The Report of the Court of Their Majesties Duncan and Ilish, King and Queen of the Sylvan Kingdom of Aethelmearc, at the Coronation of Their Heirs, Christopher and Morgen, Prince and Princess of Aethelmearc, on the 9th day of April anno societatis 45 in the Canton of Steltonwald, THLord Brandubh Ó Donnghaile, Silver Buccle, with the assistance of THLord Cadell Blaidd du.

Their Majesties invited the populace to sign the memorial book for Baron Mack Cooper at the side of the Hall.

Lady Niamh O’Labhradha was inducted into the Order of the Keystone in absentia for her work in support of the Shire of Gryffyns Keep as exchequer and tollner at events.  Scroll by Lady Elyse le Bref.

Their Majesties called Lady Magdalena Binder to attend Them.  They had heard much of her efforts to further the Thrown Weapons in the Barony of the Rhydderich Hael.  She had started the Axes and Ales Tournament at Pennsic, and had advised other kingdoms in how to start such tournaments.  For this Their Majesties inducted her into the Order of the White Horn.  Scroll by Lady Mary Elizabeth Clason.

Lady Ismay Ponde was called into Court and inducted into the Order of the Fleur d’Aethelmearc for her many skills in scribal arts.  She is well known for making scrolls suited to each recipient’s persona, excelling in Chinese scrolls, and even carving stamps for the royalty to sign the scrolls in the proper manner.  Scroll by THLady Marija Kotok.

Their Majesties summoned Their Heir, His Highness, Prince Christopher Rawlins to attend Them.  His Highness brought forth his claim to the Throne of Aethelmearc, as was his right by law.  Their Majesties called for Witnesses to attest to this claim.  Sir Tristan Sexwulf spoke as the Earl Marshal, Master William de Montegilt spoke as Seneschal, and THLady Maria Christina de Cordoba spoke as Ministress of the Lists and all verified His Highness Christopher’s claim to the throne.  Their Majesties acknowledged that His Highness’s claim was right and just, and They would abide by the laws of Aethelmearc.  His Highness Christopher then retired to prepare while Their Majesties, Duncan and Ilish finished the business of Their Court.

Their Majesties invited Baroness Elisabeth Johanna von Flossenburg to attend Them and thanked her for all the help that she had provided to Them with caring for the princesses during Their reign.

Their Majesties invited Mistress Amaryllis Coleman to attend and thanked her, and THLady Felicitas Flussmullnerin in absentia for their generous time and efforts in clothing Their Majesties.

Their Majesties invited Viscount Bear the Wallsbane and Viscountess Judith of Kirtland to attend.  Their Majesties thanked them both for the inspiration that they had shown Them during Their reign and bestowed upon both of them the Aethelmearc Award of Excellence.  Scrolls by THLady Anlaith ingen Trena, and Lady Sthurrim Caithnes.

Their Majesties further thanked Lady Renata the Rouge for all of her help at events in caring for Their Majesties’ children.

Lord Lorenz Buttermann and Lady Christina Buttermann were given Sigils for travelling after Their Majesties to serve as Guard and retainer.  Scrolls by Mistress Gillian Llwelyn and Lady Aibell Shuluaine.

Their Majesties gave a Sigil to Lady Ursula of Rouen for being the ultimate retainer, and not being afraid of a big hot mess.  Scroll by THLord Cadell Blaidd du upon a text by Their Majesties.

Duke Rurik Longsword was given a Sigil for his muscle behind the scenes, advice, and care of the princesses.  Scroll by Lady Vivienne of Yardley.

Baroness Osa of the Green Land was given a Sigil for her service as head lady in waiting, her common sense and care for Their Majesties Daughters.  Scroll by Countess Branwen ferch Gwythyr.

Their Majesties called Dona Katherine Viviane and Sir Alric of the Mists to attend Them.  They gave both of them Sigils for their service as captain of the Queen’s Guard and Chivalry Advisor to the Queen.  Scrolls by Sir Sextus Plinius Callidus.

Their Majesties gave Sigils to Sir Stevan Ulfkellson and Misress Marci of Hadley for their service as Keeper of the Privy Seal to the Crown and Reign Coordinator.  Scrolls by Baroness Barbary Rose and Countess Aidan ni Leir.

Their Majesties then summoned Her Majesty’s guard to Them.  His Majesty thanked them for their service in keeping His Queen and Daughters safe, and Her Majesty further thanked them for their service and presented them with a token of her thanks.  They turned in their baldrics to Dona Katherine Viviane, the captain of the guard and were dismissed.

Their Majesties then called Their staff of retainers and advisors and thanked them for their service and released them from service. 

Their Majesties called for Count Jehan de la Marche to attend Them.  Their Majesties returned to his keeping the scepters and cloaks that he had presented Them with upon Their Coronation.

Their Majesties then rose and His Majesty Duncan thanked Her Majesty Ilish for being His Queen, and She thanked Him for making Her Princess and Queen.  His Majesty then took the crown from Ilish’s head and placed it upon the throne as he released her from the burden of the crown.  Sir Alric of the Mists then escorted Ilish out of the court.

His Majesty then called for His Heir, Prince Christopher to come forth.  His Highness was now prepared to take the burden of the crown of the Kingdom, and swore his oath to King Duncan upon the Sword of State.  His Majesty Duncan then removed the crown from His head and crowned Christopher Rawlins 28th King of the Sylvan Lands of Aethelmearc.
