The Report of the Court of Their Majesties Duncan and Ilish, King and Queen of Sylvan Aethelmearc held at the Second Vikings on the River event in the Shire of Riversedge on the second day of April anno societatis xxxxv, THLord Brandubh Ó Donnghaile, Silver Buccle.

Their Majesties called for a moment of silence for the loss of Mack Cooper of Coopers Lake.

Duke Rurik Longsword was invited forward as the autocrat of the day.  He thanked all for coming and enjoying the day that he and his staff had put together.  He especially thanked Mistress Marci of Hadley the cook who had prepared a sumptuous sideboard, and all the teachers and Lady Aelfgifu of the Glen for coordinating the classes and Arts and Sciences competition. 

Their Majesties invited Sir Stevan Ulfkellson to speak for the tournaments held that day.  The Iron Viking Challenge which consisted of Killing the Monks, Raiding the Abbey, navigating the Obstacle course with the booty, Axe Throwing and Combat Archery was won by THLord Gabriel Hawkes.  Sir Stevan presented THLord Gabriel with a horn carved by Lord Angus MacDubh for his feats of prowess.  Sir Stevan then announced that Eorl Eikbrandr Solgyafi had once again proved the victor in the Hjolmgangr tourney and presented him with a cloak of 9 ells by 9 ells, and a “relic” to carry back home with him.

Lady Aelfgifu of the Glen was then called forth and she thanked all of those who had taught classes for adding to the knowledge of the day.  She then announced that Lady Rhiannon of Ravenglass had won the Arts and Sciences Competition with her glass beads.

Her Majesty Ilish then called forth all who had taught classes and presented each with a token of appreciation for sharing their knowledge that day.

Their Majesties Awarded Arms to Olga Godunova in absentia for her prowess in the rapier list, winning second place in the Pennsic Novice Tourney.  Scroll by Pani Zofia Kowalewska.

Hraban von Aichenburg was Awarded Arms in absentia for his skills with heavy weapons, making his own garb and armor.  Scroll limned by Dame George Anne, and Scrivened by THLord Cadell Blaidd du.

Their Majesties inducted Lord Olafr the Mercenary into the Order of the Keystone in absentia for his service at events, and opening his home to his shire for Thrown Weapons Practice.  Scroll Limned by Lady Ismay Ponde and scrivened by THLord Cadell Blaidd du.

Their Majesties summoned Hersir Torvaldr Torgarson to attend Them.  They had seen much of his work, but had found him to be elusive.  They appreciated his artistic works in leather and the battle testred works of leather armor, and also his gentler nature as a Skald, creating Norse verse, and teaching of his poetry.  For all this Their Majesties were pleased to induct him into the Order of the Sycamore.  Scroll by Lady Isabella and Lord Jacques of Sylvan Glen.

Herr Joseph Kildonan was inducted into the Order of the Golden Alce in absentia for his skills upon the rapier field, even going so far as to win the Queen’s Champion tournament and serve as Countess Liadian’s champion.  Scroll by Lady Helene al-Zarqa.

Lady Alana Griffin was inducted into the Order of the Golden Alce in absentia for her long years of activity in archery.  Through various personal ailments and adversities this lady persevered and continues to love the sport of Archery.  Scroll by THLady Ysabeau Tiercelin.

Hrafna-Erlender inn Raudi was Awarded Arms in absentia for his many years of service to the society from his days in the former shire of Robledal to his present in the Debatable Lands, Hrafna-Erlender has been serving in kitchens and helping at events, even holding the office of Arts and Sciences Minister, and being an active participant at demos.  Scroll by Sir Sextus Plinius Callidus.

Lord Aodhan McMichael was inducted into the Order of the Golden Alce in absentia for his years of experience on the battle fields at the Pennsic Wars, especially leading combat archery units in the melees.  Scroll by Mistress Gillian Llwelyn.

Their Majesties Awarded Arms to Godfrey the Vigilant in absentia for his skill as a heavy weapons fighter and his skills in working leather to make armor.  He uses his mundane work skills to treat injuries of his fellow fighters.  Scroll by Lady Isabetta Orsini with words by Baron Caleb Reynolds.

Their Majesties called forth Lady Rhiannon of Ravenglass, Lady Aelfgifu of the Glen, Duchess Angelik de Beauvais, THLady Katla Ulfhedinn, and Lady Geirdis Riurikova to attend Them.  They thanked the Ladies for their generosity in the support of Their Reign.  These ladies had donated items to get the armoies fo Aethelmearc to Gulf Wars, and for the support of the Crown, by giving gifts for largess, contributing tokens, assisting with the children, and contributing to and running fundraisers.  For this Their Majesties thanked them.

Nikolai was called forth and Awarded Arms for his many years of labors in following Duke Rurik around Pennsic and assisting in the setup of 1500 Hay Bales, 200 Tables and 1500 Chairs.  Additionally he had retained for the royalty, and worked set up and tear down at every event he attends.  Scroll by Lady Aibell Shuluaine.

Their Majesties called for Thorbrand as he had been seen everywhere with his friend Nikolai, assisting with the set up of the Pennsic Tables, Chairs and Hay Bails, as well as assisting at local events.  For this Their Majesties Awarded him Arms.  Scroll by Lady Mairghread ui Stilbhard uu Coinn.

Lady Thyri Erbewyf was inducted into the Order of the Sycamore in absentia for her her skills research and teaching of herbalism, weaving, spinning, felting, sewing, stained glass, and wire weaving, and using these skills to win the Kingdom Arts and Sciences Champion.  Scroll by Lady Elyse la Bref.

Their Majesties invited Duchess Angelik de Beauvais to attend Them.  They informed Her Grace that They had come into the possession of something of hers and presented her with her scroll commemorating the recognition of her status as a Duchess of Aethelmearc.  Scroll by Mistress Kris Gilibari upon a text by THLord Cadell Blaidd du.

Lady Alfgifu of the Glen was recalled into Their Court.  Lady Aelfgifu wished to present Her Majesty Ilish with a token from the Shire for Her teaching of a class during the day. 

Their Majesties thanked Duke Rurik Longsword, the autocrat, for putting together the event, Lady Aelfgifu of the Glen for coordinating the classes, Baroness Marci of Hadley for preparing the food, and the rest of the staff.   They thanked the fighters, the children’s activities coordinators, and the scribes and wordsmiths who contributed scrolls to Their Court.
