| 1: Ælfgifu Ælfhelmes dohter - Resub Name
Accepted & Resub Device Pended Or, a thistle proper, a sinister gore azure. Originally submitted as Ælfgifu Ælfshelm doughter. We have changed the spelling to a proper form with the submitter's permission. We don't think that the historic Aelgifu Aelfshelmes dohter is important enough to protect. The device conflicts with Briana Campbell (reg. 2/09 via the East): Or, a thistle proper, in canton a dragonfly bendwise azure. I am in touch with Lady Briana concerning a Letter of Permission to Conflict. The device is pended awaiting the outcome of the negotiations. |

We have altered the spelling of the first name to match the documented form as an Anglicized Irish name. The submitter does allow changes. It is my understanding that Damhan is pronounced the same as Davan which was her concern. Many thanks to Margaret for her help on this name. |
