filippo into the Order of the Millrind.  Scroll by Lady Isolda filia Georgii.
 
Their Majesties summoned The Honorable Lady Douglas Cameron Fitzrery to attend them.  She was then introduced to them by Maitre Gilles de Beauchamps, Maestra Giulietta da Venezia and Don Eric Brehattin, and her procession sung by Lady Rhenna de An t’Eilean Dubh.  Their Majesties asked if she was prepared to accept elevation into the Most Noble Order of the Laurel, The Order of the Laurel was then summoned and they confirmed their desire to have this lady elevated.  Their Majesties heard council from Duchess Meirwen uerch Owain, Royal Peer, Sir Magariki Katsuichi no Koredono, Order of the Chivalry, Mistress Elisabeth Johanna von Flossenburg, Order of the Laurel, and Maitre Gilles de Beauchamps, Order of the Pelican.  Maestra Filipia Caprioti presented her with a cloak, and her husband Master Thorstein Christianson Ronnow presented her with a laurel pendant that he carved of amber by her design.  Lord Gilchrist MacNaughton had created a laurel wreath for her head also by her exacting designs, and Duchess Rowan de la Garnison presented the ancestral fruitcake.  Mistress Cameron then swore her oath of fealty upon the sword of state and was bid rise and greet her companions of the Order of the Laurel as the scroll in progress by Fruthikona Hrefna inn heppna and Lady Morwenna Everdon was read.

Her Majesty Invited all to seek her out to receive Pennsic favors.
