Letter of Intent #102
Abhainn Ciach Ghlais
Heralds
To the esteemed Cornelian and Garnet Heralds of our
fair Kingdom of Aethelmearc, greetings from the Shire
of Abhainn Ciach Ghlais.
Our commentary on the ILOI AE 102 is as follows:
#1:Berwyn Conall of Blackwood: new name and device.
Name: clear.
Device: the chevron appears to be a pile, but in
any case the device violates the rule against color on
color and cannot pass.
#2: Domnall na nAmus: New name and device.
Name: clear.
Device: clear.
#3: Hadja al Zahra': new name.
Name: Clear.
#4: Helewys Spynnere: new name.
Name: clear.
#5: Phiala O'Ceallaigh: resubmitted device.
Device: clear.
#6: Phiala O'Caellaigh: new badge.
Badge: clear.
#7: Rowan de la Garnison: new badge.
Badge: in checking for conflicts we noticed the
following devices which appear in conflict with each
other and for which we would like clarification:
Aldyth Trefaldwyn 96 03 Outlands: "per fess rayonny
purpure or in chief a hare courant argent" and Matilda
Beoville de Bella Aqua 91 12 East: "per fess embattled
gules and argent erminned azure in chief a coney
courant argent". We wonder why these two were not
found in conflict. In any case, unless the 3 tourneau
of Rowan de la Garnison's badge add a value as
difference, it appears to BE IN CONFLICT with the
above.
