Æthelmearc Letter of Report Æ125
April 6, 2010 (AS 44)

Greetings from Fridrikr Garnet and Alheydis Cornelian,
We would very much like to thank those who commented on this month's letter!
The items accepted on this letter have been forwarded to Laurel for further consideration, where we expect they will be decided on in July 2010.

1: Æthelmearc, Kingdom of - New Badge Accepted
[Fieldless] On an open scroll gules, two quill pens in saltire argent

2: Amalie Jäger von Holstein - New Name & New Device  Accepted
Argent, a horse rampant and on a chief rayonny enarched purpure, two bears sejant erect reguardant argent.

3: Boi Quickfoot - Resub Device Accepted
Argent, in pale two rapiers inverted in saltire and a lion rampant sable, a bordure sable platy.

I have corrected the blazon to make sure that that lion is NOT platy.

4: Brada Æthelward - New Name Change From Holding Name Accepted

I have correctec the {th} & {dh} in the examples.

5: Folan Wayfarer - Resub Badge Accepted
Per chevron azure and gules, an increscent, a decrescent and a wolf ululant argent.

I have corrected the blazon.

6: Gaius Sergius Vettius - Resub Device Accepted
Per chevron gules and sable, an eagle displayed erminois within a bordure embattled Or.

7: Hauoc the Wild - New Device Accepted
Per chevron gules and sable, an eagle displayed erminois within a bordure embattled Or.

8: Huon Damebrigge - New Name Change & New Device Change Accepted
Per saltire Or and vert, on a pale cotised sable a crecent and overall an owl rising wings displayed and inverted argent.

9: Huon Damebrigge - New Badge Change Accepted
[Fieldless] On the bowl of a spoon inverted argent a blackletter miniscule h sable.

10: Isabel de Fleur - New Name Accepted & New Device Returned
Azure, on a pile argent a fleur-de-lis azure.

The device conflicts with Eleanora Valentina Beota (December 2007 via Artemesia): Azure, on a pile ployé argent, a hummingbird hovering vert.  There is a CD for the changes between the fleur-de-lis and the hummingbird.  However, there is no difference between the pile and the pile ployé.

11: Padraig na Féasóige Ó Céileachair - Resub Name Changed
Submitter desires a masculine name.
Culture (Irish Gaelic) most important.

I have changed the patronymic to the late Anglicized to bring this name into temporal compatability.

12: Randal of Berwick - New Name Change & New Device Change Accepted
Per pale vert and azure, three eagles argent.

13: Randal of Berwick - New Badge Accepted
[Fieldless] a water bouget sable.

Versus Merouda Pendray (via the Middle, 1997): (Fieldless) On a water bouget sable, two ermine spots Or, there is the CD for Fieldlessness and an additional CD for deleting the ermine spots.

14: Sigris Burckhart - New Name & New Device Accepted
Argent, three roundels sable, a bordure gules.

15: Solveig Throndardottir - New Household Name Accepted
Accademia Minerva

While I'm not absolutely certain that this form is 100% accurate to period, I'm going to let Laurel have a crack at it.

16: Solveig Throndardottir - New Badge Returned
(Fieldless) An owl rising wings displayed sable.

This is returned for conflict with Prussia: Argent, an eagle displayed sable crowned Or.  There is no significant difference between the owl rising wings displayed and an eagle displayed.  As the owl is not in its default position (statant close), it gives up its significant difference against birds of different types. Thus there is but 1 CD for fieldlessness.

17: Willehalm Bärenjäger - New Name Accepted

This concludes our Letter of Report Æ125 dated April 6, 2010.
