Canton of Steltonwald
Report of the Court of Their Royal Majesties, Malcolm and Tessa, King
and Queen of Aethelmearc held at the 21st War Practice in the Canton of
Steltonwald on 22nd day of May Anno Societatis xxxxv, Their Royal
Highnesses, Duncan and Ilish, Prince and Princess of Aethelmearc and
Their Excellencies, Byron and Ariella, Baron and Baroness of the
Debatable Lands in attendance, THLord Brandubh Ó Donnghaile,
Silver Buccle, with the assistance of Baroness Gwendolyn the Graceful.
Their Excellencies, Byron and Ariella, awarded THLord Brada Aethelward
a Comet Vert for his continual support as a friend of the Barony-Marche
of the Debatable Lands.
Their Excellencies presented THLord Cadell Blaidd du with a Comet
Azure-Argent for his support of I Genesii.
Their Excellencies awarded the Comet Gules to Master Alaric MacConnal
for his rising skills in Archery and thrown weapons.
Their Excellencies presented a Comet Or to THLady Hilderun Hugelmann
for her services a Seneschal of the Debatable Lands.
Their Excellencies, Byron and Ariella, thanked Their Majesties for
allowing them to conduct this business in Their Court.
Their Majesties received the Oath of Fealty of Baron Caleb Reynolds for
the Barony of the Rhydderich Hael.
Their Majesties called Kay forward and His Majesty swore him to defend
Her Majesty’s person and invested him as a member of the Queen’s Guard.
Mistress Jenna MacPherson and Mistress Arianna of Wynthrope were called
forward as the youth marshals of the day. They presented prizes
to the captains of the 4 man melee teams from the day’s tourney.
First place went to Lord Rouland of Willowbrooke, second prize went to
Aaron the Swift. They continued that they also had prizes to
recognize the most chivalrous on the lists, and present these prizes to
Shaun and Gwen Telynores.
Their Majesties had been quite impressed by the prowess of the youth
fighters that day and so they inducted Torstein Thorgrimsson,
Gwen Telynores and Jacob of the Debatable Lands in to the Order of the
Silver Alce for their accomplishments in the youth boffer list.

Legros, Yvonne Dionne, and Marie Dionne.
THLord Urho Waltterinen was invited forward to prevent the results from
this season’s Gwyntarian Winter Archery Challenge. Urho was proud
to announce that 3 of the top six scores submitted this year were from
Aethelmearc and 4 of the top twelve scores were from Aethelmearc, and
that Aethelmearc had tied for second most archers contributing.
He announced that those four archers in the top 12 were Maestra Gianna
di Aurelio, THLord Brandubh O’Donnghaile, Maestro Jacopo di Niccolo and
THLord Urho Waltterinen. Additionally Maestro Jacopo had submitted the
highest score in Longbow for this year by a margin of 65 points, and
Robert of the Debatable Lands had submitted the highest score for the
youth ten yard by a margin of 15 points, and Urho presented the both of
them with a silver and amber arrowhead pendant.
Their Majesties invited Maestra Tomasia da Collevento was invited
forward to speak for the Wooden Pin competition. This year there had
been 3 entrants, THLady Odriana vander Brugghe, THLady Hilderun
Hugelmann, and Lord Liam Mac an Tsaoir. Maestra Tomasia presented
each of them with a token of the wooden pin, and announced that the
highest score had been achieved by THLady Odriana.
Their Majesties invited Baroness Ariella of Thornbury to speak on the 7
Pearls heavy weapons championship tourney that had been held that
day. Baroness Ariella announced that Lord Tigernach mac Cathail
had proven the victor of the baronial champions on the field that
representing the Barony of the Endless Hills.
Their Majesties invited the envoys of Their Noble Cousins the King and
Queen of Atlantia to enter Their Court, however, it turned out that the
envoys had not been given any message to convey. Their Majesties
then replied that they would have to think long and hard to consider
what response should then be sent.
Freifrau Fredeburg von Katzenellenbogen was called forward as the
Kingdom Arts and Sciences Champion. A competition had been held
that day, and all the entrants were called forward, Baron Caleb
Reynolds, Dona Sasha Grey, Baroness Betha of Bedford, Lord Bovi
Farmadr, Kaylee, and Raven Whitehart. Their Majesties announced
that many fine works had been entered, but in the end They declared
that they would have two champions this reign. His Majesty
announced that his champion would be Dona Sasha Grey for the
illuminated scrolls that she entered, and Her Majesty announced that
Baroness Betha of Bedford would be her Champion for the jewelry that
she entered.
Their Majesties inducted Lord Madison Morai into the Order of he Golden
Alce for his rapid rise in skills on the heavy weapons field.

Viscountess Judith of Kirtland was invited forward and presented a
scroll by the hands of Master Creature Twyne Dragon to commemorate her
being named 28th Jewel of Aethelmearc.
Their Majesties invited Sir Angus MacBain to attend Them. They
inducted him into the Order of the Millrind for his efforts in
fostering the youth combat program and many offices in the Shire of
Sunderoak. Promissory scroll limned by Baroness Boudiccea
Ravenhair and scrivened by Baroness Ekaterina Volkova.
Baron Caleb Reynolds was called forward and inducted into the Order of
the Millrind for his many years of service to the marshallate in
Fencing, Thrown Weapons and Archery, serving as seneschal of the

THLord Urho Walterinnen was called forth and inducted into the Order of
the Millrind for his service a captain of archers for the Debatable
Lands, event cook, constantly helping especially on the archery fields

Their Majesties summoned the members of the Sylvan Glen Scriptorium
present to attend Them. They commented that already in this court
many fine works of by the august group had been distributed and that it
was time to recognize them further by inducting the Sylvan Glen
Scriptorium into the Order of the Sycamore. Words by Baroness

Their Majesties announced that letters were satisfied between the
crowns of the Midrealm and Aethelmearc, and that Sakeme Hiyo, his Lady
Diana, and Calina were all proclaimed subjects of the realm of
Aethelmearc.
Duke Chritopher Rawlins and Duchess Morgen of Rye presented a war
banner to the kingdom of Aethelmearc for use upon the battlefield that
they had painted with the aid of Lady Lantani da Forez, Mistress Kris
Gilibari, Lady Anna Malakina, Lady Elaine Fairchilde, Baroness Cecily
of Whitehaven, Sir Maghnaus de Cnoc an Iora, Dona Illadore de
Bedegrayne, Lady Cailyn, Sir Magariki Katsuichi no Koredono, Sharon,
and Lady Rosalia Iuliana Andere.
Their Majesties inducted Lord Reynard le Vavasseur into the Order of
the Sycamore for his skills in leather carving producing many leather
tokens, pouches and coronets for the crown to distribute. Scroll

Their Majesties presented THLord Malcolm MacAngus of Kinross with a
scroll commemorating his induction into the Order of the Fleur
d’Aethelmearc by the hands of Lady Sthurrim Caithnes with words by
Mistress Gillian Llwelyn.
Their Majesties called THLady Ysabell Graver forward as the autocrat
for the event. Ysabell thanked all who came and thanked her staff
without whom she would not have been able to put on the event.
She announced some items of lost and found.
Their Majesties wished to thank the choir and musicians for providing
music for Their Court, and the Tribe of Tuatha Fieren for their
Fundraising efforts.
Their Majesties summoned Baron Stevan Ulfkellson into Their
presence. Stevan was inducted into the Order of the Fleur
d’Aethelmearc for his skill in wood working especially the research

Their Majesties thanked the populace and hoped that hey had enjoyed he
day, now that War Practice was 21, the Drinking light was officially
lit.
