Letter of Intent #111

Noble Heralds!

1: Abhain ri Naimh - New Branch Name
The only documentation supplied for the group name is a list of  translations of elements, which were found in an unspecified online  English-Gaelic dictionary.

This name should be returned unless someone can find some real  documentation.

2: Barak Elandris Bear the Walsbane - New Augmentation of Arms
Per chevron inverted grady sable, a bear's paw print Or, and in  chief a demi-escarbuncle argent.
This design lacks a visible line of division between the chief and  the rest of the design.
Yes, you can stand on your head and describe it, but it just doesn't  make sense.
12: Giovanni da Monza - New Name & New Device

Gyronny of eight Or and sable, three griffins sergeant gules.

OOH! Tres pretty. I hope that these arms make it through Laurel.
16: Nishimura Saburou - New Name

Submitter desires a masculine name.
Authenticity NOT requested.
Meaning (third son) most important.

Nishimura - Solveig Throndardottir, Name Construction in Mediaeval  Japan, p. 104, dates this surname to 1568 and gives the meanings of  the elements as "west" (nishi) and "village" (mura).

Saburou - Solveig Throndardottir, Name Construction in Mediaeval  Japan, p. 212, dates this masculine yobina to 1572 and gives the  meaning as "third son."

If this fellow plans on being an adult bushi, then he should have a  nanori as well as a zokumyô.
17: Petr Kotok - New Device

Quarterly gules and sable, a bezant between eight sickles, hafts to  center, in annulo Or.

What is the current precedent governing radial symmetry? I recall big  name heralds having hissy fits against radial symmetry a few years back.
