Shire of Stormsport
The Report of the Court of Their Royal Majesties Henri et
Elena, Kingdom and Queen of the Sylvan Kingdom of Aethelmearc, from
Their
Coronation held in the Shire of Stormsport on the 19th day
of
September as 44, THLord Brandubh Ó Donnghaile, Silver Buccle,
with the
assistance of THLord Cadell Blaidd du, and THLady Anlaith ingen Trena.
Morning Court
His Majesty Henri found himself to be alone o the dais,
invited his consort Her Highness Elena to join Him.
The members of Her Highness’s guard secured the hall and Her
Highness’s ladies in waiting escorted Princess Elena to the front of
the
Hall. King Henri took the coronet from
Her head and replaced it with the royal crown of Æthelmearc. King Henri and Queen Elena then took hands
and swore to each other and to the populace of the kingdom Their oath
of
service, and the royal lineage of the kingdom of Aethelmearc
was read.
Their Majesties Henri and Elena recalled His Excellency
Count Maynard von dem Steine and Mistress Liadain ni Dheirdre
Chaomhanaigh, and
recognized the achievements of Maynard to Duchy Status as the 7th
Duke of Aethelmearc, and Liadain to County Status as 14th
Countess
of Aethelmearc, and did present Her Excellency Liadain with a County
Coronet by
the hand of Duke Ronald Wilmot. Scrolls

Their Majesties next invited the members of the Orders of
the Rose and Garnet to attend Them. The
Orders welcomed Countess Liadain into their number and Countess Branwen
verch
Gwythyr presented her with a rose cloak, and Countess Alexandra of Clan
Donald
presented her with a rose for she is beautiful but also one that has
thorns.
His Majesty invited Sir Thorgrim Skullsplitter to come
forward and hold the sword of state until such time as Their Majesties
were
able to find a replacement to carry it.
Their Majesties received the continued oaths of service of
the great officers of the kingdom. The
Baronies of Thesscore, the Rhydderich Hael and Saint Swithins Bog came
forward
to swear their oaths. And the Members of
the Peerage Orders continued their oaths to the kingdom and crown of
Aethelmearc.
Their majesties then called forward Don Corwin Montgomery
and Madison Morai. His Majesty
questioned these two men if they were prepared to take on the task of
providing
for Her Majesty’s safety as the Captains of Her Majesty’s guard, but
Her
Majesty had to object at this point. Did
his Majesty intend on His Queen being serviced by a peasant? His Majesty was quick to answer that He had
no such intent and Awarded Arms to Madison Morai on the spot for his
services
and military tactics already rendered to the crown.

They did
invest Don Corwin and Lord Madison as Captains of the Queen’s Guard.
Evening Court
Their Majesties invited Sir Thorgrim Skullsplitter to attend
Them and invested him as Their Chivalry Advisor.
Their Majesties invited Mistress Miriam Meggett to attend
them and invested her as chief retainer and charged her with the
organization
of the retainers.
Their Majesties Called for Lord Brennan of Acre
and invited him to continue to act as the chamberlain for Their reign
as he had
already shown some aptitude.
Mistress Anthoinette de la Croix was invited forward and
confirmed as the reign coordinator to Their Majesties.
Their Majesties Invited Viscountess Judith of Kirtland to
come forward. Viscountess Judith asked
if she might conduct some business in Their Majesties’ court and called
forward
Lady Nivah Katherine Rose of Bannockburn. Judith then took Nivah as her
Protégé and
laid a yellow belt about her waist that all would know in whose service
she
lay.
Their Majesties called forward the Royal Clothiers who had
labored to cloth Their Majesties in newfound finery, and recognized
Duke
Christopher Rawlins, Duchess Morgen of Rye, Countess Isabeau del’Isle,
Baroness
Amraryllis Coleman, Mistress Anthoinette de la Croix, Mistress
Constance Waite,
Fruthikona Hrefna inn heppna Thorgrimsdottir, Mistress Miriam Meggett,
Mistress
Ts’vee’a bas Tseepora Levi, Baroness Allesandra d’Avignon, Baroness
Ariella of
Thornbury, Lady Geirdis Riuriksdottir, Lady Renata the Posh Rot, Ciar,
Maria,
and Mollie O’Donnell.
Lord Brennan of Acre was
invited forward and asked to bring his charge with him.
Brennan explained that as there is a plague
sweeping across our lands that he had upon the command of His Majesty
sought
out the services of the best plague doctor in all the land and brought
him
forth hooded and cowled, wearing a beak mask to protect his identity. The doctor’s terms were easy, if you have
money then we can save you. He had fresh
leeches, purest mercury and other such medicines. His
Majesty thanked Lord Brennan for his
diligence in this task and did appoint this plague doctor as the court
physician.
Their Majesties invited the Order of the White Scarf to come
forward. The Order spoke of a tradition
that they would wish to uphold, and presented Her Majesty Elena with a
white
scarf as a token of the Order and explained that the Order of the White
Scarf
serves Her Majesty, and whenever she has need of them, they will be
there.
Countess Caryl Olesdattir begged a moment to address the
populace. She had been given a letter by
the hands of Vilhjalmr and Bran, the children of Edward and Anastasie,
the
Baron and Baorness Elect of Delftwood.
In this letter they challenged all youth fighters to attend
their deed
of arms at the Feast of the Seven Deadly Sins, and join them in the
noble art
of combat.
Their Majesties inducted Ashley of Stormsport into the Order
of the Silver Buccle for her services assisting with set up and tear
down at

