The Report of the Court of Their Royal Majesties, Henri et Elena, Roi et Reine d’Aethelmearc held at the Feast of the Seven Deadly Sins held on the 13th Day of February as 44 in the Barony of Delftwood, Their Excellencies Artemius and Calrice, 8th Baron and Baroness of Delftwood and Edward and Anastasie, 9th Baron and Baroness of Delftwood in attendance, THL Brandubh Ó Donnghaile, Silver Buccle, with the assistance of Master Fridrikr Tomasson av Knusslig Hamn.

Morning Court

Their Majesties turned to Their Excellencies Artemius and Clarice, Baron and Baroness of Delftwood.  Their Majesties had come this day to enforce the laws of succession for the Barony of Delftwood.  They asked Their Excellencies if they were prepared to proceed along this course.  However, Their Excellencies asked that they be allowed to conduct some unfinished business first.

Their Majesties granted them leave to conduct their last baronial court.

Their Majesties then called Baron Artemius Andreas Magnus and Baroness Clarice Roan forward.  Their Majesties had witnessed their final acts and now proceeded along the path the law dictates.  Their Majesties divested Their Excellencies of their baronial coronets and released them form their bonds of fealty to the Kingdom and Barony of Delftwood, and thanked them for their steadfast service as the 8th Baron and Baroness of the Barony of Delftwood.

Their Majesties now found that Their Barony of Delftwood was without a head, and so They called forth the Seneschale of the Barony of Delftwood, Lady Failenn ingen Chernaich.  Lady Failenn bore witness to Their Majesties that the Barony of Delftwood had conducted a baronial election in accordance with all Baronial Policy and Kingdom Law and that the populace had selected heirs.

Their Majesties then called forward these heirs Lord Edward Harbinger and Lady Anastasie de Lamoure.  Their Majesties questioned them is they were ready to accept the burden and weight of the cornets of the Barony of Delftwood and further questioned the populace that this was their will.  Their majesties invested Edward and Anastasie as the 9th Baron and Baroness of Delftwood, and received their oath of fealty to serve the Kingdom and Barony, The Crown and their populace.

Their Majesties invited Baron Edward and Baroness Anastasie to join Them and take their thrones in court.

THLord Artemius Andreas Magnus and THLady Clarice Roan were called forward.  Their Majesties wished to officially convey Their thanks to Artemius and Clarice for their exemplary services as the heads of the Barony of Delftwood and so created them a Baron and Baroness of the Court of Aethelmearc.  Zen Scroll by THLord Brandubh Ó Donnghaile.

Their Majesties called forth Her Excellency Countess Caryl Olesdatter and delivered unto to her a writ to sit vigil in contemplation of elevation to the Most Noble Order of the Pelican.  Their Majesties called forth the Members of the Order and Instructed them to take her and give what counsel the may.  Writ limned by lady Gudny of Sylvan Glen, calligraphy by Mistress Gillian Llwelyn upon a text by THLord Cadell Blaidd du.

Their Majesties invited the populace to watch the deed of Arms to be conducted by the Young Vilhjalmr Edvardarson and Bran Mac Simmain.

Evening Court

Their Majesties called Baron Artemius Magnus and Baroness Clarice Roan to attend Them and presented them with a pair of scrolls for their Court Baronies by the Hand of Signora Portia de Sancto Lucianno with vinework by Lady Rose of House Laughing Swans.

Don Benedict Fergus atte Mede and the Members of the Order of the White Scarf who assisted in the Pilgrimage to Nobility that day were called forward.  Don Fergus explained the activities that the Order of the White Scarf had conducted for the youth and populace to participate in this station.  Their Majesties then invited the members of the populace who participated in the Pilgrimage and presented them with tokens cast by THLady Dyan of Caledonia.

Their Majesties called Lady Sultana bint Mihail forward and charged her with a chest of toys instructing the youth in attendance to seek her out and choose a toy for themselves.

Baroness Jennet the Gentle was invited forward as His Majesty had something of hers.  He explained to the populace that when last he was on the throne he got to know Baroness Jennet and she lent him a book that he had been unable to part with.  This day he returned the book to her.  Further in appreciation of her long suffering patience and grace to all with whom she interacts Their Majesties awarded her the Award of Excellence and Her Majesty presented her with a necklace as a token.

