Greetings from Solveig!
2. Per bend vert and argent, a compass star and a bordure sable
The compass star is a "weirdness". I am a bit
concerned about
the relatively low contrast between the sable
compass star and
the vert portion of the field.
3. Gyronny Or and vert, a bear rampant contourny sable within a bordure
sable seme of descrescents Or
The bordure is way too narrow and the
decrescents are way
too small. The emblazon should be redrawn.
6. Gules, a heart and a chief rayonny enarched Or
It looks like a very large demi sun to me. I'm
not at all
confident about enarching a rayonny chief.
8. Purpure, a unicorn rampant contourny argent and on a chief engrailed
Or three harps vert
The unicorn looks anorexic. The overall design
looks fairly
simple and unified despite the artificial
complexity count.
9. (Fieldless) A stand of three cattails slipped and leaved proper
Are cattails known to Europe in period? Maybe,
I just don't
know. Apparently yes. However, they are known
in England
as: bulrush, bullrush, or reedmace. Would not
the British
word be more appropriate than the American?
Regardless,
should not these synonyms be checked?
10. Per fess azure and sable, a phoenix and in chief a heart sustained
by a pair of hands fesswise aversant argent
Shouldn't the hands and heart be a tad bigger?