Gabrielle de Winter was called forward and Awarded arms for
her skills with rapier and her service to the crown as a member of
Their guard
and her endless services to the Incipient College of Vulcan’s Forge of
which
she had instrumental in its formation, recruitment of new members, and
organizing lectures and workshops.

Their Majesties called for Stasha Sebastyn and praised her
for her work in House Helion Furion, for she cooks, sews and hosts
practices. For this Their Majesties

All of the entrants in the Kingdom Arts and Sciences
champion competition were invited to come forward, Lady Ismay Ponde,
THLady
Fredeburg von Katzenellenbogen, Lord Reynard le Vavasseur, and Lady
Lyssa von
Stahlgeist. Her Majesty thanked all of
the entrants for participating, and that each of their entries had
inspired Her
in their own way, but only one could win and that was the woodcut by
THLady
Fredeburg von Katzenellenbogen. Their
Majesties presented the baldric of the Arts and Sciences Champion to
THLady
Fredeburg and asked her to join Their Court.
Their Majesties called upon Sir Maghnus an Chnoic na n’Iora
to attend Them. They spoke about Sir
Maghnus’ attempts to spread peace through out the battle fields and his
early
morning coffee with Their Royal Persons, and so Their Majesties did
create Sir
Maghnus Their Javanese Ambassador of Peace, and presented him with a
scroll by
Lady Barbary Rose upon Words by Lord Po Silvertop.
However as long as They had Sir Maghnus in Their Presence
Their Majesties were further moved to create him a member of the Order
of the
Cornelian for his gentle conversations and keeping Their Majesties sane. Scroll limned by Lady Gwenhwyvar Morwyn and

Their Majesties further invited Sir Magariki Katsuichi no
Koredono to attend Them. Her Majesty
spoke of a time when Sir Koredono had protected her from the unwanted
advances
of another at a party, and so Their Majesties created Sir Koredono Le
Gardien
de la Virtu de la Reine, and presented him a scroll by Lady Barbary
Rose upon
Words by Lord Po Silvertop.
Lord Theodoric Sturmveder also called Drake was called into
Their Majesties’ court. His Majesty
spoke words that he had known this gentle for more than ten years and
fought
beside him on the battlefield for just as many, and so it gave him
great
pleasure to induct him into the Order of the Golden Alce.

Their Majesties called for THLady Roberta McMorland to
attend them. They had been hearing many
reports of the activities of this woman.
They heard that she continued to produce scrolls, and that she
tough
other scribes to create beautiful scrolls for Their courts, and that
her
fundraising efforts had been extremely successful for the college of
scribes. Their Majesties then called for
the Order of the Millrind, and inducted Roberta into that Order. Scroll by THLady Anlaith ingen Trena.
Their Majesties then called for the presence of Viscountess
Rannveigr Haakonardottir. They spoke to
her of her recent recognition into the Order of the Fleur d’Aethelmearc
for her
cooking and sewing, embroidery and teaching, and research in to the
Viking age
and that they had further business with her.
They then invited the companions of the Order of the Laurel to attend
Them. They instructed Viscountess
Rannveigr to go
with the companions of the Order of the Laurel
and return to Them with an answer as to when she would sit vigil to
contemplate
elevation into its ranks. Writ by Lady

Their Majesties invited the kingdom to join them in the pilgrimage
to nobility quest. They Invited Lady
Lyssa von Stehlgeist to come forward and challenged her to lead the
kingdom’s
youth in this quest. As part of this
quest each youth that participates will receive a hood and will receive
tokens
from each of the portions that they complete to adorn the hoods. To that end Her Majesty Elena gave Lady Lyssa
her own hood top start off the quest, and invited all the attend the
first
portion of the pilgrimage at Harvest Raids.
His Majesty invited the kingdom to join Him in a crusade to
Gulf Wars and read a proclamation regarding this war to the populace,
to
inspire them to join Their Majesties and win glory for the Kingdom of Aethelmearc
at this foreign war.