THLord Brandubh Ó Donnghaile, the Silver Buccle Herald of Aethelmearc, begged a moment of time in Their Majesties’ Court.  Brandubh Explained that Mistress Alheydis von Korckhingen had served for many years as Garnet Herald, the submissions herald for the Kingdom of Aethelmearc, and at this point she had trained a successor and wished to step down.  Master Fridrikr Tomasson av Knusslig Hamn was called forward and asked if he was now ready to accept the post of Garnet Herald to serve the Kingdom of Aethelmearc and the Entire Society in this function.  He replied that he was prepared and willing to take on this task, and delivered his oath of service to Their Majesties.  Mistress Alheydis was further asked to stay on in the college of heralds in the station of Cornelian Herald to serve as deputy to Garnet Herald and lend Garnet such support as he may need until such a time as Garnet may select a successor to train in the ways of a submissions herald.

Their Majesties invited the members of the Canton of Angels Keep to attend Them on the behalf of Lady Gwenhwyvar Morwyn who was unable to attend.  Lady Gwenhwyvar had undertaken the AS 50 challenge and as part of her challenge had completed 50 scroll blanks and 50 scroll cases to go with them and presented these to the kingdom of Aethelmearc.

Lord Taranach McLoed presented Their Majesties with new Sycamore award medallions so that They might present them in Their Courts.

Seamus Rogan was called forward and presented with a badge in formal recognition of his achievement of the rank of Master Bowman in the field of Archery with a current listed royal rounds average score of 82.3.

Their Majesties called forward Bran Mac Simmain and Vilhjalmr Eðvarðarson.  They commended them for their skills and chivalry in hosting a youth deed of arms that day and they had so impressed Their Majesties in that pursuit that they inducted Bran and Vilhjalmr into the Order of the Silver Alce.  Scrolls by Lady Zosia Kowalewska with illumination by Sarafina Kowalewska (age 6), and Mistress Ekaterina Volkova.  His Majesty further announced his support of these young warriors that announced his plan to decorate his spear at gulf wars with their pennons, and encouraged all youth fighters in the kingdom to display the axe featured on the devices of these young brothers’ shields on their own shields as inspiration of their noble deeds.

Marguerite de Neufchasteau was called into court and Their Majesties thanked her for her generous gift to the Kingdom of Ansteorra of new kneeling pillows for Their Majesties to present at Gulf Wars.  Not only this, but this Lady had served as Land agent for her camp at Pennsic, retained for Barons and Kings, and was working on her thrown weapons average.  All of this had greatly impressed Their Majesties and so They were moved to Award her Arms.  Scroll by Baroness Barbary Rose with words by Lord Po Silvertop.

Their Majesties called forward Marcus Claudius Cincinnatus and thanked him for his efforts as co-autocrat of the event that day.  They had heard that he fought with honor and sought to become a heavy weapons marshal to further serve his fellows.  His skills with a bow had earned him the title of baronial archery champion, and he volunteered his services at every turn.  For this Their Majesties Awarded him Arms.  Scroll painted by Cally, upon a design by Lady Marija Kotok with calligraphy by Christine Legros.

Beatrix Krieger was called forth and awarded arms for her inspirational athleticism upon the fighting fields of Pennsic.  Scroll limned by Lady Sthurrim Caithnes, calligraphy by Countess Liadain ni Dheirdre Chaomhanaigh.

Their Majesties Awarded Arms to Christina inghean Ghriogair for her unwavering services to the youth combat community as a marshall.  They further inducted her into the Order of the Keystone for her teaching of weapons making to the youth, often furnishing all materials at her own expense.  Scroll by Mistress Matilda Bosville de Bella Aqua.

Their Majesties inducted Lord Michael Gladwyne into the Order of the Keystone for his service as a marshal of fence and services as chirurgeon and escorting newcomers.  Scroll by  Lady Helene al-Zarqa.

Lady Failenn ingen Chernaich was called forward and inducted into the Order of the Keystone for her service as Seneschal of Delftwood and as scribe and cook.  Scroll by Lady Helene al-Zarqa.

Their Majesties called THLord Robert O’Connor who asked if he might conduct some business.  Robert asked if he might call Sir Olafr THorvardarson forward.  Robert explained that he had promised a suitable chest for Sir Olafr in commemoration of his elevation to the Order of the Chivalry, and called for his cohorts to bring forward the Viking rowing chest that Baron Stevan Ulfkellson had constructed.  THLord Robert apologized that Sir Olafr would have to wait just a little bit longer before he could take it home, as Baron Stevan planned to enter the chest in the Arts and Sciences competition at Ice Dragon.

