Letter of Intent #103
Raventongue Commenting Group

Unto THLady Alheydis von Korchingen, Garnet Herald,

Greetings!

Here follows the commentary on the ILOI # 103.  These comments prepared by the Ravenstongue Commenting Group: THL Matilda Bosvyle de Belacqua, THL Pleasance de Cogniere, & Baron Frodrikr Tomasson.

  1. Gytha Oggasdohtor: New Name & Device.

No problems with the name.  Stylistic comment:  The chevron needs to move further into the base or the cat needs to shrink & move up.

  1. Halldor bildr: New Name & Device

The name should probably be Halldorr inn Bildr (Halldorr the Builder).

Consider Sandor Hackbrett: Argent, two hammers in saltire vert. (West, 1987).  One for the change of tincture.  Probably one for position of the charges.

Also consider Valbjorn Flettjir: Argent, two Thor's hammers and another inverted gules. (Middle, 1996).  One for number & one for position, but still close.

  1. Juliana Woolworth: New Nae & Device.

Nice name & cant.

  1. Maria Caterina da Rauvenna: New Name.

All ok.

  1. Marion la rousse: New Name

All ok.

  1. Niccola di Cristiano: New Badge

Consider Emeric Wendel: Per pale argent and gules, a Maltese cross counterchanged. (Middle, 1979).   One for field & maybe one for the same change in tincture of charges.  However, consider the visual outline conflict.

And Lodewicus von Furstenwalde: Per pale sable and argent, a Maltese cross counterchanged.  (West, 1995).  Same count & comment.

  1. Serena Finn: New Name & Device.

Conflict with Isabella d’Hirier: Azure, a unicorn's head couped argent collared gules. (Drachenwald, 1997).   One for the secondary charges.

  1. Yang suGyong: Change of Name & Resubmitted Device

Name is very good.

We believe there is a possible conflict with Astrid Thorvardsdatter: Per pale argent and azure, two wings conjoined in lure counterchanged. (Atlantia, 1998) and Dêmêtrios ho Antiokheús: Per pale argent and gules, in chief a pair of wings displayed, tips inverted, counterchanged. (Middle, 2005).   One for tincture changes, but nothing for the imposed trillium.

This concludes our commentary.

In service, writing for the commenting group,

Fridrikr
