The
Report of the court of Their Royal Majesties Malcolm and Tessa, King
and Queen
of Aethelmearc held at the 39th Pennsic War held from the 8th
through the 13th days of August anno societatis 45, Their
Highnesses
Duncan and Ilish, Prince and Princess of Aethelmearc, and the landed
nobility
of Aethelmearc in attendance, THLord Brandubh Ó Donnghaile,
Silver Buccle, with
the assistance of Lord Malcolm fitz William and THLord Robert O’Connor.
Sunday
morning August 8 in Aethelmearc Royal Camp prior to Opening Ceremonies.
Their
Majesties welcomed Their populace who had joined Them to take the field
and
welcome the known world to Aethelmearc.
Their Majesties reminded al that this war is in Aethelmearc and
we will
hold this land throughout the war.
Their
Majesties called for Their Bardic Champion Lady Brigette de Sainte
Mere-Eglise
to Them. They thanked her for her
service and called forth Master Michael Mcphe and Lady Dearbhforgaill
an
Chomhaidh and named them the Sylvan Bards of Aethelmearc and Charged
them with
leaded the armies of Aethelmearc onto the field in song.
Mistress
Alison of the many Isles was called forth and issued a writ to consult
with the
Order of the Pelican and reply back to Their majesties at Court on
Wednesday as
to whether she would accept entrance into the Order of the Pelican.
Her
Majesty then invited all to attend Her in Aethelmearc Royal Camp after
opening
ceremonies that she might pass out Her Queen’s Favors.
Monday
morning August 9 at the Aethelmearc pavilion on the Battlefield.
Their
Majesties invited the members of the Incipient College of Vulcan’s
Forge to
attend Them. Dona Illadore de Bedegrayne
presented each of them with a shield and tasked them with functioning
as the
shield wall for the upcoming rapier battle.
Dona Illadore also presented a shield to His Majesty for his use
during
the battle.
Duchess
Dorinda Courtenay was invited before Their Majesties, she asked
permission to
distribute favors to the fencing army as she did each year, but Their
Majesties
denied her this request as They had business with her.
They noted her skills with rapier, teaching
and fostering this marshal art, and called upon Their Order of the
White
Scarf. Master Iago Benitez presented
Dorinda with several White scarves and Their Majesties inducted her
into the

Wednesday
afternoon August 11 on the Youth Field
Her
Majesty Tessa passed out favors to all the youths who fought in the Tag
Team
tourney that day.
His
Majesty spoke of what an inspiration it was to him to see such a large
gathering of youth here on the field, and thanked all the adults who
fought along
side them and trained and inspired them to fight nobly and well.
Their
Majesties summoned Kenneth of the Debatable Lands to Them.
They had been very impressed by his skills on
the boffer list and had heard of his skills on the thrown weapons
range, and so

Wednesday
evening August 11 in the Barn.
Their Majesties invited representatives of the
Barony of the Endless Hills to attend Them.
The Barony had completed a fundraiser and presented the proceeds
to the
kingdom coffers.
Angel
Deth was called forth and awarded arms for her battlefield support in
the
service of House Sablemaul and sewing banners, garb, tabards, and

Thornstein of Norseland was awarded arms for his work as a youth
marshal,
training new fighters and studies into the Viking arts.

THLord
Fiachra the Bonesetter was called forth and sent to sit vigil in
contemplation
of elevation to Order of the Laurel for his research in to herb lore
and
manufacturing tinctures and medicines.
He was ordered to appear before Their Majesties at Their court
on Friday
to answer whether he would accept elevation to the Order of the Laurel.
THLord
Fintan na Coilled, the Archer General, was called forth to speak for
the
Archery Champions Team, and presented arrow points to all the members
who had
represented Aethelmearc at the Archery Champions war point: Baron Caleb Reynolds, THLord Pearce Redsmythe,
THLord Cetach Fitzgibbon, Sotungui Batar Sogdo, Lord Ruland Burkhart,
Lord
Charles of Verona, THLord Fintan na Coilled, Lord Juan Miguel Cezar,
and THLord
Deryk Archer.
Their
Majesties awarded arms to Aife McCurrey for her labors as chronicler of

