Tournament of the White Hart
Shire of Port Oasis

Report of the Court of Their Majesties, Henri and Elena, Roi et Reine d’Aethelmearc, held at the Tournament of the White Hart in the Shire of Port Oasis on the 6th day of March a.s. 44, Their Excellencies Kire MacUrsus and Katherine Wert, Baron and Baroness of Blackstone Mountain in attendance, THLord Brandubh Ó Donnghaile, Silver Buccle, with the assistance of Lord Bressal MacCulloch.

Their Majesties invited Their Excellencies Kire and Katherine, Baron and Baroness of the Barony of Blackstone Mountain to join them on the dais, and received their oath of fealty.

Before the Tournament winners were announced, Her Majesty called Sir Graedwynn mab Teyrnon, THLord Georg Eisenfaust, THLord Gabriel Hawkes, and Sir THorgrim Skullsplitter and praised their efforts of exemplary chivalry, courtesy, and honor upon the field.  Whether they fought in the name of those who could no longer fight, for those with no voice in the tourney, or those who stepped aside from the tourney.

Their Majesties called forward the Autocrats of the event, Lady Rignach inghean ui Conal and Lady Sebastianne du Guion.  They thanked their staff and cook, Faolan Dubh MacLochlain, and each other for their support in making this year’s Tournament of the Whitehart a success. They then called forward last year’s champions who had hosted the tourneys that day. 

Sir Cellach McCormick and his Lady as the Lord and Lady of the Whitehart had hosted the heavy weapons tournament, and presented gifts to Sir Tristen Sexwulf as the winner of the tournament.  They then presented the honor of the Lord of the Whitehart to the late Lord Eougan Cu, who even after his passing had inspired deeds of great honor on the tournament field that day, and proclaimed his Lady Wife Soarcha, the Lady of the Whitehart.

Lord Captain Terrance Merrit McKlay had hosted the fencing tournament for defender of the Whitehart and presented Herr Joseph Kildonnen as the victor and champion, and presented him with gifts.  Lord Terrace further called upon Master Donnan the Solitary and praised him for his inspirational Chivalry upon the field and presented him with gifts as well.
THLord Fintan na Coilled called forth Master Robert the Grey to stand as this year’s Yeoman of the archers, as he had proven the most skillful on the archery range.

Mistress Anne Grey as the Laurel Judge of the Arts and Sciences display called forth Lady Grace the Good and presented her as the Arts and Sciences champion of the Whitehart for her entry of hand knitted shawl and hand spun wool.

The Lady Autocrats then presented a thank you basket to Their Majesties for attending their event and watching over the tourneys.

Their Majesties called forth Lady Allyssa von Stahlgeist to speak about the Pilgrimage to Santiago de Campostella to the Shrine of Saint James.  Their Majesties thanked her for her research and called forth the companions of the Order of the Whitehorn who had worked on this station of the pilgrimage, His Majesty spoke for the Equestrian community and Baroness Anne Eisenkopf spoke for the Thrown weapons community, they explained that the Order of the White Horn covers the martial specialties of Thrown weapons, Equestrian, siege weapons and combat archery.  They then presented cast tokens made by the Hand of THLord Constantine of clan Blackheart to all those gentles who attended the station.

Their Majesties called forward the Members of the Order of the Scarlet Guard who had run a pilgrimage station that day as well.  THLord Fintan na Coilled and Master Jacopo di Niccolo spoke on behalf of he order saying that this day the order had hosted an open range to display the talents of the order.  Participants who came to the range learned to shoot, tune their bow, make and repair arrows, and other sundry skills essential to the archery range.  They invited forward all members who learned on the range that day to come forward and receive tassel tokens made by the hand of THLord Fintan, and Her Majesty presented a red hood to the youth who participated in these stations of the pilgrimage.
Their Majesties invited Lord Dirk Bodkin the Sharp to attend Them and charged him with a chest of toys and instructed all the youth present to seek him out and choose a toy from its contents.
Their Majesties announced that They had Reached an agreement with Their Majesties Dag and AnneMarie of the Middle Kingdom and so proclaimed that Lady Brighid ingean Diarmata, Benjamin McDougal, Elizabeth Edward, and Magdalena von Meike were now the newest citizens of Aethelmearc.

Their Majesties further announced to the populace Their Thanks to Lady Marija Kotok and the Sylvan Glen Scriptorium who had completed a packet of scrolls and scroll blanks to be given as largess presents to the Kingdom of Gleann Abhann.

Count Jehan de la Marche was given the Aethelmearc Award of Excellence in absentia for his submission to Their Majesties’ call to arms based on the sermon of Pope Urban II at Clermont in which he called the first crusade to arms.

Faolan Dubh MacLochlainn was awarded arms for his service as feast cook, fencer, and teacher of new fencers, herald and guard for the Barony of Blackstone Mountain, always willing to share a story of slice of cheesecake.  Scroll limned by lady Kazi enkazi with calligraphy by THLord Cadell Blaidd du.

Their Majesties awarded arms in absentia to Gundemar Olafson called Beaver.  They had heard of his years of service on the battlefield as a member of the Company of the Sable Maul, even taking on leadership in the household and cooking for the camp.  Scroll by Lady Helene al-Zarqa.

