Coppertree Challenge
Shire of Coppertree
Report of the Court of Her Majesty Tessa, Queen of Aethelmearc, held at
the Coppertree Challenge event in the Shire of Coppertree on the 12th
day of June a.s. xlv, Their Excellencies Edward and Anastasie, Baron
and Baroness of Delftwood, and Their Excellencies Gunnar and Barbary
Rose, Baron and Baroness of the Endless Hills, in attendance, THLord
Brandubh Ó Donnghaile, Silver Buccle.
Her Majesty invited Their Excellencies of Delftwood and the Endless
Hills to join her in court. She expressed concern that there had
been some conflicts between he two groups that day, but Their
Excellencies assured Her that all hostilities were behind them and had
been settled on the field.
Lord Gwydeon of Arden was called forward and invested as a member of
Her Majesty’s Guard.
Her Majesty invited Baroness Anastasie de Lamoure to attend
Her. She spoke of news that had reached Her that She not
only serves her barony as Baroness, but also as Minister of Arts and
Sciences and as Thrown Weapons Marshal. For her services to
Thrown weapons and coordinating Arts and Sciences meetings, displays
and competitions, Her Majesty inducted her into the Order of the
Keystone. Scroll by Mistress Gillian Llwelyn.
Her Majesty Next Spoke to Baron Edward Harbinger. She had heard
of his labors as a travelling marshal for archery, thrown weapons and
Youth combat. He had toiled to bring new life into the archery
community of Delftwood and taught fletching and leatherworking.
For this She inducted him into the Order of the Keystone. Scroll

Her Majesty then invited the Autocrats of the event, Mistress Mathilde
des Pyrenees and THLady Rowena ni Dhonnchaidh, to address the
populace. They announced the winners for the competitions of the
day. For the Heavy Weapons melee teams the Barony of the Endless
Hills had won, and they presented a scroll and gift certificate to
Their Excellencies Gunnar and Barbary Rose. For Archery Lord Hobb
of the barony of Concordia won, and was presented a scroll and gift
certificate. For fencing Don Benedict Fergus atte Mede had won
for the barony of Delftwood and was presented with a scroll and 5 yards
of linen. For Thrown Weapons Lord Hobb of Concordia had won and
was presented a scroll and a ring. For Arts and Sciences Baron
Artemius Andreas Magnus had won for Delftwood and was presented a
scroll and gift basket. Gift baskets were further presented to
Mistress Roberta McMorland and Edana of Coppertree for second place,
Lady Elyes le Bref for 3rd place and Lady Helene al-Zarqa for 4th
place. The children had competed in shepherding, and Isabella for
Delftwood had retrieved 21 sheep to win and was presented with a scroll
and cookies. The volunteering had been won by Delftwood, and
Their Excellencies Edward and Anastasie were presented with a scroll
and bookplates.
The overall winner was then declared as the barony of Delftwood, and
Their Excellencies Edward and Anastasie choose first from the Booty
chests, leaving Their Excellencies Gunnar and Barbary Rose of the
Endless Hills to chose the remaining booty basket.
The Autocrats thanked all for coming and assisting this day and to Her
Majesty and Their Excellencies for supporting the event.
The Autocrats then announced that the raffle of the day had raised $320
for the royal travel fund, and asked Her Majesty to select a ticket for
he winner of the tourney shade made by THLady Rowena ni
Donnchaidh. Her Majesty then announced that Baroness Barbary Rose
of the Endless Hills had won the day shade.
Her Majesty thanked the autocrats and their staff for holding the
wonderful event. That while His Majesty sojourned to the Midrealm
to fight with our allies for War, she had come to fight with the armies
of Aethelmearc. She thanked all those who served at the event and
invited the populace to seek her out after court and receive spear
pennants for War.
The Autocrats asked the assistance of the populace in moving benches
back prior to feast.
