The Report of the Court of Their Royal Majesties, Henri et Elena, Roi et Reine d’Aethelmearc, held on the 10th Day of April A.S. 44 at Aethelmearc Coronation in the Shire of Misty Highlands, Their Royal Highneses, Malcolm and Tessa, Prince and Princess of Aethelmearc and the assembled Landed Nobility of Aethelmearc in attendance, THLord Brandubh Ó Donnghaile, Silver Buccle, with the assistance of THLord Cadell Blaidd du.

Their Majesties invited Baron William de Montegilt to attend Them.  Baron William announced that is was with a heavy heart that he must announce that The College of Cour d’Or has entered a period of dormancy.  His Majesty thanked all those who had served the College of Cour d’Or over the years, and who had worked to keep the College alive for so long.

Lady Sabrina Godolphin was called before Their Majesties and presented a scroll in commemoration of her induction into the Order of the Keystone by Rurik and Angelik.  Scroll by THLady Anlaith ingen Trena.

Their Majesties called Lady Catriona ingen ui Bhraonnain and Lord Cinnion map Liuelin map Hiugel to attend Them.  They thanked Their Majesties for recognizing their relatives as subjects of the kingdom of Aethelmearc and wished to pay their taxes in the form of a fine Holstein cow.

Their Majesties then Awarded Arms in Absentia to Barbara of Hyeholde.  Lady Barbara is the mundane owner of the Hyeholde Restaurant and has opened her doors to the SCA.  Further more Their Majesties granted her permission to crenulate and fortify her castle in defense of the realm.  Scroll limned by The Sylvan Glen Scriptorium and calligraphed by Mistress Gillian Llwelyn.

Their Majesties bestowed the Aethelmearc Award of Excellence in absentia to Baroness Bricca de Ghelere of the Kingdom of Trimaris for her work at Gulf Wars coordinating the food plan and cooking dinner for the army of Aethelmearc every night.

Lady Nivah Catherine Rose of Bannockburn was awarded the Aethelmearc Award of Excellence in Absentia for extensive service and generosity during the reign, supplying items for gift baskets and largess.

Their Majesties bestowed the Aethelmearc Award of Excellence upon Maestra Giulietta da Venezia for her most amusing call to arms, composed in response to His Majesty’s challenge.

THLord Cadell Blaidd du was called before Their Majesties and inducted into the Order of the Cornelian for his quick wit, and gentle joy, always ready with a gracious giggle and a sense of Chivalry and Pomp. Scroll by Mistress Rose Marion of Edgewater.

Lord Corbinus de Cuvis was called into court and inducted into the Order of the Keystone for his service as a marshal, autocrat, on the Queen’s Guard and as the deputy seneschal of the Barony of Delftwood.  Scroll by Lady Helene al-Zarqa.

Their Majesties called the Order of the White Scarf to attend Them.  They then called Lord Ivan Piotrovic Pevcov forward and inducted him into the Order of the White Scarf, for his skills on the field of rapier combat, serving as a past Queen’s Champion, and for his teaching and raising an army in the College of Vulcan’s Forge teaching both melee and tournament tactics.  Scroll limned by Baroness Katryne de Bakestonden and calligraphed by Mistress Ekaterina Volkova.

Their Majesties called Bran Mac Simmain and Vilhjalmr Eðvarðarson forward.  His Majesty told the young men that as he had promised at the Feast of the Seven Deadly Sins, He had carried their banners on His Spear, and that one from his household had carried their two banners at every battle at Gulf Wars.  However, He had returned alive, so they could not have His Arms.  But in thanks for their banners, Their Majesties presented the two boys with favors from Their Majesties of Trimaris.

Their Majesties then presented Sigils of Aethelmearc to Duke Christopher Rawlins, Duchess Morgan of Rye, Mistress Allesandra d'Avignon, Viscount Syr Bear the Wallsbane, Countess Caryl Ollesdater, Countess Branwyn ferch Gwythyr, Countess Liadain ni Dheirdre Chaomhanaogh, Household of the Crimson Fist of Trimaris, Baron Gunnar of the Endless Hills, Baroness Barbary Rose, Baroness Anastasie de lamoure, Lord Po Silvertop, Don Corwin Montgomery, Lord Madison Morai, Lady Stasha Sebastyn, THLord Gareth Kincaid, Don Anais Fenn, Lady Gabrielle de Winter, THLord Brandubh O'Donnghaile, THLady Katla Ulfhedinn, Lord Karsten the Black, Baron Rodrigo de la Vega, Baroness Rynea Ingen of Stormsport, Lord Kvack, THLord Robert Marsden, Baroness Ariella of Thornbury, Baron Byron of Haverford, Master Huon Damebrigge,  Lady Aibell ingen Chernachain, THLady Myfanwy ferch Rhiannon, Mistress Miriam Meggett, Lord William Paris, Lord Juan Miguel Cezar, Lady Maria Aragones, and THLord Urho Walterinnen for their service to Their Reign.

Their Majesties Invited Mistress Miriam Meggett to stay for just a moment longer.  They thanked her for her outstanding service to Their reign, serving as head retainer and keeper of schedules, and as a token of such thanks, They presented her with an embroidered gauntlet.

Their Majesties invited Their Heir, Prince Malcolm MacEoghainn to attend Them.  His Highness stated that as is the rule of law, Their Majesties’ time on the Throne had come to an end, and so He had come to claim his right to the throne.  Their Majesties replied that they had some business yet to settle and asked His Highness to await its conclusion. 

The Officers of the Realm stood to verify that the rule of law was followed.  Baron William de Montegilt, the Kingdom Seneschal, verified that law was understood by the entrants.  Sir Tristen Sexwulf, the Earl Marshal, verified that the rules of the list were obeyed.  THLord Brandubh O’Donghaile, Silver Buccle Herald, verified that Sir Malcolm had indeed won the tournament, and that it was now his time to ascend to the throne of Aethelmearc.

Their Majesties stood and thanked the Landed Nobles of Aethelmearc for their attendance and dismissed them from Their court.

Their Majesties next called Their Retainers and Guards forward and released them from their oaths, presented them with tokens of thanks, and collected their regalia.  His Majesty charged them with one final task, to escort Her Majesty from the court.

His Majesty Henri turned to Her Majesty Elena, and thanked her for all She had given to the Kingdom of Aethelmearc and all that She had taught Him during the reign.  He then took the crown of Aethelmearc from Her head and dismissed Her to the keeping of Her Guards.

His Majesty then called forth His Heir, Prince Malcolm, once more to attend.  His Majesty Henri presented His Highness Malcolm with a pair of gauntlets bearing the royal arms of Aethelmearc.  Henri then presented the Sword of State to Prince Malcolm.  His Highness in turn called for Count Jehan de la Marche to attend Him and take possession of the Sword of State as the Principle of the Order of the Chivalry of Aethelmearc.  His Majesty Henri then removed the Crown from His head and placed the Crown of Aethelmearc upon the head of Malcolm, naming him 26th king of the Sylvan Kingdom.
