2. Berewyn Connell of Blackwode - No conflicts found.
4. Rhiannon le Meke - No conflicts found with the name.
The harpy is not counterchanged, as it is not goutty. This is "Per pale
azure and Or goutty gules, a harpy displayed per pale Or and azure." No
conflicts found.
5. Siobhan Griffyn - The name combines Gaelic and English, meaning
that it is not authentic. <Griffyn> is a form of <Gruffudd>, a Welsh
name, and I have no evidence that <Gruffudd> was adopted into Gaelic
in any form. So, to give her an authentic name, I recommend changing
the given name to an anglicized form. The same article which as
<Griffyn> also has <Johanna>, so <Johanna Griffyn> would be an excellent
name for a woman living in 14th century Ireland.
6. Thorolf The Blak - The arms violate XI.3 and must be returned
for marshalling.
<Thorolf> is an acceptable anglicized form of <{TH}{o'}rolfr>, and the
byname is a reasonable lingua anglica of <inn svarti>. The OED online
s.v. black dates the submitted spelling to c1300: "Al blak so colebrond."
The article should not be capitalized.
As this is a wholly Norse name, there is no weirdness for the lingual
combination. I found no conflicts.
7. Tigernach mac Cathail - No conflicts found.
