Fasching and Baronial Investiture
Barony of the Endless Hills
The Report of the Court of Their Royal Majesties Henri and Elena, King and Queen of Aethelmearc, held at Fasching and Baronial Investiture in the Barony of the Endless Hills on 7th day of November as xliv, Her Royal Majesty Brenwen the Faire, Queen of the East, His Excellency Ulrich Drachendonner, Baron of the Endless Hills, and Their Excellencies Gunnarr and Barbary Rose of the Endless Hills in attendance.  THL Brandubh Ó Donnghaile, Silver Buccle, with the assistance of Lady Bera of Tavastland.
 
Morning Court.
 
Their Majesties invited Her Majesty Brenwen, Queen of the East, to join them in Their Court.
 
His Majesty turned to Baron Ulrich Drachendonner and commented that his term as Baron of the Endless Hills had come to an end and asked him if he were ready to be released from this task.  His Excellency replied that he would ask for a moment to hold one last court so that he might settle his last business before proceeding.
 
Their Majesties granted His Excellency Ulrich leave to hold his baronial court.
 
Their Majesties now called Baron Ulrich Drachendonner to present himself before them.  They also called for the heirs to the Barony Lord Gunnarr of the Endless Hills and Lady Barbary Rose of the Endless Hills to come forward and witness.  Their Majesties thanked Baron Ulrich for his steady hand as he held the lands of the barony of the Endless Hills in trust for Them and for Their ancestors, knowing that the barony had grown and flourished under his leadership, and presented him with a gift basket that he might celebrate.  But it was now time for him to step down and make way for others to carry this burden.  Their Majesties removed the Baronial coronet from his head, and released him from his bonds of fealty to the kingdom and the barony.
 
There being no leader of the Barony, Their Majesties called forward the Baronial Seneschale, Lord Tigernach mac Cathail, to counsel Them.  Lord Tigernach verified that an election had been held in accordance with Kingdom Law, Corpora, and Baronial Policies, the populace had been polled and voted to remain a barony and had chosen Lord Gunnarr and Lady Barbary Rose of the Endless Hills to be their next Baron and Baroness.  Their Majesties thanked Lord Tigernach for his service.
 
Their Majesties then instructed Lord Gunnarr and Lady Barbary Rose to come forward and kneel.  Their Majesties asked if they were prepared to take on the heavy burden of the coronets of the Barony of the Endless Hills.  Their Majesties then crowned them as 5th Baron and Baroness and took their oath of fealty and service for their barony.
 
Their Majesties recalled His Lordship Ulrich Drachendonner into Their court and created him a baron of the court in thanks for his stewardship of Their Lands of the Barony of the Endless Hills.  Scroll limned by Lady Rota Egilsdottir and calligraphed by Lord Bjorn Bunhauss Olafsson.
 
Their Majesties gave Their Excellencies leave to hold a baronial court, and even lent them the use of one of Their guards, Lord Po Silvertop the Rogue, to act as their herald.
 
Their Majesties exchanged gifts with their Excellencies Gunnarr and Barbary Rose, and gifts with Her Majesty Brenwen of the East as well.

Their Majesties Awarded Arms to Will Deth for fencing and fighting and teaching the same to newcomers and work with melee tactics.  Scroll illuminated and words by Lady Deianeira Rodriguez y Aragones with calligraphy by Baroness Barbary Rose.
 
Evening court
 
Their Majesties invited Her Majesty Brenwen of the East to join Them in court.
 
Their Majesties gave leave to Their Excellencies Gunnarr and Barbary Rose to hold a baronial court.
 
Their Majesties invited Her Majesty Brenwen to hold a royal Court.
 