Majesties inducted Liam of Sylvan Glen into the Order of the Silver
Sycamore
for his skills in cooking and jewelry making.

labors for
the Barony of Delftwood serving as parking marshal, setting up the
feast hall
at Seven Deadly Sins, and serving quickly and effectively wherever

service to the

prepared
to accept elevation into the Order of the Laurel for her studies of
Norse arts. Their Majesties then invited
the members of

After hearing counsel from Duchess Amgelik Chastellain de
Beauvais the
royal peer, Duke Rurik Longsword for the Order of the Chivalry,
Mistress
Rhiannon y Bwa for the Order of the Laurel, and Mistress Constance
Waite for
the Order of the Pelican Their Majesties further heard poetry in praise
of
Marci from Master Isaac de Elford and Mistress Matilda Bosville de
Bella
Acqua. A cloak by the hands of Duchess
Angelik and Countess Genevieve du Vent Argent was presented to Marci, a
coif
embroidered of Laurel wreaths was placed on her head, Master Tofi
Kerthjalfadsson presented her with a glass bead of a laurel Wreath made
by
Fruthikona Hrefna inn heppna, And Master Victor of Shrewsbury presented
her
with the fruitcake. Their Majesties took

Alison of the Many Isles was called forth and asked if she were
prepared to
accept entrance into the Order of the Pelican for her long service to
the arts
in Aethelmearc. Duchess Morgen of Rye
and Duchess Rowan de la Garnison spoke as royal peers, Viscount Haakon
Oaktall
and Sir Aengus McBain spoke as Knights, MistressDaedez of the Moritu
and
Mistress Yvianne de Castel d’Avignon spoke as Laurels, and Master Devin
Adair
Bartholomy and Mistress Morgana bro Morganwg spoke as Pelicans. Master William de Montegilt reminded the
populace that Mistress Alison had created the heraldic kingdom banners
that
were displayed at the ceremonies at Pennsic.
Their Majesties passed the ancestral Pelican medallion to her,
and personal
medallion was presented on behalf of master Fridirkr Tomasson and
Mistress
Orianna Fridrikskona, and Mistress Peregrine of Thescorre presented a
pelican
hood. Mistress Alison then renewed her

Majesties reminded Their populace that they would hold another court on
Friday
at 3:oo in the Aethelmearc royal camp.
Thursday
Evening August 12 at Saint Swithin’s Bog Camp.
Their
Majesties called Baron Caoinlean Seanchaidh to attend Them. Their Majesties gave a book to Baron
Caoinlean and tasked him with a quest to fill the book with the words
of as
many Pelicans as he could to council him.
Their Majesties instructed him to then bring this book to Them
at the
Children’s Crusade Event, where they would weigh it’s contents to see
if they
are worthy for elevation into the Order of the Pelican.
Friday
morning August 13 on the battlefield.
Their
Majesties inducted Lord Grimbald Deth into the Order of the Golden Alce
for his
skills with heavy weapons in service to House Sablemaul and serving in
Her Majesty’s

Elena d’Artois was inducted into the Order of the Golden Alce for her
pursuits

Mistress Anne begged the boon to speak for he
apprentice THLord Fiachra the Bonesetter, and that she he still stood
in her
service. Their Majesties called forth
THLord Fiachra and Mistress Anne released him from her service and took
back
the green belt that he wore deeming his apprentice contract complete. Their Majesties called for witnesses to this
completion and Master Jacopo di Niccolo read he words of Duchess Maurya
Sabelswan, Sir Trelogin Tavistok spoke as a Knight, Master Emrys
Eustace spoke
as a Laurel, and Master Robert the Grey spoke as a Pelican. Their Majesties called fro regalia and
invested Fiachra with a hood, a medallion, a new belt, and promises
that a very
dry fruitcake would be delivered to him.
Their Majesties then received his oath of fealty.

did feed the whole court with fresh loaves brought up from the dust of
the
field.

Majesties awarded the Aethelmearc Award of Excellence to Duchess
Rustique du
Sorde, and presented her with a token for her labors as royalty liaison
for the
Pennsic War, acting as a calming voice and lending her temperance to
others for
years.
