The Report of the Court of Their Royal Majesties Malcolm and Tessa, King and Queen of Aethelmearc, held at the Summer AEethelmearc Academy on the 26th day of June anno societatis xxxxv in the Shire of Abhainn Ciach Ghlais, THLord Brandubh Ó Donnghaile, Silver Buccle.

Morning Court.

Her Majesty invited Master Gille MacDhonuill to enter Her court, and he requested Her leave to conduct some business.  Her Majesty then summoned THLord Victor of Shrewsbury to Her.  Master Gille took the green belt from about THLord Victor’s waist, as he was to make a decision this afternoon and Master Gille would have him face this choice as his own free man, and THLord Victor thanked Master Gille for the years of instruction that he had given him.  Her Majesty then called for the Members of the Order of the Laurel to attend and charged them to take Victor to Vigil and council him about the peerage.

The Chancellor of the Academy wished it known that the classes scheduled for the Garden Area had been moved to the Dungeon area in the Basement.

Evening Court.

Their Majesties Awarded Arms to Jacqueline Molier for her skills in embroidery and cooking, and for her services as tollner and hall decorator at events. Scroll limned by the Two Turnbulls and scrivened by Dame George Anne upon a text by His Majesty King Malcolm MacEoghainn.

Lord Nanzydon the Traveller was admitted entrance into the Order of the Sycamore in absentia for his research into Pictish personae, and his skills at woodworking, carving and turning feast wear items and construction a ballista.  Scroll by Lady Margaret Stewart Quinn with calligraphy by Dame George Anne.

Their Majesties inducted Lady Aibell ingen Diarmata into the Order of the Sycamore for her skills in teaching dance, as a member of the cooks guild and in sewing.  Scroll by Baroness Barbary Rose upon a text by Lord Po Silvertop the Rogue.

Lord Aimeric de Miraval was inducted into the Order of the Sycamore for his musical skills, playing his vihuela to the delight of many fine gentles for dance and at vigils.  Aimeric had also been witnessed in the cooks guild, and as a member of the Cave Canum acting troupe, writing articles for the newsletter, and even organizing classes for the Shire’s Arts and Sciences gatherings.  Scroll by Lady Felicitas Flussmullnerin.

Their Majesties called Lady Brygida Zajachowa forward and praised her efforts as head cook for the event, but beyond her services in the cooks guild, she was also a performer and the director of the Cave Canum acting Troupe, and a story teller.  But further she sews, and helps newcomers to sew their garb, and practices finger loop braiding.  For all of these diverse arts, Their Majesties inducted her into the Order of the Sycamore.  Scroll by THLady Keran Roslin with calligraphy by Dame George Anne.

Lady Livia Valentini was called in from the list field where she had been packing away pavilions.  Their Majesties noted that they had heard that she often engaged in this sort of activities while others rested.  They had heard that she was the Chatelaine of the Shire and that she autocrated events, and mentored new autocrats while looking after new comers.  For these services Their Majesties inducted her into the Order of the Keystone.  Scroll by Lady Vivienne of Yardley.

Their Majesties called forth Lord Ciaran O’Tighearnaigh and inducted him into the Order of the Sycamore for his talents in the Abhainn Ciach Ghlais Cooks guild.  He specialized in making illusion foods, and his vegetables made of meat had especially pleased Their Majesties.  He further specialized in open fire cooking, and was always willing to talk to newcomers about the art of medieval cookery.  Scroll limned by Lady Gwenhwyvar Morwyn and scrivened by Mistress Alessandra d’Avignon.

THLady Keran Roslin was called forth and inducted into the Order of the Millrind for her many years of service to the Shire of Sterynge Vayle as Chronicler and Chatelaine.  She has been a frequent maker of scroll blanks, Pennsic Land agent for her group, and putting the finishing touches on events.  Scroll by Baroness Barbary Rose.

Their Majesties called forward THLord Victor of Shrewsbury, Maitre Gilles de Beauchamps heralded him into Their Majesties presence as he was escorted by his fellow members of the Abhainn Ciach Ghlais Cooks Guild.  Their Majesties asked if was prepared and he replied that it would be his honor to be elevated to the Order of the Laurel as Their Majesties wished.  Their Majesties invited the Companions of the Order of the Laurel to attend and bear witness, and called for testimony of those who would speak for his man.  Viscountess Rosalinde Ashworth spoke for the Royal peers, Master Wulfgar of the Wood of the East Kingdom sent words from the Order of the Chivalry read by Master Egill the Dane, Mistress Cori Ghora spoke for the Order of the Laurel and Master Dennis the Decadent spoke for the Order of the Pelican.  Their Majesties then called for regalia to mark Victor as a peer of the realm.  A hood of embroidered Laurel leaves was placed on his shoulders, and a wreath set upon his brow and Medallion hung from his neck that had both been owned by his Lady, Mistress Alienora Russeal, and he was passed he Ancestral Fruitcake.  Their Majesties then received his Oath of service to the Kingdom, and he was bid to join his fellows in the Order of the Laurel.  Scroll by the hand of Viscountess Rosalinde Ashworth with calligraphy by Master Jonathan Blacstan of the East.

Their Majesties invited Mistress Alicia Langland and Mistress Cori Ghora to conduct some business.  Mistress Alicia had set forth a challenge as region 3 Arts and Sciences deputy to the teachers from region 3 to teach new classes.  She wished to recognize Lady Lantani de Forez who taught her second class at the Academy at that day, and THLord Thorvaaldr Frirsverth who had taught 2 new classes that day. Mistress Cori had set a similar challenge to the teachers of region 4.  She recognized Lady Alicia Hennenberg who had taught a brand new class that day, and presented a gift to the teachers from the Barony of Thescorre who had traveled down together to present their classes.  Mistress Alicia further gave gifts to all the gentles who had entered the Arts an Sciences display, and asked Their Majesties to deliver a gift to Comtesse Elena d’Artois as she had travelled to teach her first class that day.

Their Majesties then invited the Chancellor of the Aethelmearc, Mistress Juliana Delamere and The Arts and Sciences Minister, Mistress Elisabeth Johanna von Flossenburg to address the populace.  They wished to thank all the teachers and present gifts to all who taught made by Master Egill the Dane, Lord Gilchrist NacNaughton and Lady Jacqueline Molier.  They thanked Mistress Alicia Langland for her support, Lady Brygida Zajachowa for cooking, and Lady Rhenna de an t’Eilen Dubh for autocratting.  They both announced that both of their terms expired at Kingdom 12th Night, and that the next session of Academy would be hosted in Sylvan Glen in October and would be an interkingdom event,  and spoke of a November academy to be held in Thescorre.

Lady Rhenna de an t’Eilne Dubh was invited forward as the autocrat of the day.  She wished to thank the members of the Shire of Abainn Ciach Ghlais for making the event come together, especially Lady Brygida Zajachowa for cooking, Master Egill the Dane, Lord Gilchrist NacNaughton and Lady Jacqueline Molier for making the teacher gifts, and Master Thorstein Christianson Ronnow for making the site tokens.

Their Majesties thanked all ho came and taught, those who came to attend classes, and those who worked to put the event together.  They further noted that Mistress Aleea Baga was selling Tshirts in the back of the hall to raise money for the replacement hiers thrones.