Baron Caleb Reynolds was called into court to speak as an ambassador for the Tribe Tuatha Fieren.  He spoke of a conversation that he had had with Their Majesties about an old tradition of giving every new lord and lady a circlet from Their Majesties hands when they received and award of arms.  In order for that tradition to be carried on he presented Their Majesties with 8 circlets made of leather with the promise of 32 more to be delivered as the tribe completes them.  He also spoke of the Hael Brewers Guild and another conversation, and presented Her Majesty with 2 bottles of Peach Mead.
 
Lady Lumanitsa the Oracle and Lady Dawn de la Lune were called forward and made a presentation of a gift basket to Their Majesties.  Lady Lumanitsa was the autocrat and wished to thank all of her staff for the fabulous day.
 
Their Majesties invited Lady Mariana Pietrosanti to come forward and assist with distributing toys to the youth in attendance at the event.
 
Their Majesties summoned the Steel Therapy Rapier Company to Them and Named Lord Po Silvertop the Rogue, Lady Deianeira Rodriguez y Aragones, Khristian Pykh, and Lord Stefan Verdi Lulfskyn as border guards and presented each with letters of mark limned by the hand of Lady Fenris McGill.  They were then charged to keep safe the eastern borders through river, sea and ocean from any threats and to deliver one full share of any booty seized as their taxes on such revenues.  They did in return present Their Majesties with some of the aforesaid booty which had been collected in anticipation of this moment.
 
Their Majesties called for Chernislava Alekseeva known as Nishka to attend Them.  They had been impressed by her Taiko drumming, her skills in fencing, making her way into the semi finals at the Queen’s Rapier Challenge, and her willingness to travel great distances to serve on Her Majesty’s Guard.  They were so moved that They Awarded her Arms.  Scroll limned by Lady Mariana Pietrosanti, words by Lord Po Silvertop, calligraphy by Evangelos.
 
Doovay de Vadasz was awarded arms for his service at demos, wearing armor in parades and standing as an example of chivalry, adding to the pageantry wherever he is.  Scroll by Lady Marija Kotok upons words by Lord Eirik Goransson.
 
Verica ingean Domnaill was awarded arms for her help in feast halls, setting tables, helping with shades and list trees upon the tourney fields, and her service in Mistress of the lists for the Shire of Sterlynge Vayle.  This so moved Their Majesties that They also inducted her into the Order of the Keystone.  Scroll limned by Lady Deianeira Rodriguez y Aragones, calligraphy by Dame George Anne upon a text by THLord Brandubh Ó Donnghaile.
 
Their Majesties instructed Their Guards to bring Lord Po Silvertop the Rogue before Them.  Their Majesties charged Po that he did knowingly raise an army of fencers in the Barony of the Endless Hills, and that he did take it upon himself to train marshals to keep control of this army.  Their Majesties could not allow this behavior to go unanswered and so They inducted him into the Order of the Keystone.  Scroll limned by Lady Maria Caterina de Ravvenna, calligraphed by Lord Robert l’Etourdi, upon a text by Lady Meg the Mad and Lord Robert l’Etourdi.
 
Their Majesites thanked all for coming and the staff of the event, and then Spoke of Inspiration, and how inspiration had recently come from the Kingdom of Northshield, where His Majesty Ziedfried had truly made Her Majesty Elizabeth a Princess Bride.  Upon Consultation with Their Majesties of the East, Their Majesties Henri and Elena did make the following proclamation, knowing Her Majesty Elizabeth’s love for the movie the Princess Bride:
 
The movie "The Princess Bride" may be considered a historical document for the duration of our reign and as such may be used as a citation without penalty.  To that end, the words "melee team" may be replaced by "brute squad," vanquished fighters on the field may be referred to as "mostly dead," and all tourney rapier fighters are encouraged to fight one round either left handed or with six fingers as they prefer.  We recognize that the Kingdom Flower of Northsheild will be the Buttercup for the duration of King Zigfried and Queen Elizabeth's reign.  Quotation from the movie shall be encouraged by the crown.
 
As this decree was read in court the response from the assembled populace in unison was "As you wish".