Their Majesties bid Sir Olafr Thorvardarson to stay just a moment longer and inducted him into the Order of the Keystone for his services as knight marshal, teaching fighting and armor making and as web minister for the barony of Delftwood.  Scroll limned by Lady Isabella of Sylvan Glen with calligraphy by Lady Mary Elizabeth Clason.

Lady Fenris McGill was called forward and inducted into the Order of the Golden Alce for her skills at rapier combat and her ready teaching of the art of fence.  Scroll limned by Lady Gillian McGill and calligraphed by Lady Juliana (McGill) Stafford.

Their Majesties called Lady Verederosa del Sol and praised her hard works in the kitchens of the barony of Delftwood, serving as deputy chirurgeon and volunteering before anyone even knows that things need to be done, and inducted her into the Order of the Keystone.  Scroll limned by Baroness Boudiccea Ravenhair and calligraphed by Baroness Ekaterina Volkova.

THLord Iain Mac an Bhaird was inducted into the Order of the Golden Alce for his consistent improvements and active participation on the heavy weapons fields.  Scroll limned by Lady Marija Kotok with calligraphy by Mistress Gillian Llwelyn.
Their Majesties inducted Lady Catherine O’Herlihy into the Order of the Sycamore for her bardic skills on demand, writing poetry, song or prose and performing with a good sense of humor.  Scroll by Lady Felicity Flussmullnerin.

Lord Cameron de Bryte was inducted into the Order of the Sycamore for his skills at weaving chain mail and jewelry making and teaching many classes on those subjects at local events and Pennsic alike.  Scroll by Mistress Matilda Bosville de Bella Aqua.

Their Majesties called forward Lady Etain ingen Dalaig.  They spoke words to her that they had been impressed by her actions for years and were pleased to be in a place to reward her gentle grace and fairness at crown tourney, and in every aspect.  So Their Majesties inducted her into the Order of the Cornelian.  Scroll by Lady Vivienne of Yardley.

Don Christian Amaury de Launey was called forward, and Their Majesties spoke of his research and teaching and practice of historical fencing texts, how he redacted his own fighting style from period manuscripts.  Their Majesties then inducted Don Christian into the Order of the Fleur d’Aethelmearc for these pursuits of the historic art of fence.  Scroll by Lady Feliciy Flussmullnerin.

Their Majesties then called Countess Caryl Olesdatter to come forward.  They spoke to her that They had sent her to vigil that morning to contemplate whether she would accept elevation into the Most noble Order of the Pelican, and that they would hear her answer at this time.  Countess Caryl replied that she would be most pleased and honored to proceed along this course.  Their Majesties then summoned forth the Companions of the Order of the Pelican there present and had them confirm that they would have her added to their number.  Their Majesties further called for witnesses to the character of Countess Caryl.  Viscountess Moria the Black of Ealdormere spoke as a Royal Peer, Sir Murdoch Bayne delivered words from Duke Ronald Wilmot and then words from himself as members of the Order of Chivalry, Mistress Sadira bint Wassouf spoke as a member of the Order of the Laurel, and Baron Tofi Kerthjalfadsson spoke as a member of the Order of the Pelican.  Being satisfied with this testimony, Their Majesties proceeded to invest Caryl with the regalia of the Order of the Pelican.  Mistress Matilda Bosville presented the ancestral Pelican medallion to Caryl for Mistress Allesandra d’Avignon.  Master John Michael Thorpe presented Caryl with a medallion made by his hand, and Baron Tofi Kerthjalfadsson presented her with a medallion from his Lady Countess Genevieve du Vent Argent and himself.  Maitresse Muriel de Chimay of the East presented a hand stitched embroidered hood made by her hands.  Their Majesties then took her oath of fealty upon the sword of state, and Their Majesties presented Countess Caryl, Mistress of the Order of the Pelican to the populace.  Scroll By Dona Alessandra Bentivegna da Faenza with wording by Baroness Ekaterina Volkova.

The Autocrats asked that the populace clear the tables after court, so that feast could be set up.

Their Majesties thanked the populace for he wonderful event, for each one present had made the event better by their participation. Their Majesties announced that the travelling army of the Kingdom of Aethelmearc had reached 34 warriors who had committed themselves to taking the field at Gulf Wars.  They invited each member of the populace to consider joining Them in the grand crusade, and to contact Their Majesties if they are in need of safe transport.