Hugh of York was awarded arms in absentia for his enthusiasm in attending events, often travelling far to be found assisting in set up and tear down, he has even researched a name and device for himself.  Scroll calligraphed by Mistress Gillian Llwelyn.
Their Majesties inducted Lady Yndridr Yngvarsdottir into the Order of the Keystone in Absentia for her long service as chronicler, chirurgeon, and waterbearer, serving at the Chalkman Pub at Pennsic with a smile.  Scroll embroidered on Silk by Lady Ysabeau Tiercelin.

Their Majesties summoned Lord Bjorn Bunhaus Olafsson before Them and Inducted him into the Order of the Keystone for his service as an officer to the Shire of Misty Highlands, serving as webminister, deputy exchequer, archery marshal, and thrown weapons marshal.  He further served on the Queen’s guard, makes scrolls and award medallions, and autocrats events.  Scroll by Lady Marija Kotok.

Their Majesties read a scroll commemorating THLord Gareth Kincaid’s induction into the Order of he Sycamore into the record, made by Lady Ismay Ponde, upon a text by Count Jehan de la Marche.

Lord Dagr Snaebjorn Bjarnarsson was inducted into the Order of the Golden Alce in Absentia for his prowess in heavy weapons and teaching the skills of battle to new fighters.  Scroll by Lady Helene Al-Zarqa.

Lord Grimnar Lakverson was inducted into the Order of the Golden Alce in absentia for his 5 years of experience on the heavy weapons field fighting with Sable Maul.  Scroll limned by THLord Caoinlean Seanchaidh called Tower, calligraphy by Mistress Cynthia Love of the Tower, upon a text by Lady Katerina de la Marne and Lord Kenn the Just.

Their Majesties summoned Their Order of the Millrind and had the members of that order bear witness to new additions to the order.  Lady Bera of Tavastland was inducted into the Order of the Millrind in absentia for her service as the lifeblood of the Shire of Sylvan Glen, recruiting and transporting new members, service as herald, seneschale, youth marshal, autocrat, working on scrolls, and volunteering at heralds point at Pennsic.  Scroll by Lady Vivienne of Yardley.

Their Majesties further inducted Lady Hrefna Ulfvarinnsdottir into the Order of the Millrind in Absentia for her long service as autocrat having run the siege of Glengary event 4 times, serving as Sylvan Glen Chronicler and guest editor for the Arts and Sciences Aestel, and overall seeing to the health of the shire of Sylvan Glen. Their Majesties spoke to the assembled populace, that They had been very impressed by the tournaments of the day and how they exemplify the ideal that the goal is not merely to win and who won and lost, but weighs nearly as heavily upon the chivalry that each combatant displays upon the field.  Their Majesties spoke of Gulf Wars and that they looked to field and army of over 30 fighters, and over 50 members total had pledged to go on the Crusade.  This represents the largest force that has ever left Aethelmearc for any foreign war.  Their Majesties were truly touched by the generosity of the kingdom in this venture, They had received gas cards to feed the caravans of vehicles on the trip, and even plane tickets to transport more people to the war.  Their Majesties spoke briefly of the arts and how They wish to see the arts flourish in all areas of the kingdom and urged the populace to foster the arts wherever they can.

Reglindis of Port Oasis was called before Their Majesties and They presented her to the Popualce as Lady Reglindis, awarding her arms for her skills in sewing garb and beading, and upon the Fencing field. Scroll in Progess, words by THLord Brandubh Ó Donnghaile.

Their Majesties called forth Annora Draper and awarded arms unto her for her skills at archery and sewing garb, and for her services as autocrat and Chatelaine of the Shrie of Port Oasis.  Scroll in progress with words by THLord Brandubh Ó Donnghaile.

Luca de Cola was awarded arms for her researching and publishing articles in the Arts and Sciences Aestel, skills on the fencing field, assistance in kitchens, and just being an extra pair of hands wherever one was needed.  Scroll in Progress with words by THLord Brandubh Ó Donnghaile.

Their Majesties called forward Lady Rosalinda of Port Oasis called Mama Rosa and Lord Wulfstan the Wise and created both of them companions o the Order of the Cornelian for their grace and voice of reason even as he tides of drama rise in the shire, they have been able to calm so many situations, and make everyone feel welcome.  Scrolls to be forthcoming, words by THLord Brandubh Ó Donnghaile.

Their Majesties called THLord Georg Eisenfaust and Lady Rhiannon of Ravenglass before Them.   They bestowed the Aethelmearc Award of Excellence on Lady Rhio for her efforts going above and beyond expectations to insure that Their Majesties’ ladrgess pouches were always filled with gifts to give and making sure that Their Majesties always ha whatever They needed, be it band aids, or safety pins.  Their Majesties also Bestowed the Aethelmearc Award of Excellence to Georg for his inspirational performance in the Tournament of the day, in which he helped us all celebrate the life of the late Lord Eogan Cu, as he had been a great supporter of this event in his life.

Their Majesties thanked all for contributing to the event and insuring that everyone present enjoyed the event.
